RMT - Shoddy Team

My third RMT here.

Basically my team consists of bulky sweepers and 2 walls, one of which is one of the most annoying walls ever.

Without further ado, here's the team:

Swampert (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 240 HP/216 Def/52 SAtk
Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Hydro Pump
- Earthquake
- Ice Beam
- Roar

Swampert lead, Tyranitar counter and utility phazer. Hydro Pump to stop Skarmory from setting up on me.

dpmfa472.png

Gliscor (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Hyper Cutter
EVs: 252 HP/4 Atk/252 Def
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Ice Fang
- Roost
- Swords Dance

Stole the idea of SD > support move from MS. Basically Shuckle already sets up Rocks, so I don't need to dedicate a moveslot to Stealth Rock.

dpmfa130.png

Gyarados (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP/96 Atk/80 Def/20 Spd/60 SDef
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Waterfall
- Dragon Dance
- Sleep Talk
- Rest

DDRestTalk Gyara. Sleep Absorber and helps a bit with Weavile and the like.

dpmfa248.png

Tyranitar (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP/42 Atk/216 SDef
Careful nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Pursuit
- Crunch
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake

CBtar with Jibaku's spread. A pseudo-special wall and Pursuits some stuff.

dpmfa213.png

Shuckle (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/6 SDef
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Encore
- Toxic
- Rest
- Stealth Rock

We all love Shuckle right? Basically near impossible to down with neutral attacks, Encore stops stuff from setupping on me.

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP/166 Def/92 Spd
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Substitute
- Calm Mind
- Psychic
- Thunderbolt

CMJirachi. MS was raping my stall team with this so I decided to try it out. Works extremely well as a set-upper.

Threat list:

Tyranitar - Swampert or Gliscor can wall it.
Gyarados - Basically I have problems with EQing Tauntridos, as I rely on Jirachi to down it.
Infernape - Shuckle or Gliscor if it runs full physical
Azelf - Tyranitar/Shuckle
Electivire - Shuckle/Swampert
Heracross - Gliscor and Gyarados handle it well.
Salamence - Shuckle to scout for the set, and depending on it I would either switch out to Ttar or Jirachi or stay in.
Togekiss - Ttar or Shuckle
Gengar - Switch to Gyara to absorb sleep, then to Shuckle or Jirachi
Garchomp - Not really a major problem but SDYache Chomp almost always takes down Gliscor/Swampert, the main pokemon I rely on for walling it.
Lucario - Gyarados to scout the set, for Special versions I rely on Gyarados whilst for physical versions Gliscor can handle it.
Starmie - Ttar is my main counter but is not really good at handling it due to SE Surf
Weavile - Swampert/Gyarados
Dugtrio - Basically the only things it would come on is Jirachi and Tyranitar, both for revenge kills. Both Jirachi and Ttar can handle it somewhat decently although Ttar might be locked into Stone Edge.
Porygon-Z - Shuckle/Ttar
Machamp - Gliscor/Pert
Snorlax - Gliscor/Pert/Gyara
Zapdos - Shuckle or Ttar
Suicune - Mostly just irritating. Shuckle still can't take hits too well.
Breloom - Gyarados to take the sleep and Gliscor for the rest
Metagross - Gliscor/Pert
Heatran - Tyranitar
Celebi - Ttar/Shuckle
MS - Jirachi, this gets haxed all the time so I wouldn't worry about it
Jirachi - Depending on the type, Gliscor takes physical versions while Ttar takes CM versions. Shuckle can Encore.
Dragonite - Gliscor
Mamoswine - Pert/Gyara
Gallade - Gliscor
Yanmega - Shuckle
Roserade - Leaf Storm and immunity to poison make it hard to deal with.
Scizor - Gliscor
Magnezone - Pert
Blissey - Pert/Gyara/Ttar
Vaporeon - Irritating. Shuckle/Ttar still take a lot from Surf.
Forretress - Jirachi/Gliscor
Gliscor - Gyara/Pert
Skarmory - Jirachi
Donphan - Shuckle/Gliscor
Milotic - Again, annoying to take down with Ttar and Shuckle.
Dusknoir - Jirachi/Shuckle
Bronzong - Gyara to take the sleep and stop it
Hippowdon - Pert/Shuckle/Gliscor
Cresselia - Shuckle/Ttar

The bolded pokemon are the ones I have trouble with.

Rate/Fix my team guys!

This is a nice team, similar to one of the teams I almost made. Let's look at the threat list.

Gyarados - I would put Hidden Power Electric on Swampert for additional coverage. Since you are running Hyper Cutter Gliscor, Stone-Edge could catch Gyarados that are eager to switch in to Gliscor, while still offering nice coverage. Since both counter dragons well, pick one to leave the Ice move on. Swampert may not need Earthquake as you have two other quakes on the team.

Garchomp - Yache Garchomp is everywhere. Sometimes, you have to accept that it WILL take down one pokemon. Unfortunately, your team is too slow. You lack anything to outspeed it and finish it off. Therefore, it can rip a massive hole in your team. Consider a Scarfer to keep you team intact.

Suicune - I think you have Suicune covered reasonably well. Shuckle can encore it's CMs and Jirachi can win a CM war with it.

Roserade - doesn't really look like too much of a problem. You should be able to predict the sleep powder, take the leafstorm, hit it, and bring in Tar to kill the sash.

Vaporeon / Milotic - noticing a water weak pattern. Finding away to add another T-bolt or Grass Knot on your team can be helpful. Otherwise, I don't kno how to help this...

Your team is solid defensively for the most part, it's offense that seems troublesome. That, and speed. Think of something creative to take down waters and scarf it.

Sounds like you're having problems with Bulky Waters!

Here's an idea - run Celebi over Jirachi. Recover/Leech Seed/HP Fire/Grass Knot. HP Fire still lets you deal with Skarmory (sort of "meh" though), and it deals with all the bulky waters that you have listed. If you want you can even run a calm mind set (heh...) to try to sweep with it.

If you do decide to run Celebi, I recommend you run Thunderbolt over a move on TTar (probably Stone Edge, since I'm assuming you want Pursuit, and Stone Edge) so you can still nail Skarmory pretty hard.

Jirachi has TB already. Celebi could replace Jirachi, but I think this team is very defensive without Jirachi.

If you actually read my post I only recommended that change IF he decides to run Celebi.

Also when you're totally walled by the ever present bulky waters and your only solution to it is a toxic Shuckle (who is 3HKOd easily and 2HKOd if Shuckle has a bit of residual damage which it will have against 269 spA Surfs and I'm not even going to count Jirachi since it lacks recovery and it'll switch in maybe twice at most) then you should be thinking about a water resist especially since Bulky waters are ever so present in his team. Celebi suits this, and even better because it deals with Gyara (and if your only switch in is your main sweeper you know you have issues)

I was just saying Jirachi already has TB. I wasn't assuming he'd change Celebi for Jirachi, that's just a reason not to.

you can give Thunder to Jirachi to make it faster to kill gyarados...
but also what tangerine said seems viable o.o!!

Good nite, Cya!
