Congrats to you! You will be listed in the Hall of Fame section at the beginning of the thread. You have made great submissions during this 10-week period and I look forward to seeing more. You certainly are helping newer players with your posts.

Alright folks. I'm going to give it about a week and a half before starting the next 10-week run so the meta can settle a little bit more. I will be back with more victims for you to target. So be patient!!!

Gratz Gorex and everyone here gave really good submissions, each and everyone of you didn't make it easy sometimes to decide for which pkmn I should go for! Was a really good experience and i'm looking forward to the 2nd Stage of RU VOTW! :]

Alright guys and we're back for the 2nd run of victims! I just want to say a something before we begin though. I will be cracking down on submissions. Meaning, if I deem your submission unviable or just flat-out bad, I will be rejecting it. This is what caused me to lose my PU Victim of the Week project and I will not lose this one. So, submit at your own risk. Anyway, on with the new victims.......

Week 11
The first victim to target in this run is.........

rotom-mow.gif

Rotom-Mow @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Leaf Storm
- Volt Switch
- Defog

Voting will begin Wednesday night

Drampa @ Chople Berry
Ability: Sap Sipper
EVs: 252 HP / 136 Def / 120 SpA
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Dragon Pulse
- Flamethrower
- Calm Mind
- Roost

standard CM drampa easily acts as a counter to Rotom-Mow, able to freely absorb Leaf Storm and take negligible damage from a boosted Volt Switch due to it's resistance and solid bulk investment.

*insert Vileplume image here*
Vileplume @ Black Sludge
Ability: Effect Spore
EVs: 248 HP / 164 Def / 96 Spe
Bold Nature
- Giga Drain
- Strength Sap
- Sludge Bomb
- Growth

Standard Defensive Vileplume is a great counter against Rotom-Mow as it soaks up Rotom-Mow's attacks even at +2 and can guarantee a 2HKO, or possible OHKO after Rocks damage/prior chip damage with Sludge Bomb. Furthermore, Vileplume can also set up get a free Growth off against Rotom-Mow and OHKO it while preparing to take on the next mon.

+2 252 SpA Rotom-Mow Thunderbolt vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Vileplume: 138-163 (38.9 - 46%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Black Sludge recovery
- showing that if Vileplume switches on a Rotom-Mow NP, Rotom-Mow still does no damage
0 SpA Vileplume Sludge Bomb vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Rotom-Mow: 200-236 (82.9 - 97.9%) -- 25% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
- showing that Sludge Bomb has a 1/4 chance to OHKO after Rocks
+1 0 SpA Vileplume Sludge Bomb vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Rotom-Mow: 296-350 (122.8 - 145.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO
- showing that Sludge Bomb at +1 big fucks Rotom-Mow.

Reserving Virizion (almost forgot about this whoops)

:ss/virizion: :life_orb:
Virizion @ Life Orb
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Leaf Blade
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
- Swords Dance

Nominating Virizion as a check. It resists everything Rotom-C has to throw at it, and can hit it hard with Leaf Storm, but it's prone to being worn down.

252 Atk Life Orb Virizion Close Combat vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Rotom-Mow: 187-222 (77.5 - 92.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

In return...

+2 252 SpA Rotom-Mow Leaf Storm vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Virizion: 147-173 (45.5 - 53.5%) -- 38.7% chance to 2HKO

This is the best Rotom-C can do back, but as I've said, Virizion is prone to being worn down since it's not a Synthesis set. It can't switch in repeatedly as a result.

reserving turtonator

Turtonator @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Shell Armor
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
-
Shell Smash
- Fire Blast
- Draco Meteor
- Dragon Pulse

Turtonator is a Check (or counter?) to NP Rotom-Mow. Turt can easily take hits from Rotom-Mow and use it as setup-fodder to sweep. Fire Blast nails Rotom-Mow and OHKO's without any boosts. Draco is a strong STAB if you want to nuke any bulky Pokemon, and D-Pulse is Dragon STAB but less power for not lowering stats.

252 SpA Turtonator Fire Blast vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Rotom-Mow: 266-314 (110.3 - 130.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Rotom-Mow Leaf Storm vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Turtonator: 52-61 (19.9 - 23.3%) -- possible 5HKO
252 SpA Rotom-Mow Volt Switch vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Turtonator: 56-66 (21.4 - 25.2%) -- 0.3% chance to 4HKO
+2 252 SpA Rotom-Mow Leaf Storm vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Turtonator: 104-123 (39.8 - 47.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
+2 252 SpA Rotom-Mow Volt Switch vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Turtonator: 112-132 (42.9 - 50.5%) -- 2.3% chance to 2HKO

Copperajah @ Assault Vest
Ability: Heavy Metal
EVs: 252 Atk / 92 SpD / 164 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Heavy Slam
- Heat Crash
- Power Whip
- Stone Edge

:copperajah: is a check to rotom-mow because it can always come in and threaten it with its heat crash for a clear OHKO and it can also threaten rotom-mows teammates when rotom-mow decides to volt switch out with its amazing coverage-options. an unboosted rotom-mow wont do much damage towards assault vest-copperajah and even when rotom-mow is boosted due to nasty plot to +2 copperajah can come in, take a leaf storm and threaten rotom with heat crash. In overall copperajah with the assault vest acts like a really good counter and with its amazing coverage-options it provides it can threaten a teammate of rotom-mow as well.

calcs:

252 SpA Rotom-Mow Leaf Storm vs. 0 HP / 92 SpD Assault Vest Copperajah: 73-87 (18.9 - 22.5%) -- guaranteed 5HKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Rotom-Mow Volt Switch vs. 0 HP / 92 SpD Assault Vest Copperajah: 79-94 (20.5 - 24.4%) -- 4.7% chance to 4HKO after Stealth Rock

+2 252 SpA Rotom-Mow Leaf Storm vs. 0 HP / 92 SpD Assault Vest Copperajah: 146-172 (37.9 - 44.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock
+2 252 SpA Rotom-Mow Volt Switch vs. 0 HP / 92 SpD Assault Vest Copperajah: 159-187 (41.2 - 48.5%) -- 12.5% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock

252+ Atk Copperajah Heavy Slam (120 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Rotom-Mow: 102-120 (42.3 - 49.7%) -- 28.9% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Copperajah Heat Crash (120 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Rotom-Mow: 272-320 (112.8 - 132.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Hasty Nature

Silv-drag resists both stabs and can set up and OHKO with M-Attack.

+2 252 SpA Rotom-Mow Leaf Storm vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Silvally-Dragon: 191-225 (57.7 - 67.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+2 252 Atk Silvally-Dragon Multi-Attack vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Rotom-Mow: 297-351 (123.2 - 145.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO

[SET]
Abomasnow @ Choice Specs
Ability: Snow Warning
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Blizzard
- Giga Drain
- Earth Power
- Leaf Storm

Checks ROTOM-C
This abomination resists both of Rotom's STABS.
It is able to come in on an unboosted leaf storm.
At this point, you may be murmuring under your breath - "Why have you not nominated it as a counter, dumbass?"
This is due to Abomasnow's inherent vulnerability to entry hazards.
With rocks up, abomasnow may fall to a +2 leaf storm as it comes in, meaning that if rotom NPs on the switch, the MU is quickly flipped on its head.
This is accentuated by the rise of Spikes users since xatu's departure; with rocks and a single spike up, big boye aboma straight up dies to a +2 leaf storm.
As such, it is not able to continually pivot in on rotom throughout the course of a game(which is rather disappointing for something that resists both STABs), hence the nomination as a check, rather than a counter.

+2 252 SpA Rotom-Mow Leaf Storm vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Abomasnow: 208-246 (64.7 - 76.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock and 1 layer of Spikes

+2 252 SpA Rotom-Mow Leaf Storm vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Abomasnow: 208-246 (64.7 - 76.6%) -- 12.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

252 SpA Choice Specs Abomasnow Blizzard vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Rotom-Mow: 402-474 (166.8 - 196.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252 SpA Rotom-Mow Leaf Storm vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Abomasnow: 105-123 (32.7 - 38.3%) -- 5.5% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock

Nominating SubTox Salazzle as a check.

Salazzle (F) @ Black Sludge
Ability: Corrosion
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Fire Blast
- Sludge Bomb
- Toxic
- Substitute

First of all, it switches into Leaf Storm quite handily.

252 SpA Rotom-Mow Leaf Storm vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Salazzle: 69-81 (20.2 - 23.8%) -- possible 6HKO after Black Sludge recovery

Volt Switch does have a chance to 3hko, although it switches out Rotom. Due to this, Salazzle is being nominated as a check rather than a counter.

252 SpA Rotom-Mow Volt Switch vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Salazzle: 150-177 (44.1 - 52%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Black Sludge recovery

Even with rocks, Salazzle does okay:

252 SpA Rotom-Mow Leaf Storm vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Salazzle: 69-81 (20.2 - 23.8%) -- 0.6% chance to 4HKO after Stealth Rock and Black Sludge recovery

252 SpA Rotom-Mow Volt Switch vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Salazzle: 150-177 (44.1 - 52%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Black Sludge recovery

Now, Rotom does have a 25% chance to OHKO with Volt Switch after rocks + 3 layers of spikes, but that's a rare set of circumstances in RU.

Offensively, Salazzle outspeeds, and both STAB moves are devastating:

4 SpA Salazzle Fire Blast vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Rotom-Mow: 246-290 (102 - 120.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO

4 SpA Salazzle Sludge Bomb vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Rotom-Mow: 204-240 (84.6 - 99.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

With rocks, Sludge Bomb does even better.

0 SpA Salazzle Sludge Bomb vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Rotom-Mow: 200-236 (82.9 - 97.9%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

If Rotom switches out, it gives Salazzle a free shot at either a Substitute or a Toxic, which with Corrosion is especially bad for whatever mon switches in. Mowtom doesn't even get a chance to use NP, due to the risk of being OHKOed by Fire Blast.

I'm back with Togedemaru
Togedemaru @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Zing Zap
- Iron Head
- U-turn
- Poison Jab

Togedemaru is a great check to Rotom-Mow. As it is immune to Volt Switch with Lighting Rod and it can take a Leaf Storm.

252 SpA Rotom-Mow Leaf Storm vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Togedemaru: 118-139 (43.5 - 51.2%) -- 8.2% chance to 2HKO

In return, Togedemaru can threaten it with a potential Poison Jab or pivot with U-Turn.

252 Atk Togedemaru Poison Jab vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Rotom-Mow: 136-160 (56.4 - 66.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

252 Atk Togedemaru U-turn vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Rotom-Mow: 120-142 (49.7 - 58.9%) -- 72.7% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Charizard @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 248 HP / 44 SpD / 216 Spe
Timid Nature
- Fire Blast
- Toxic
- Roost
- Defog

Check. Good ol' Zard doesn't want to come in on a Volt Switch since it'd be a waste of HP for it despite it being able to take 1. It can also risk coming in on a Leaf Storm since it 4x resists it:

252 SpA Rotom-Mow Leaf Storm vs. 248 HP / 44 SpD Charizard: 49-58 (13.6 - 16.1%) -- possible 7HKO
252 SpA Rotom-Mow Volt Switch vs. 248 HP / 44 SpD Charizard: 216-254 (60.1 - 70.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

In return, Zard essentially just OHKOs with Fire Blast:

0 SpA Charizard Fire Blast vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Rotom-Mow: 240-284 (99.5 - 117.8%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO
