Have you realized how rotom is motor speeled backwards?

With the new spread and different move pools, would any of the ghost be an effective anti-spinner and maybe takeover dusknoir and spiritomb with it's high offensive capablities?

So what do you think is gonna happen with the 5 rotoms? Do they take the same path or completely opposite paths?

If you're going to post at least do some research...
The alternate forms get more defensive stats, no new types, and they can't mix-and-match moves (though you didn't mention this). This has been proven.
Sorry. (But I think the Fridge may be BL/OU anyway)

How about posing a different question, like would Rotom overtake Spiritomb in terms of effectiveness?

Rotom vs. Spiritomb:

Stats:

Rotom:
50/65/107/105/107/86

Spiritomb:
50/92/108/92/108/35

Minuscule defensive difference. Spititomb has 2 actual stat more Def/SDef. Big whoop. Spiritomb has much higher attack, lower initial SA, and crap speed vs. Rotom's mediocre number.

Weak/Resist:

Rotom:

Weak: Dark, Ghost
Resist: Steel, Flying, Electric, Poison, Bug
Immune: Normal, Fighting, Ground

Spiritomb:

Weak: None
Resist: Poison
Immune: Normal, Fighting, Psychic

Spiritomb has no weak. Rotom has a load of resistances.

Movepool notables:

Damage:

Possessed Fridge can Boltbeam. Fan can employ parahax, Wash does great in rain. Cut and Heat are marginal in comparison, but still there. Cut is easily the most awesome looking.

Spiritomb has priority in Sucker Punch and switch punishing in Pursuit.

Rotom's STABs are basically independent, Spiritomb's STABs are almost entirely redundant.

Support:

Spiritomb has Nasty Plot and Calm Mind, Rotom has no boosting moves.
Spiritomb has Sleep and Burn, Rotom has Paralysis and Burn.

It remains to be seen whether Spiritomb has Trick.

So basically, expect the physical sets and the Plot Set to be Spiritomb's most used tricks. Rotom just has a lot more it can switch into. Straight out special attacking favors Rotom.

Wow, good job DK! There are so many good things about the new Rotoms (especially for weather based teams) but I'm confused. Earlier it was reported that the moves were Leaf Blade and Air Slash, not Leaf Storm and Air Cutter. So which one's are they (Air Cutter just flat out sucks), but you can see how the move can be misconstrued with the Japanese/English translation?

Look at the screenshots at Serebii. Cut Rotom's Grass move has 5 PP, Fan Rotom's Flying move has 20PP. Short of a strange PP shift, the only two offensive moves that fit that PP level and type are Leaf Storm and Air Slash, respectively. I can't read Japanese, but I do know how much PP basically every move in pokemon has.

That's precisely what I was thinking, however there's been Air Cutter discussion (which would be gay) lol.

Well the new stat spreads are different too.
DP: 50/50/77/95/77/91= 440
Platinum: 50/65/107/105/107/86= 520

I'd certainly call an 80 point stat boost and the ability to Boltbeam/ThunderPump significant. Discharge/Air Slash can be bad, too.
