SPOILERS! Scarlet & Violet Leaks Thread - Data/Mechanics

Eh, i'm not 100% sold for now. There's also the chance people will just run Ice Roller anyway since it's a relatively decent coverage for example.

However there is the fact that Pawmot surprisingly actually doesn't suck, so it wouldn't actually need the 2 centralizing pokes in first place.

That's true. I saw that Chien-Pao gets Icy Spinner and will probably favour using it as a primary ice STAB even without the terrain-removing effect, unless the flinch chance and 5 power buff is enough to make people tolerate losing 10% accuracy and that anti-terrain effect.

Here are some additional moves that I don't know the usage of: https://pastebin.com/VkW9XNZ2
This was a very shitty parse, so it's in the format:
Code:
<Personal Table Index> (<Monster No.>):
    <Move No.>
These may be the move tutors. If anyone figures it out, do message me on here so I can update my paste for them later.

Ok, so here's Chilly Reception. It's signature move of Slowking (both forms)?

This is a weird list. Has several moves for Zangoose, Sunny Day for all Scarlet Paradox Pokémon, and Electric Terrain for all Iron Paradox Pokémon.

Have we had any word on item descriptions yet? Still seen no hint of Koraidon and Miraidon's signature hold items, unless that's what Punching Glove and Covert Cloak are?

Also still awaiting final confirmation that the Legend Plate isn't functional in this game.

Covert Cloak was already actually presented and is available in regular shops, it basically is Shield Dust as held item

Plus it gets a sheer force boosted stab 110bp(?)
ground move to abuse in sandsear storm

At this point I assume there’s someone at gf who just really loves this mon
orrrr they just gave it exactly the same things they gave the other 3? :tymp:

Simply a case of "stronger gets even stronger", since when you give everyone the same tool, things that were good just become better.

and also LEVEL: 30
since the thread moves fast i'm just gonna tack this one as a separate post
Snorunt lists its evolutions like this

0:
Level: 42
Condition: LEVELUP
Parameters: [0, 0, 0, 0]
Species: Glalie
Form: 0
1:
Level: 0
Condition: ITEM_FEMALE
Parameters: [93, 0, 0, 0]
Species: Froslass
Form: 0

This applies to just about every split evolution. If its an item evolution of some sort (even with a trade) it'll display as "Level: 0"

Kirlia's doesn't do this

0:
Level: 30
Condition: LEVELUP
Parameters: [0, 0, 0, 0]
Species: Gardevoir
Form: 0
1:
Level: 30
Condition: ITEM_MALE
Parameters: [93, 0, 0, 0]
Species: Gallade
Form: 0

So either it only evolves with Dawn Stone at level 30 or slp made a mistake while putting the document together.

dont forget it can burnt you, as if nasty plot plus boosted earth power move wasn't enough to dent the entirety of the tier.

Well i dont think Landorus-I is a case of a good mon becoming better, its a broken mon that gets even more broken as time passes, at this point it cannot be fixed.

Sheer Force negates the burn chance, and there's no way anyone's using Lando without that ability, especially in a format where sand teams will be competing with Koraidon, Groudon and Kyogre.

This might just be a mistake Game Freak made, and it shouldn't affect anything anyway. I'll take a look tomorrow with the 1.0.1 data.

read better

I see the Item_Male. I also see the level stipulation. Snorunt doesn't have a level stipulation when evolving into Froslass, and the parameter ids and enum keys don't mean much without the referential databases that they're tied to. So as far as I can tell, it's saying that Kirlia now has a level requirement to evolve into Gallade, but it's also referring out to another table for something. That could be for the dawn stone, or it could be saying that only the males evolve this way, and it's referring out to indicate a sex based evolution.

Hence my confusion and my question.

Speaking of Koraidon, not giving it Dragon Dance seems like a very deliberate choice. Though it does get Flame Charge if you're into that sort of thing. Mostly I imagine it'll run dual STAB, Flare Blitz and your choice of Swords Dance or U-turn.

Miraidon's coverage options are limited to Power Gem, Dazzling Gleam, Overheat and Flash Cannon. That's not nothing, but it's not super amazing either; its STABs hit harder neutrally than any of those moves except for Overheat do 2x super effectively once Electric Terrain is factored in. Interestingly, it got Parabolic Charge, and might have a sparse enough movepool to seriously consider using it nvm Volt Switch
