This is a simple hail test team for the OU ladder on Shoddy Battle. The team takes advantage of the new Frost Rotom form to act as its anti-spinner, instead of its weaker, less sturdy competition in Froslass. Althought he doesn't get STAB on Blizzard, it is powerful enough in combination with Thunderbolt to take a few things out. The key to this team is setting up entry hazards, then removing the opponents after they blow up on hopefully the turn of Abomasnow's Protect, Heatran, or Rotom. The team is built extremely slow, not just with the strategy, but the pokemon are also all fairly slow. In order to fix this(if needed after further testing), I would place a TrickScarf Suicide Lead Azelf in the front, then switch Heatran to Scarf.
Azelf @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -SpA)
EV: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
-Explosion
-U-Turn
-Zen Headbutt
-Ice Punch
This is an interesting set I have been toying with recently. Choice Scarf Azelf is extremely good at revenge killing threats, such as DD Salamence or DD Kingdra. A fast Explosion off of 383 attack is going to kill anything that doesn't resist. U-Turn is for scouting and it allows me to take out other lead Azelfs by U-Turning to Abomasnow. This will sweep late game when everything has been set up.
Abomasnow @ Leftovers
Ability: Snow Warning
Nature: Sassy (+SpD, -Spe)
EV: 252 HP / 84 SpA / 96 SpD / 76 Spe
-Wood Hammer
-Blizzard
-Leech Seed
-Protect
Abomasnow is the star of the team, as without him, there would be no hail(or atleast not for more than 7 turns). Leech Seed+Protect can stall out a few pokemon, but the most important part is healing my teammates. Abomasnow is my main switch into Suicune, as he can easily Leech Seed it, then pound away with Wood Hammer to either force a switch or KO it. Protect is nice for scouting ScarfTran's move, allowing me to decide if I should switch to my own Heatran or absorb the Earth Power.
Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
Nature: Modest (+SpA, -Atk)
EV: 252 HP / 96 Def / 100 SpA / 60 SpD
-Lava Plume
-Taunt
-Stealth Rock
-Earth Power
Heatran is one of my favorite pokemon to use on hail teams, as it absorbs fire moves easily. Then, it can set up Stealth Rock quickly, and simply Taunt things like Blissey when she shows her face. Lava Plume cripples Gyarados and Salamence severely if they get burned, and it is great at forcing switches. The EVs are just the Resttalk spread.
Rotom-F @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Bold (+Def, -Atk)
EV: 252 HP / 120 Def / 136 SpD
-Thunderbolt
-Blizzard
-Rest
-Sleep Talk
Rotom-F is absolutely necessary on Hail teams. He switches into fighting moves with impunity, while also helping by taking ground attacks aimed at Heatran and Tentacruel (common Hail team assetts). A very powerful boltbeamish combo here, but with Blizzard>Ice Beam. Rest and Sleep Talk for survivability, as this is my anti-spin pokemon.
Tentacruel @ Leftovers
Ability: Liquid Ooze
Nature: Calm (+SpD, -Atk)
EV: 204 HP / 96 SpA / 172 SpD / 36 Spe
-Rapid Spin
-Toxic Spikes
-Surf
-Knock Off
Well Tentacruel obtains Knock Off in Platinum, so this set is completely legitimate. This provides the necessary Spinner of a hail team, as well as setting up Toxic Spikes and absorbing opposing TS. Knock Off gets rid of Leftovers and random choice items, aiding me either way. It also helps those fools who think just because I have Rapid Spin I can't have Knock Off, thus sending in a Tricker so mess with my strategy.
Walrein @ Leftovers
Ability: Ice Body
Nature: Bold (+Def, -Atk) / Impish (+Def, -SpA)
EV: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
-Protect
-Substitute
-Roar
-Surf / Dive
Walrein is the king of hail stall. Once Stealth Rock and Toxic Spikes have been set up, he can move forward with his devious plans. Protect with Toxic Spikes is your basic Toxistall, while Substitute can give me two free turns. Roar is there for getting rid of anything I don't like. The last slot is a tough decision. Surf gives me a great STAB attack to hurt Skarmory and Weezing, who are immune to Toxic Spikes, but Dive can buy me an extra turn of Toxic damage and can really annoy people combined with Substitute. Bold obviously goes with Surf, while Impish goes with Dive.

Azelf @ Choice Scarf
