RMT Round 2!!

Venusaur @ Venusaurite
Thick Fat
252 Hp, 252 Def, 4 SpDef
Bold

Leech Seed
Synthesis
Sludge Bomb
Giga Drain

He is my favorite pokemon and one I always try to include in my team. Mega Venusaur is so bulky it's almost not fair. He is my main defensive pokemon on my team as he's able to take on almost anything that isn't Psychic or Flying. I love watching Earthquakes do 25-30%. I chose to go with a physical tank since my team only has Rotom W and I still don't 100% trust him. I being able to tank physical attacks. Other than that he is pretty much set up to stall and slowly drain the opponent's health through leech seed. Giga drain is damage and healing, synthesis is for more healing and sludge bomb is a healthy stab attack for him. The 30% chance to poison is nice as it's just another way to wear down the opponent. Being physically defensive it especially leaves him vulnerable to Psychic and Flying attacks which seem to be more special than physical. To deal with his Flying weakness I chose Rotom W for part 2 of the F/W/G core. I had sleep powder instead of leech seed for a bit, but I couldn't rely on it, and I missed the steady recovery of leech seed.

Rotom W @ Leftovers
Levitate
252 Hp, 252 Def, 4 SpAtk
Bold

Volt Switch
Will O Wisp
Hydro Pump
Confuse Ray

Rotom is able to take Venusaur's flying attacks fairly reliable. His healthpool isn't the largest. Fairly standard moveset. Will O Wisp for residual damage and lowering physical opponent's attack. Hydro Pump for STAB, Volt Switch for bringing in a better match up. I chose confuse ray because I'm not sure there is really many other options and it's a nice opportunity to maybe get a free switch in or just another way to cause some indirect damage. I am considering Chesto/Resto to replace Leftovers/Confuse Ray, but right now I prefer steady recovery through leftovers than an all at once but only once heal in rest. Rotom also does a nice job in covering some weaknesses of my team, namely Fire attacks for Scizor and Ground attacks for Heatran.

Heatran @ Leftovers
Flash Fire
248 Hp, 252 Sp Def, 8 Def
Calm

Lava Plume
Stealth Rock
Ancient Power
Toxic

Part 3 of F/W/G core. Heatran is able to take fire attacks for Venusaur and Scizor. Because of flash fire he is immune to them and gets a nice little special attack boost. Though because he is specially defensive with nothing invested into special attack, I feel like I'm not getting as much benefit out of it as I could. I recently put stealth rock into him instead of Protect. I like protect as a potential scouting move, but I chose stealth rock right now because I don't think my team has much offensive fire power so I need all the damage I can. Though it is sort of self defeating as I have defog on Scizor. Lava Plume is STAB with a chance to burn, Ancient Power helps me with Talonflame but especially Charizard Y which has been the bane of any team I've ever tried to battle with. Also providing good defense against most pokemon with his 11 resistances. I chose Toxic over Will O Wisp since Lava Plume can already burn and Rotom W has Will O Wisp.

Scizor @ Life Orb
Technician
252 Hp, 40 Atk, 216 SpDef
Adamant

U-Turn
Defog
Bullet Punch
Roost

I want Scizor to come in late game and clean up with Bullet Punch. Maybe I should invest more EVs into his attack stat? Maybe I should add Swords Dance? Bullet Punch is my bread and butter. I love priority moves. I have U-Turn to maybe get the upperhand with a switch in. Roost is to keep him alive from Life Orb as well as I like to have my entire team somehow able to get some health back as I expect my matches to take a bit longer. Defog to deal with screens which would destroy me since I don't have much firepower. Defog also helps with entry hazards and this is important to me. My team has every possible attack type covered at 1/2 damage somehow somewhere, so I plan to do plenty of switching in and out and hazards would destroy me. Scizor also lures fire attacks for Heatran to absorb and boost himself.

Togekiss @ Leftovers
Serene Grace
252 Hp, 212 Def, 44 SpDef
Bold

Wish
Protect
Heal Bell
Dazzling Gleam

Togekiss takes fighting and ground moves for Heatran. He keeps my team healthy. For some reason I just find a healer/wish passer necessary. Fairly good defenses here. I was using Air Slash for awhile for the extra chance to flinch but Togekiss just isn't fast enough to make good use of it so I went with Dazzling Gleam for Dragons, not sure what else to do. I could put Thunder Wave on it and if I get taunted well then eff it yolo.

Scrafty @ Assault Vest
Intimidate
252 Hp, 252 Atk, 4 Def
Impish

Drain Punch
Knock Off
Ice Punch
Thunder Punch

Scrafty covers Psychic damage for Venusaur and Rock damage in general. I wasn't sure what to do with my 6th slot. Scrafty with Assault Vest and Intimidate though is actually pretty damn bulky. Drain Punch is going to restore some health for him otherwise he relies on Wishes. Knock Off is such a great move to hurt a team, and I don't just mean percentage wise. Ice Punch and Thunder Punch are for coverage.

What immediately sticks out to me is my team might be a little too focused on survival and defense. My only pokemon really capable of doing damage is Scizor. I'm not sure if he should be my mega or Venusaur. Regular Venusaur's weakness to fire and ice scares the hell out of me. For the most part though my whole team plays pretty well off of each other. I think everyone is supporting the team as a whole.I'm on the fence between Rotom W and Milotic. Milotic has 1 more weakness and 2 less resistances. But a better movepool I think. I basically gave up on entry hazards. If I carry them on my team I have to worry about Defog as well as carrying a spin blocker. I'd rather just Defog. If I can't use them, then nobody can!

I've been using this team all weekend on Showdown with some good results. I finally made it to 1400+ which I know isn't the best, but it's higher than I've ever been.

Hello there, pretty solid team here. I do have a few suggestions though.
  • I want Scizor to come in late game and clean up with Bullet Punch. Maybe I should invest more EVs into his attack stat? Maybe I should add Swords Dance? Bullet Punch is my bread and butter. Your current Scizor spread will okay as a bulky SD sweeper. I suggest replacing Defog with Swords Dance and U-turn with Knock Off. Swords Dance is pretty self explanatory; boost up and sweep. Knock Off allows you to hit Aegislash hard and nail Heatran for good damage. I do advise opposing Heatran be KO'd before attempting to sweep.
  • What immediately sticks out to me is my team might be a little too focused on survival and defense. My only pokemon really capable of doing damage is Scizor.
Yes it is. Your team looks like half finished stall team with Scizor and Scrafty thrown in lol. If you think you lack the offense, I suggest replcaing Togekiss with Latios. With Scizor running Swords Dance, you lack a hazard remover. Latios fits all your needs as he's immune to Ground, resists Fighting (KOs Fighting types too), has access to Defog and has a lot of firepower. You do loose out on the Wish and cleric support.
  • If you wish to keep Togekiss, I suggest move 4 HP EVs somewhere else to hit an odd number in HP which allows you switch in on SR at least 4 times before dying. Then replace SpDef Heatran with Choice Scarf Heatran. Scarf Heatran is surprisingly fast. It hits 379 Speed, tying with Timid Noivern (who runs that lol). It outspeeds notable threats like Greninja, Thunderus, Mega Pinsir and many more.
  • Minor changes include changing your Scrafty's EV spread to 228 HP / 252 Atk / 28 Spd with Adamant Nature allowing you to outspeed min Speed Tyranitar and hit as hard as possible with Adamant and replacing Rotom-W's Confuse Ray with Pain Split. Pain Split is more reliable than Confuse Ray as confusion is mostly up to chance. Pain Split gives Washtom semi-reliable recovery. It works wonders against Chansey and Blissey as well.
Heatran @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Modest Nature
- Fire Blast
- Lava Plume
- Flash Cannon
- Earth Power
I suppose you can fit Ancient Power here somewhere to nail Zard Y and Talonflame but yeah. You could run Timid to outspeed Mega Manectric and below.

Latios @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Defog
- Thunderbolt / Surf / Roost
You could also run Earthquake on the last slot to hit Heatran, a common Lati@s switch in. HP Fire is also an option to hit Ferrothorn and Scizor
I do hope this wall of text helps you. Good luck with your team!

Thanks for the suggestions, I'm already experimenting with them on Showdown! I'm at 1465 which I think is pretty solid. 2 Questions though --

1.) If Scizor has Knock Off would you recommend replacing Scrafty's Knock Off with something else?
2.) You say if I keep Togekiss I should change Hetran into the scarf set. Currently replaced Togekiss for Latios, but also changed Heatran to the scarf set. Gunna keep trying it, and see how it works, though would like your opinion.

I would still keep Knock Off on Scrafty. It's very useful and checks things like Eviolite Chansey and Weakness Policy Dragonite. If for some reason Knock Off isn't cutting it on Scrafty, Crunch would be the next option to look into.

1.) AM145 hit the nail on the head. The merit of Crunch over Knock Off is it's more consistent and hits Megas harder.
2.) That was because you were worried about a lack of offense lol. But if those changes are working for you, then keep them.
Glad to be of help! Good luck with your team!

Hey there!
Like NotBruceWayne mentioned, this pretty much looks like a half stall team with Scizor and Scrafty thrown in randomly (no offense there ;_;). Even then though you have a solid defensive core in VenuTran +Rotom-W, you're severely lacking firepower on the offensive department. This can be fixed rather easily by changing out one member (I'll go over that in the Bigger Changes part). For starters, I'll propose a few small changes that can improve your team a little without changing anything big at all.

Minor Changes

  • Change your HP EVs to 248 on all of the other pokemon; this gives you an odd number of HP and makes it so that you can switch into stealth rock 1 more time without dying (you'll be left with 1% HP though), as well as letting you survive one more turn of chip damage from sandstorm/hail/burn damage. The 1% can really matter at times, and it's a pretty handy change, considering you literally give up 1 HP to potentially gain 1% HP.
  • Change your Atk IVs to 0 on Togekiss, Heatran and Rotom-W. You're never going to use that Atk stat anyways (you have -Atk natures too, so it really doesn't hurt to). This ensures that you take less damage from Foul Play, which lets you switch into common Foul Play users like Mandibuzz, Umbreon and Amoonguss more readily (not that you're going to see Amoonguss very often, but it really doesn't hurt you to).
Also just rambling on your ending notes; Defog + Stealth Rock might seem pointless, but since is Heatran really Bulky (and should last quite long on your team anyways) you should be able to set up Stealth Rock multiple times during a battle. You can defog when your opponent stacked up too many hazards, and then find an occasion to set SR again on something that doesn't harm Heatran (you're just going to use up 1 turn anyways). Defog + Hazards is pointless if you're using a spikes stacker on your team (as well as a SR setter) , as spikes/toxic spikes take multiple turns to stack and defogging them away yourself is akin to masochism.

Bigger Changes

Since you already replaced Togekiss with Latios, your offensive presence must have already increased by a lot more than before; to round this up, I'd suggest to replace Scrafty with Scarf Garchomp or Thundurus-I. It might seem a little weird to run another dragon in your team, but I don't think it will screw up your synergy that much. You have 3 mons that resist ice and 2 that resist dragon moves, so you should be okay, and it still provides that handy rock resist and a way to hit Rock types for SE damage with STAB Earthquake and a hard hitting STAB Outrage. Thundurus-I on the other hand, is a great offensive check to Mega Pinsir and Talonflame, it supports the team with Prankster Thunder Wave (crippling setup sweepers like Mega Gyarados, who also threatens your team) and can even act as a wallbreaker thanks to Nasty Plot + STAB Thunderbolt. But that isn't really the purpose of those mons in this team. Their purpose is to provide you with a reliable check to Mega Charizard X at +1. What I noticed in this team is that Mega Charizard X can use Scizor, Heatran locked into any of its moves (if it didn't already mega evolve; if it did, it can setup on any move except Earth Power) and Scrafty as setup fodder to easily get a Dragon Dance up and sweep your team (Mega Venusaur really isn't an answer, it gets 2HKO'd by +1 Flare Blitz, Rotom-W gets 2HKO by +1 Dragon Claw and Scrafty gets 2HKOd by Flare Blitz even at -1).
Jolly Scarf Garchomp will reliably revenge kill Adamant/Jolly Mega Charizard X at +1 with either of its STABs, while Thundurus-I can cripple it with Prankster Thunder Wave, regardless of how many dragon dances it managed to get up (might die in the process) and let Scarf Heatran revenge kill it for you.
Whichever choice you make, your team will gain an increase in its offensive presence as well as a way to deal with prominent threats in OU. The sets can be found below with a few notes:

garchomp.gif

Garchomp @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Naive Nature
- Earthquake
- Outrage / Dragon Claw
- Fire Blast
- Stone Edge

Earthquake and Outrage (or Dragon Claw if you prefer not getting locked, the drop in power is very considerable though) will be your main STABs, Fire Blast lets you get past Skarmory and Stone Edge rounds off your coverage with Earthquake, as well as letting you revenge kill Mega Charizard Y. If you're changing Scrafty to Garchomp, you might feel that using 2 Scarfers (I presume you're using Scarf Heatran now) is overkill, so you might as well change Heatran's set to your old set.

thundurus.gif

Thundurus @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd / 4 Def
Timid Nature
- Thunder Wave
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Nasty Plot / Focus Blast

Thunder Wave lets you cripple any setup sweeper, Thunderbolt is your stab move that will hit anything that doesn't resist it really hard, HP Ice rounds off Thunderbolt's coverage by hitting hard Ground and Dragon types like Garchomp, Landorus-I/T, Gliscor, and generally anything that is weak to ice that doesn't have much SDef bulk. The last choice is either Nasty Plot, boosting its SAtk to even higher levels or Focus Blast, letting you hit Tyranitar and Heatran a little harder than Thunderbolt.

Of the 2 choices, I'd strongly suggest Thundurus-I because it helps you deal with 2 threats that could easily have their way with your team (Mega Charizard X and Mega Gyarados). Garchomp is still very relevant though, so you could always give it a try.

With this I conclude my rate. I hope I was of any help!
Good luck with teambuilding and have a nice day!
