No Wyrdeer, Sneasler, most of the Pokemon that have Hisui forms aren't here. Ursaluna is likely a one off so we wont even be able to evolve more of them most likely.
We're just not going to get access to them without Legends I guess. This is so stupid.
Incidentally by my count I believe 88 of the Pokemon being added are here. Can't account for any "bonus" Pokemon (Shaymin's probably here, for example)

Pure speculation, but part of me wants to believe the Blood Moon form is just an incredibly old Ursaluna. Like, was around for the Hisui-era and has just kept trucking along until the mud on it hardened and it gained funky sensory powers as its actual sensory systems got too old. Really cool design to be sure, can't wait to try out Punished Ursaluna.
Oh Christ, I hope not. I always found that implementation a terrible precedent.
It's probably an unbreedable one off instead, judging by the way the dex is laid out

One of the dex images spoke to me
Well, the datamined list of returning Pokemon made it clear they were coming back at some point, and the recent text change for the Illuminate ability made it all the more likely that Volbeat was coming back sooner rather than later. I wonder if they'll bring back Tail Glow just for it (and the potential transfer-only Manaphy)? They did for BDSP, so I'd say there's a decent chance.
The inclusion of Paldean lines in the Kitakami Dex is interesting, with Orthworm, Bombirdier, and Toedscool/Toedscruel. The last line in particular suggests that, unlike regional variants, convergent species can simply appear in other regions as normal. The Alolan forms that will appear in DLC Part 2 seemed to require the explanation of the Teranium and its ability to replicate the climate of other regions, but there is nothing to suggest something similar in Kitakami, which has classic Wooper and Quagsire in the wild.

Was surprised to see us getting Victreebel and Golem this early cause I thought those were for Indigo Disk but its nice either way.
I'm confused, is H-Basculin available, or does regular Basculin now evolve into Basculeigon?
White Basculin was already available, but there are also now wild ones in Kitakami.
So looking through this, I'm going to go down the list and name each and every one of these, and going off this, such list will effectively be the Kitakami Pokedex. In bold are mons already in SV, in italic are returning old Pokemon, and in underline are newly introduced Pokemon.

Interestingly, Ursaluna is in the dex but not Teddiursa or Ursaring. Given it is the center focus of Perrin's plotline, its placement on the dex right before the Loyal Three and the fact Ursaluna already had legendary stats; I wonder if this is them making a regular Pokémon into a legendary
Also wanna say, idt "its mud is as hard as iron" necessarily means Steel type - This has been used time and time again to say a Pokémon is bulky. Has happened with mons like Gigalith or Avalugg before. Plus, I really don't think "Blood Moon", nor its description, sound anything Steel-like

So, looking forwards a little bit, Khu if I recall correctly said that Indigo Disk would have 8 new mons. We know about Archaludon, the remaining Paradox Dogs and Musketeers and Tarapaogos, but who could the remaining two be?
Archaludon has a “counterpart” of sorts. Khu teased them both with the artwork of Black City (representing Archaludon) and White Forest (as-yet-unrevealed Pokémon). Some suspect it could be a further evolution of Dipplin.
I don’t think we know anything about the eighth Pokémon.
So how is it possible we got stuff like Pokédex pictures but no official typings?
Because whoever the source is only leaked image assets (Dex images, renders) and text assets (dex entries for the new guys, new moves, new abilities)
Stuff like stats, typings, power, etc weren't included. The Dex Images seemed delayed from everything else, so the other stuff might come too.
- Outside of the dex images everything else came from Home, I think.
- It's a lot easier to extract large files like images than tiny bits of the Pokemon data like type and base stats.
The dex images are also from Home; you can tell because they lack the borders over the image
When you view the Paldea Dex in Home, those are the images you see

Also Now it seems quite clear Ursaluna will be the bad guy for whose actions Ogrepon was blamed. What I would love is for one of Blueberry E4 to appear at the end and catch it to use against you in Indigo Disk:-D

BM Ursaluna being promoted to Legendary status would be... something. First case of apotheosis on Pokemon!
I doubt it, it has a specific dex entry for it, not regular Ursaluna but Bloodmoon Ursaluna specifically, so you can definitely catch it yourself.
We don't actually know this, people are just assuming since Teddiursa and Ursaring aren't in the Kitakami dex. But Ursaluna's not in the Paldea dex so that doesn't really prove anything.
