Tentacruel@Black Sludge
Bold 252HP/240Def/16Spe
-Toxic Spikes
-Rapid Spin
-Scald
-HP Fire
My lead. He'll probably be able to set up two layers of Toxic Spikes due to his bulk with this EV spread. He is also my Rapid Spinner, which is very important because I'm running Volcarona with this team. He has Scald for a chance to cripple physical attackers and HP Fire for the annoying steels this gen. After the spikes are set up, he'll be switched out to a more suitable Pokemon to fight. He is easy to switch in to because of his defenses and Liquid Ooze.
Snorlax@Chesto Berry
Careful 188HP/104Def/216SpDef
-Curse
-Brick Break
-Crunch
-Rest
A Curselax. Nice bulk with this set allows him to take many hits, especially physical because of Curse. After he can't take hits anymore, I can then proceed to Rest and wake up right away with the Chesto Berry. I would like advice on what two moves to use for most coverage. I was thinking Crunch for ghosts and Brick Break for everything else, but I'm not too sure. I don't want to switch him out after he has set up unless the situation forces me to.
Gengar@Life Orb
Timid 252SpAtk/252Spe/4Def (0HP IVs)
-Substitute
-Pain Split
-Shadow Ball
-Focus Blast
A Subsplit Gengar. Works wonder and can probably set up a sub first due to his high speed. I'll set up as many subs as possible before Pain Splitting, then take out the opposing Pokemon with Shadow Ball or Focus Blast. If granted a free sub, then Shadow Ball or Focus Blast can be used for a 2HKO.
Archeops@Flying Gem/Sitrus Berry
Jolly 252Atk/252Spe/4HP
-Acrobatics
-Rock Slide
-Quick Attack
-Earthquake
A quick sweeper for the revenge kill. With max speed and attack, Archeops can hit very hard without much outspeeding it. Acrobatics is the main move for as much damage as possible. Rock Slide is for STAB and coverage. Quick Attack can clean up anything that survived before it hits Archeops hard enough to activate Defeatist. The last slot goes to Earthquake to hit steels. The Smogon moveset for Archeops says Protect, but I don't see the point in it. Flying Gem is probably the item of choice for this set, but I may run Sitrus Berry to heal off his HP if needed.
Machamp@Lum Berry
Adamant 252HP/252Atk/4Spe
-Dynamic Punch
-Ice Punch
-Payback
-Bullet Punch
A No Guard Machamp will always land a Dynamic Punch, causing confusion to anything that survives a STAB 100 base power attack coming from 394Atk. Bullet Punch is priority to finish off anything that survives Machamp's attack. Payback is to hit Ghosts and Ice Punch is for coverage.
Volcarona@Leftovers
Timid 252SpAtk/252Spe/4HP
-Quiver Dance
-Bug Buzz
-Fiery Dance
-HP Rock
A very dangerous (if used correctly) Quiver Dance Volcarona. I've not used this Pokemon at all, so it may be hard to set up. The basics is to set up against a special attacker and increase his sweeper stats along with his already-high SpDef. Bug Buzz and Fiery Dance are for two strong STABs and HP Rock is to hit any Pokemon that resist the other two moves, such as Flying dragons, Gyarados, etc. I didn't know what item to give, so I just used Rocky Helmet. It can damage anyone who takes advantage of Volcarona's low defense stat and hopefully weaken it enough to get OHKO'd.
Any help is greatly appreciated. If something is lacking, please tell me what some good replacements for moves, items, and Pokemon would be.
