RMT : My first competitive OU Team

Alright, this is my first team so please give me feedback, I'm also new to battling in general so if you can help me think of what to switch into what on it would be greatly appreciated.

Skarmory @ Shed Shell
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP 64 ATK 192 DEF
Nature: Bold
- Aerial Ace
- Stealth Rock
- Roost
- Roar

Lead with this skarmory, with shed shell he wont get stuck in so i just set up SR and roar until I need to switch. He also serves as my physical wall later in the game.

Blissey @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP 252 DEF 4 SPD
Nature: Lax
- Thunder Wave
- Focus Blast
- Softboiled
- Flamethrower

Blissey is my special wall and basically just stalls when im in a bad situation plus, with sand stream and SR up i can stall them out to KO due to sand stream.

Scizor @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 ATK 252 HP 4 SPE
Nature: Adamant
- Bullet Punch
- Superpower
- U-Turn
- Pursuit

Scizor is my Physical Sweeper, he comes in on bulky waters or azelf, gengar, and alakazam for a quick U-Turn.

Dragonite @ Life Orb
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 112 ATK 200 SPA 196 SPE
Nature: Rash
- Superpower
- Draco Meteor
- Flame Thrower
- Roost

Dragonite is a Mixed Sweeper, Roost is there over t-bolt to roost off life orb and SR damage, Superpower takes out Blissey and Heatran, Draco Meteor hits Swampert and Hippowodon hard. Flame Thrower is for skarmory and metagross.

Tyranitar @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP 52 ATK 176 SPA 28 SPE
Nature: Quiet
- Substitute
- Focus Punch
- Dark Pulse
- Ice Beam

Basic Tyraniboah, ice beam owns most ground types, outspeeds blissey, so i can sub b4 it toxics and then i get a free focus punch.

Togekiss @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP 152 SPA 104 SPE
Nature: Modest
- Nastly Plot
- Roost
- Air Slash
- Aura Sphere

Nastly plot togekiss. Nasty plot once and then sweep there team with mainly air slash ; hopefully they flinch and then finish them with aura sphere.

Skarmory: Brave Bird or Drill Peck over Aerial Ace, Skarmory needs all the power it can get.

Blissey: Focus Blast is too innacurate, use Toxic over it. Blissey is great as a Wish-Passer too, since it can work with Protect and Toxic.

Scizor: K.

Dragonite: Earthquake over Superpower, between Superpower and Draco Meteor, you'll lower your Attack and Special Attack so often you'll have to switch, which is annoying with Dragonite's weakness to Stealth Rock. Then, if you use Earthquake, you might as well use Salamence.

Tyrannitar: K.

Togekiss: Gengar might be better as a Special Sweeper. If you dislike Gengar, there are also several other Special sweppers, like Zapdos, Jirachi, SpecsLuke (it's actually surprising now), Porygon-Z and Latias. But Togekiss is slow and vulnerable to Scizor, who might switch in as you Nasty Plot and force you out with Bullet Punch

Overall: The offence is solid, but your defence is too weak to take any real battering, so you might want to change it for either 2 more bulky sweepers, or a single wall and another sweeper. In the current metagame, balanced team are difficult to use because you lack the power to break through pure Stall, and lack the sturdiness to handle pure offensive teams.

I also see a MixNape weakness, who can OHKO 4/6 of your team (5/6 if it packs Hidden Power Ice over Nasty Plot), a MixMence Weakness, a Swords Dance Lucario Weakness (Ice Punch or Stone Edge gets rid of Dragonite and Togekiss, Close Combat gets rid of Tyrannitar, Blissey, Scizor and seriously dents Skarmory).

And welcome to Smogon.

Blissey is taking almost all your team's special attacks, so maybe change the spread to Calm with 80 HP, 252 Def, 176 SpD. Blissey needs the extra Special Defense to avoid getting 2HKOed by Pokemon such as like SpecsLuke's Aura Sphere. This spread also allows Blissey to take Focus Blasts from Gengar more effeciently. Blissey has no use for a Lax Nature since that lowers Blissey's Special Defense. Blissey is supposed to be a Special Wall and lowering its Special Defense makes it unable to do that at its fullest potential. That is why Calm is the better choice since it boost Blissey's Special Defense and lowers Attack which Blissey has no use for. I do not see any reason for Focus Blast on Blissey. Flamethrower already hits some of Blissey's most common switch in for super effective damage such as Lucario, Scizor and Mamoswine. Although Focus Blast does hit Tyranitar super effectively, you should not be staying in on Tyranitar since Tyranitar will most likely come out on top since Focus Blast cannot OHKO Tyranitar due to Blissey having mediocre Special Attack. I suggest using Seismic Toss over Focus Blast. Seismic Toss allows Blissey to effectively take on Calm Mind Latias, Calm Mind Jirachi and Calm Mind Suicune. Without Seismic Toss, your team is very vulnerable to those above aforementioned threats. Now, Blissey has no use for a Lax Nature since that lowers Blissey's Special Defense. Blissey is supposed to be a Special Wall and lowering its Special Defense makes it unable to do that at its fullest potential. Also, change Blissey's ability to Natural Cure. You already have Thunder Wave to inflict status on an opposing Pokemon and relying on Flmaethrowers boost from Serene Grace to inflict burn is unreliable. Natural Cure allows Blissey to instantly heal from any status condition it may obtain when it switches out. For example, this can come in handy if your opponent has set up Toxic Spikes and your Blissey is getting worn down. Blissey switches out and gets cured of Poison.

Now on Scizor, it will enjoy some added bulk since it is really your only Steel-type that you can count on being around in the mid game. Try a spread of 200 HP / 252 Atk / 56 Spe. With that EV spread, Scizor will be able to outspeed most Skarmory, Metagross, and CB Tyranitar with the 56 Speed EV's. That EV's invested into HP will also help you take hits from Latias allowing you to Pursuit it for the kill. If you would like a Scizor that is more Specially Defensively oriented that is more suited switching into opposing Latias and Gengar's Special Attacks to Pursuit them, try a set with 24 HP / 252 Atk / 176 SpD / 56 Spe. With the Special Defense EV's, you will be able to take Draco Meteor's and Focus Blast's more effectively.

Now I do not think that Skarmory is the best lead in the current metagame. Many common leads such as Heatran, Swampert, Jirachi, Metagross, Azelf, Infernape and Aerodactyl can either cripple it with Taunt (Azelf and Aerodactyl) finish it off in one hit ( Heatran, Azelf, Infernape,) or cripple it with Trick (Azelf, Metagross, Jirachi) All of those Pokemon prevent Skarmory from being an effective lead. I'm not sure what to replca eit with though. On Skarmory, you want Whirlwind over Roar. Both moves do the same thing, however, Pokemon with SoundProof will prevent Skarmory from Phazing them away. Even though SounProof users such as Mr.Mime are not too common, it is good to have a way to Phaze them away. Next, Skarmory want Brave Bird over Aerial Ace. Aerial Ace is such a weak move on Skarmory and will be doing little to no damage on a variety of Pokemon that are hit super effectively from the move such as Celebi. Go with Brave Bird. With Brave Bird, Skarmory hits quite hard. Even though it gives recoil damage, you will be able to Roost of the damage that Skarmory gets. With Brave Bird and 64 Atk EV's, you will be able to OHKO Lucario with Brave Bird after a Defense drop from Close Combat and Stealth Rock factored in. Brave Bird also allows you to 2HKO most Gyarados assuming you have not been Intimidated. Aerial Ace fails to do all of those things meaning Brave Bird is the superior choice. For Skarmory's EV spread, I suggest using 252 HP / 64 Atk / 176 Def / 16 Spe. That EV spread may not look all that different from your current one, however, it is more effective and I wil explain why. 16 Speed EVs allows Skarmory to outspeed most Rhyperior allowing it to Roost and stall out its Stone Edge.

Your team has a huge weakness to Mixed Infernape since none of your Pokemon can safely switch in. Close Combat, Hidden Power Ice, Grass Knot, Fire Blast take care of your entire team. Only Togekiss can actually have a chance to survive. I think you should replace Togekiss with something such as Starmie who can take on Infernape. Togekiss just adds to your Stealth Roock weakness and adds a second Ice and Rock weakness to your team. Starmie is capable of dealing with Infernape and Gyarados too, whom you seem to have trouble with. Starmie makes a decent lead if you want to use it over Skarmory. Starmie is able to deal with many common leads such as Heatran, Infernape, and many others.

Focus blast on blissy is lol. Keep blissey simple (reminds me of a bliss with thunder, iron tail and something), icebeam/flamethrower are there simply to cover dragons/scizors that try to net free SDs. SO for i think flamethrower/aromatherapy over focus blast, or, you could go with with a wish bliss (so wish over softboiled and protect over focus blast) as this would help with stalling
