SPOILERS! Scarlet & Violet Leaks Thread - Data/Mechanics

Unfortunately, as of now, the case seems to be that after you beat all the storys, the only real "postgame" are the gym rematches ministory (which is fun the first time, not exactly interesting afterwards other than to gain some money / exp), and uuuh finishing the pokedex I suppose.

If you're not a VGC player, you'll not really have any reason to launch the game after finishing the pokedex aside maybe shiny breeding .

This kind of made me realize we haven't heard much officially about battle spot or how it works in this game. It was really streamlined and fun in swsh and I hope they kept it like that or improved it some even. Obviously this is probably not something we will know much about until release though I imagine, can anyone with the game weigh in on what the wi-fi stuff looks like right now? If you can even see any of it.

+1 252 Atk Silk Scarf Rattata Tackle vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Toxapex: 325-384 (106.9 - 126.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO
Rattata is stand in for Maushold and Tackle for 10 hit Technician-boosted Population bomb. +1 atk after a Tidy Up.
Mice together strong.

to allow any consistency for that mon you'd have to use loaded dice though. It's also unlikely that we will get many opportunities to use tidy up with it to boost tbh.

I am guessing the servers aren't online yet so even with the Day 1 (0) patch I don't think you could access any of it

The home preview only displayed the minisprites in the scarlet violet battle data

I strongly suspect that Home will otherwise continue to use the Renders

I mean, not discarding the renders, but adding a complete set for future proofing or whatever; HOME is after all the app that has a complete set of models and animations... Still, we shall see.

Well if it helps you any, it looks like that Quagsire is 1:1 match up with BDSP

So at the very least we'll probably have like 3/4ths of the dex in this style by the time DLC is done!

One more thing that makes Population Bomb ridiculous is that it has 10 opportunities to crit. Also King's Rock better stay banned lol.

I was under the impression based off it's description that it had the chance to hit between 1 to 10 times in a row, not necessarily a guaranteed 10 times in a row (basically a fury attack/swipes but instead of a 12.5% chance to hit 4 or 5 times, it's a 12.5% chance to hit 8 or 10 times).

If the above is the case (since multiple-hit moves hit at least twice), I'm wondering if population bomb hits at least 4 times each use. At that point, it might as well have skill link as a second ability. Otherwise, we're gonna need to rework those percentages for the other 5 times it hits.

lol @ Centro trawling this thread for content and posting my research uncredited twice and yet STILL "correcting" people in the replies of his posts saying that the internal ID order is the national dex order (it obviously isn't). Learn to read, keep up idiot, we figured this out pages ago.

Ugh, I went over the personal table data again and there are at least a few more moves some Pokemon get that aren't in the egg move, learnset, TM or reminder move lists. Here they are: https://pastebin.com/M1vbinTF
These could be tutor moves, or they could be special moves only obtainable through raids. Annoying.
oh my god how many secret move tables are there?? i'm really interested to see if we get another patch consolidating some of them. Especially since egg tables seem to keep showing up in here

That is true. Ice Rider Calyrex still learns Aromatherapy by level-up in the 1.0.1 moveset data, so it will definitely be patched again.

{messy levelup set rant}

I've been thinking this too, and the TM sets for any old move newly teachable (Metal Claw et al) are ALSO a damn mess. It's like BDSP Toxic where it was clearly just "find anything that gets it by level up or egg and give it" which is both useless as a TM and also excludes evolutions of things that get it by egg. MESS!
