[OVERVIEW]
Rockruff has underwhelming offensive stats and a disappointing movepool. Rockruff is also extremely frail, which leaves it easily revenge killed by Choice Scarf users or priority moves such as Mach Punch and Aqua Jet. Other offensive Rock-types such as Cranidos, which is much more powerful with useful abilities and a better movepool, and even Tirtouga, which has access to better coverage moves and the ability to boost its stats with Shell Smash, greatly outclass Rockruff.

[SET]
name: All-out Attacker
move 1: Stone Edge
move 2: Stomping Tantrum
move 3: Zen Headbutt / Fire Fang
move 4: Sucker Punch
item: Life Orb
ability: Vital Spirit
nature: Jolly
evs: 236 Atk / 76 Def / 196 Spe
IVs: 9 HP

[SET COMMENTS]
This set attempts to act as a wallbreaker through the use of Rockruff's coverage moves. However, Rockruff is outclassed by other offensive Rock-types such as Cranidos and other more powerful attackers such as Bunnelby. There is essentially no reason to use Rockruff over any other option.

[OVERVIEW]
Rockruff has decent underwhelming offensive stats and a disappointing movepool. [MOVE LAST SENTENCE HERE] but it outclassed by other Other offensive Rock-types such as Tirtouga, who has access to better coverage moves, a secondary water-typing, and the ability to boost its stats with Shell Smash, or even Cranidos, who is much more powerful with useful abilities and a better movepool, greatly outclass Rockruff. Rockruff is also extremely frail which leaves it easily revenge killed by Choice Scarf users or priority moves such as Mach Punch and Aqua Jet. [MOVE to 2nd Sentence]

no eq is fairly big, and generally serves to make rockruff just bad. the last sentence just fits so much better after it is moved

[SET]
name: All-out Attacker
move 1: Stone Edge
move 2: Stomping Tantrum
move 3: Zen Headbutt / Fire Fang
move 4: Sucker Punch
item: Life Orb
ability: Steadfast
nature: Jolly
evs: 236 Atk / 76 Def / 196 Spe
IVs: 0 HP

timburr > ferro for importance here

[SET COMMENTS]
This set attempts to act as an late-game cleaner wallbreaker through the use of Rockruff's coverage moves. However, Rockruff is outclassed by other offensive rock Rock-types such as Tirtouga, and other more powerful attackers such as Bunnelby. There is essentially no reason to use Rockruff over any other option. and is easily revenge killed due to its frality and poor defensive typing.

You really didn't compare Rockruff to anything besides Tirtouga, which would be fine if they more directly competed. I think you ought to spend a little more time thinking about what you would use instead of the pokemon next time. Rockruff is more or less a bad Cranidos, and is generally a bad pokemon. Don't feel like you need to sugar coat these if the Pokemon is genuinely awful.

[OVERVIEW]
Mention Cranidos first and give Tirtouga the "and even" lead in - Cranidos is the better comparison.

[SET]
I'm gonna say go with Vital Spirit instead of Steadfast. If you could switch in on Fake Out and get the Speed boost then it'd be worthwhile, but as it stands being immune to sleep is more situationally useful than hoping the Mienfoo goes for Fake Out instead of HJK. Set HP IV to 9 instead of 0 (minor standards thing)

[SET COMMENTS]
Cranidos>Tirtouga.
