RU Threat List

Been running a dragon claw/toxic/heal bell/roost altaria, though cotton guard is definitly a better choise than DClaw. Only huge threats to altaria will be porygon-z and mixed sharpedo(which i can think off at the top of my head) There arent alot of common steel types apart from ferroseed(as i can think of atm, once again)

Anyway, Altaria is a great toxic staller and with access to heal bell its an amazing supporter and wall

hmm Murkrow probably makes a better toxic staller as it can also trap pokemon with mean look. but murkrow can't take as many hits on the special side.

[Set]
name: Trapper
move 1: Roost
move 2: Mean Look
move 3: Feather Dance
move 4: Toxic / Perish Song
item: Evolite
ability: Prankster
nature: Calm
evs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD

Although Altaria is more of wall that just takes hits while it stalls for toxic damage.

I tried Dragonbreath for the lulz, and it's pretty cool, 30 % chance to paralyze is nothing to joke about

That's ain't half bad, spreading Toxic and Paralyze. if only it had 1 other status move.

Fire Blast's burn chance is thirty percent, sadly you only get 8 chances at it.

Leppa berry lol set anyone?

It makes a lot more sense with 30% burn chance though, seeing as it is the 'premier' fire attack. Someone mentioned in another thread that most fire attacks only have 10% burn chance when Scald, a Water attack, has 30%... Where is the consistency GF???

use sub on the perish trapper you don't need status

What do you mean?

As far as i Know Subs don't block Perish Song, and murkrow is always faster so he'll mean look you before you set up the sub, unless you sub when murkrow switches in. I guess Sub would block those annoying feather dances if your a physical attacker.

Unless you mean it's better for murkrow to have substitute as a move, but I reckon Feather dance is better.

About Altaria, just accept that you're not going to break through steel types with him. Considering how scarce steel types are in RU its not that big a deal anyway and I'd run Magneton alongside him before I would waste a valuable movelslot on something like a weak shit earthquake or flamethrower.

PerishTrapping is VERY rarely viable. It works decently on Murkrow since he does it with priority, but in most other cases it's better to have Perish Song on a Pokemon simply to kill the last Pokemon on your opponent's team, not to try trapping to get a kill.

Perish Song also works if there's a wall/setup sweeper out on their side, and you want to prevent their setting-up (Technically, a phaze). And, it helps you by giving your Pokemon a free turn on their switch (provided you switch on the first or second turn of Perish Song, and they stay in until the end of it).

Also, although a few people's suggestions aren't that good, you don't need to be so harsh with them. Just saying.

I'll run my thread how I want to run my thread, thanks.
Actually, in the "RU tier discussion" thread, I remember you bashing someone for suggesting Torkoal (although, lol Torkoal), so it's not specifically on your thread. Also, your avatar fits you perfectly.

OMG dude, what are you? 10 year old?

Are there any moderation against trolling on this forums?

People just want to discuss and try different things on the game, this is RU, weird pokemon could possibly work in the right situations.

No need to express your trolling skills in every page of the thread.

I playtested with Dunsparce for a while. It was a little underwhelming overall, but it did provide a decentish annoyance factor. I haven't tried Arbok, but I have seen other people running it, but, I wasn't really impressed with what I saw

I tried using Arbok once and he was good for spreading Para or crippling something with Switcheroo (I used Choice Scarf) and it was alright. The biggest thing it brought really was Intimidate but it's just not powerful enough, or bulky enough, or fast enough to be great at any role. Kinda disappointed but Glare is useful. I thought about using Dunsparce, and then I laughed.

How about:

Arbok @ Leftovers
Adamant/Careful/Whatever
252 HP/252 SPD/6 Atk
Coil
Gunk Shot
Earthquake
Glare

You need to make sure if Eviolite Eelektrik or just Eelektross himself outclasses that set or not, since they're pretty bulky, have no weaknesses, can abuse Zap Cannon after at least two Coils, or can Dragon Tail for a physical attack that shuffles. And of course, Rest is a must. Not completely certain on EV's, but I'm guessing at least max HP along with a Sassy nature.

Looks a bit like this:
Eelektross/Eelektrik @ Leftovers/Eviolite, respectively
Sassy
Levitate
252HP/60Def/196SpDef (I don't have the Defense calculator, so I dunno much about Defensive EV's besides maxing out HP first)
Coil
Rest
Dragon Tail
Zap Cannon (you might want to add some SpA EV's for this, although really it's only for Paralyzing things then shuffling them out)
