Rock Arceus (Analysis, GP 2/2)

Okay, I've removed the support set entirely, unless you meant something else o_0 (I have backed up if you want it back up). I've made mention of removing Calm Mind for Roar or Stealth Rock in Other Options to compensate for that.

About the two Calm Mind sets, I really don't know what to do apart from having two sets. The offensive one plays completely differently as it focuses on Arceus's coverage and good Rock STAB to sweep rather than its bulk. It isn't really outclassed by anything either, since Rock Arceus is pretty much the only Pokemon in the game with a powerful, Special, Rock STAB. Unless you want to remove it entirely, I have no idea on how to merge the two sets.

The other suggestions have been implemented.

AF APPROVED 2/3

I'd like to say that after a stint with Sandstorm teams (mostly Rock All), I've realised the power of Mono Attacker and that it plays significantly differently from the Offensive set. I still dont like Sandstorm teams but I do like Rock Arceus. Also in my first post I wrongly phrased saying merge Mono Attacker with Support, I meant merge Support with Mono Attacker, a fine difference but a pretty big one. Also

Maybe I didn't mention this explicitly (and I probably should), but the set doesn't have to be used on a Sandstorm team

You seriously need to mention that for the reasons you posted.

Thanks for the checks trickroom and barry

Okay, I've added a few sentences on using Rock Arceus in sun teams while being a good check to ExtremeKiller. Can someone please quickly GP check the first paragraph of the Mono-attacker set just to make sure that I haven't screwed up?

[SET COMMENTS]

<p>Rock Arceus's huge bulk and great STAB allow it to run an effective mono-attacker set. This set is useful for a number of reasons. Firstly, with sandstorm support and its pure Rock typing, Arceus is a fantastic counter to many dangerous Pokemon. With its Rock-type Judgement, it can quickly put Ho-Oh and Reshiram in their place; with Will-O-Wisp, it can easily cripple Normal Arceus. It is an excellent to check to the Extreme<space>Killer while maintaining a STAB with decent coverage. Under sandstorm, it can also switch into some of the most powerful special attacks in the Uber tier. For example, Draco Meteor from Modest Choice Specs Dialga only does 53.60% - 63.51%, allowing Rock Arceus to heal off the damage and stall Dialga out. Secondly, with access to Calm Mind, Rock Arceus can switch from a defender defensive Pokemon into a deadly mono-sweeper in the blink of an eye, and any team that lacks an appropriate counter for it will quickly be crushed. This allows Arceus to easily control the tempo of the match, switching between offense and defense at will. While this set is at its best on sandstorm teams, its utility does not end there. It can offer sun teams an excellent check to Fire-types, who are even more dangerous in the sun.</p>

looks good. You might want to get another check for this if you feel the need for it.
