Resource Scarlet/Violet VGC Team Dumps

:Indeedee-F: Today we are going to study a very complex Team which succeeded in making the TOP 1 in Ladder on Console, the equivalent of an Elo higher than 2000 !! :Armarouge:

:Dragonite: It will highlight a Pokémon that is not very present on the VGC scene but during its rare appearance it has always made an impression, especially at WCS 2019 !

:Flutter Mane: This team was created by a Chinese player named KAI:Iron Hands:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

:SV/Flutter Mane: The Team :SV/Umbreon:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

:SV/Flutter Mane: Flutter Mane :SV/Flutter Mane:

ハバタクカミ (Flutter Mane) @ Life Orb
Ability: Protosynthesis
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Shadow Ball
- Moonblast
- Dazzling Gleam
- Protect

:Flutter Mane: The classic set of :Flutter Mane: Max Special Attack and Max Speed with the :Life Orb:

:Flutter Mane: You can play it in Lead next to :Dragonite: but due to its lack of Bulk and :Focus Sash: it will be quickly knocked out so favor it at the end of the match to finish the Pokemon still alive. :Flutter Mane:

:SV/Indeedee-F: Indeedee-F :SV/Indeedee-F:

イエッサン (Indeedee-F) @ Safety Goggles
Ability: Psychic Surge
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 HP / 244 Def / 4 SpA / 4 SpD / 4 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Helping Hand
- Follow Me
- Psychic
- Protect

:Indeedee-F: - :Safety Goggles:

:Indeedee-F: The goggles allow him to protect himself from the Spores of :Amoonguss: + :Brute Bonnet:

:Indeedee-F: He does not have Trick Room but Helping Hand to best help his lifelong ally :Armarouge:

:SV/Armarouge: Armarouge :SV/Armarouge:

グレンアルマ (Armarouge) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Weak Armor
Level: 50
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Armor Cannon
- Expanding Force
- Dark Pulse
- Protect

:Armarouge: - Weak Armor - :Focus Sash: - Teracrystal Dark :Armarouge:

:Armarouge:In a Ladder match with the CTS ( Close Team Sheets ) your opponent will expect to see the classic DUO with Trick Room but Indeedee-F does not have Trick Room.:Armarouge:

:Armarouge:The idea is to Expanding Force + Helping Hand and sweeping the field. In addition with the very many physical Pokemon and thanks to its Weak Armor talent which will boost your speed by +2 and will thus be able to outspeed almost anyone on the ground who has not had a Speed Boost. :Armarouge:

:Armarouge:An incredible strategy in a perfect world can exist but only in CTS.:Armarouge:

:Indeedee-F: Turn 1 : Helping Hand + Expanding Force :Armarouge:

:Armarouge: Turn 2 : Opponent double target :Indeedee-F: because he is afraid of :Armarouge: Protect + :Indeedee-F: Trick Room but realizes you Helping Hand + Expanding Force again and Game Over Opp is KO ! Mouwahahaha :Armarouge:

Umbreon

ブラッキー (Umbreon) @ Mirror Herb
Ability: Inner Focus
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 244 HP / 236 Def / 4 SpA / 4 SpD / 20 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Skill Swap
- Snarl
- Foul Play
- Moonlight

One of the most complex sets we have had to study to date because it has Skill Swap + Mental Herb + Teracrystal Water

A very viable strategy is to use his enemy to turn his strength against him even explanation :

VS :Dondozo: | :Dondozo: eat :Tatsugiri: = Boost +2 everywhere

Mental Herb ( :Umbreon: ) = :Umbreon: +2 everywhere

:Umbreon: Skill Swap :Dondozo:= :Umbreon: Unaware

Teracrystal Water + Foul Play + Moonlight = Bye Bye Dondozo because at plus 2 in Defense and Special Defense this Pokémon is almost invincible.

Umbreon is also very useful for punishing physical Pokémon like :Palafin-Hero: + :Dragonite: + :Baxcalibur: which has all been present in the big major tournaments of recent weeks and thanks to its defensive teracrystal type Water + Foul Play for deal heavy damage to them while restoring yourself with Moonlight.

On the Special level it is designed to block :Indeedee-F: + :Armarouge: with Snarl while being unaffected by the threat of Physic Field and Expanding Force.

This Pokemon will be very useful against teams that won't be able to OHKO you or that will be in difficulty not to hurt you from the start, but be careful, like any overpowering technique, it necessarily involves risks...

Umbreon can be a real problem for you even if you don't have the right opportunity or the right thinking in your team preview and if you bring him back and he's not useful you're going to find yourself in a real bind knowing not what to do.

Umbreon VS Hyper Offense : :Great Tusk: + :Iron Hands: + :Flutter Mane: | Umbreon will not be able to come into the field safely because he will take immense damage from Close Combat / Drain Punch / Moonblast / Dazzling Gleam.

Umbreon will therefore be useful in match ups with more passive Pokemon or physical Pokemon which will not have a huge threat on :Umbreon: but the opponent has a fast team it is not advisable to bring it back to the field.

Umbreon will be your ultimate weapon which will unfortunately only have one shot to pulverize your opponent so think carefully before taking it with you.

:SV/Iron Hands: Iron Hands :SV/Iron Hands:

テツノカイナ (Iron Hands) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Quark Drive
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 44 HP / 244 Atk / 4 Def / 156 SpD / 60 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Fake Out
- Drain Punch
- Wild Charge
- Heavy Slam

:Iron Hands: - :Assault Vest:

:Iron Hands: A classic set except that it has Heavy Slam which will allow you to punish :Flutter Mane: as well as Fairy or Teracrystal Fairy type :Sylveon:

:Iron Hands: He has some Speed EVs to allow him to Outspeed other :Iron Hands: and :Kingambit:

:SV/Dragonite: Dragonite :SV/Dragonite:

カイリュー (Dragonite) @ Choice Band
Ability: Inner Focus
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 180 HP / 204 Atk / 4 Def / 4 SpD / 116 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Rock Slide
- Outrage
- Low Kick
- Extreme Speed

:Dragonite: - :Choice Band:

The classic :Choice Band: with Normal Teracrystal to maximize Extreme Speed damage.

Outrage will be able to pulverize all the Pokemon in teams that do not include Fairy-type Pokemon and in particular punish the :Dondozo: and it will be especially useful at the end of the match by taking full advantage of its STAB.

Rock Slide lets it punish Fire-type Pokemon

Low Kick to punish Steel Type or :Tyranitar:

Beware of the Psychic Terrain which will block your Extreme Speed so be careful !

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Differents Options Team :
  • Umbreon Lead ::Umbreon: + :Dragonite: / :Flutter Mane: / :Iron Hands:

  • Hyper Offense + Defense ::Flutter Mane: + :Dragonite: + :Umbreon:

  • Best Friend ::Indeedee-F: + :Armarouge:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Weakness Of The Team :

  • :Indeedee-F: + :Armarouge: - If you choose to use this DUO you will have to be careful with Wide Guard. Now that this team is public, your opponent will also be able to study it and take advantage of the knowledge of the absence of Trick Room or Weak Armor / :Focus Sash: Dark / Teracrystal Dark type Pokemon will also be a problem. The :Dragonite: and their Ice Spinner attack which can remove your Psychic Terrain and force you to hit only one Pokemon at a time.

  • :Flutter Mane: - Due to its lack of Bulk and the absence of :Focus Sash: it will be knocked out quickly so this Pokemon will be there to knock out quickly.

  • :Indeedee-F: + :Iron Hands: / :Dragonite: - Having :Indeedee-F: land the Psychic Terrain it will therefore block your Fake Out / Extreme Speed.

  • :Iron Hands: + :Dragonite: + :Umbreon: - It does not have Protect which can be problematic especially for :Umbreon: who will be at the mercy of Fighting + Fairy type attacks. :Iron Hands: :Great Tusk: :Flutter Mane: :Sylveon:

  • :Dragonite: - As it has the :Choice Band: it will be blocked by Pokemon Ghost / Teracrystal Ghost / Physic Terrain as well as with Outrage which will be blocked by Fairy / Teracrystal Fairy.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

:Iron Hands: In view of the difficulty in mastering this team, I only recommend it to 1800+ players even if nothing prevents you from trying it. :Umbreon:

Coming together is a beginning, keeping together is progress, working together is success - Henry Ford

:Flutter Mane: We are all inspired by the greatest to build a better world. An overpowered team. Able to overcome all the obstacles that our enemies will put in our way. So now let's imagine that the greatest get together and think together and build a monster capable of stopping all obstacles, wouldn't it be nice? Well today this monster is finally here to save us. :Talonflame:

:Tyranitar: Today to celebrate the arrival at this half of series 2 here is a very special Events team. Indeed if you read the little spitch just above you it was built by the greatest brains of the VGC of the known world bringing together different countries around the world to create an almost perfect team. :Gothitelle:

:Great Tusk: Ladies and Gentlemen, I have the immense pleasure of presenting to you ONE OF THE BEST TEAM VCG 2023 THAT CAN EXIST AT THIS DAY ! :Iron Bundle:

This team was created by Toler Webb - Justin Carris - Yotam - Kazuki Kanehira - Dan Fitzpatrick - WilliamTheShuai - ちょーかい ( Chookai )

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

:SV/Flutter Mane: The Team :SV/Great Tusk:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

:SV/Flutter Mane: Flutter Mane :SV/Flutter Mane:

ハバタクカミ (Flutter Mane) @ Booster Energy
Ability: Protosynthesis
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 180 HP / 252 Def / 12 SpA / 4 SpD / 60 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Substitute
- Shadow Ball
- Moonblast
- Dazzling Gleam

:Flutter Mane: The most defensive set ever you have ever see from :Flutter Mane:

:Flutter Mane: We will draw from the fact that :Flutter Mane: is (normally) a fragile Pokemon so it should be knocked out quickly by priority attacks like Jet Punch ( :Palafin: ) but in reality with its EVs in HP + Defense it can very well tank this attack. :Flutter Mane:

:Flutter Mane: He has the Energy Booster which will increase his Special attack because we have :Talonflame: and his Tailwind as well as :Iron Bundle: and his Icy Wind so no need to make him faster than his. :Flutter Mane:

:Flutter Mane: He will certainly be slower than the others :Flutter Mane: but with his EVs HP boost he should tank. :Flutter Mane:

:Flutter Mane: Substitute will allow you to place a free sub if your opponent tries to Stall Out your Tailwind you can trap it in this way. :Flutter Mane:

:SV/TalonFlame: Talonflame :SV/Talonflame:

ファイアロー (Talonflame) @ Wide Lens / Sharp Beak
Ability: Gale Wings
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Flying / Ghost
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Brave Bird
- Taunt
- Tailwind

:Talonflame: The great friend of :Great Tusk: who can bring him the Tailwind. :Talonflame:

:Talonflame: It has :Wide Lens: to better aim and not miss its Will-o-Wisp in order to punish Physical Pokemon and :Focus Sash:

:Talonflame: Taunt to prevent Trick Room setters as well as all manners of setting up or harming the team with trap attacks. :Talonflame:

:Talonflame: We will note the absence of a Fire type attack which can be problematic against Steel type Pokemon like :Scizor:

:Talonflame: There is a variant where you can play with :Sharp Beak: to increase the power of your attack Brave Bird + Teracrystal Flying. :Talonflame:

:Talonflame: He can also play with the Teracrystal Ghost so as not to fake out and place the Tailwind at 100%. :Talonflame:

:SV/Great Tusk: Great Tusk :SV/Great Tusk:

イダイナキバ (Great Tusk) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Protosynthesis
Level: 50
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Headlong Rush
- Earthquake
- Protect

:Great Tusk: It has superb basic statistics in attack (131) - Defense (131) - Speed (87) even if it will always be slower than some Pokemon Hyper Offense we have :Talonflame: and its Tailwind which will be there to compensate for its lack of speed. :Great Tusk:

:Great Tusk: Over time :Great Tusk: showed up with two different items. Here in this set he is playing with the :Focus Sash: which allows him to better prepare against certain threats without necessarily having the pressure that he will get OHKO. It can also be played with the :Life Orb: to certainly stay on the ground for less time but do enormous damage which will ensure that the opponent does not recover. :Great Tusk:

:Great Tusk: Its fairly classic move set makes it quite weak to Flying-type Pokemon, which is why we have :Iron Bundle: & :Tyranitar:

Tyranitar

バンギラス (Tyranitar) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Sand Stream
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Adamant Nature
- Tera Blast
- Rock Slide
- Crunch
- Low Kick

:Tyranitar: - :Assault Vest:

One of the best sets that can exist due to the very large number of Special Pokémon like :Flutter Mane: / :Iron Bundle: / :Armarouge: and so even if he uses super effective attacks his :Assault Vest: + Sand which gives us a boost in Special Defense will protect us and we won't take so much damage.

The Teracrystal Flying will allow you to remove your weakness to Ground type attacks such as Earthquake and especially to block the way to :Great Tusk: which would be too great a threat without this teracrystal.

A notable presence of Tyranitar in series 2 because almost completely absent from series 1, in particular due to the presence of :Meowscarada:

:SV/Iron Bundle: Iron Bundle :SV/Iron Bundle:

テツノツツミ (Iron Bundle) @ Covert Cloak
Ability: Quark Drive
Level: 50
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 76 HP / 4 Def / 4 SpA / 172 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Freeze-Dry
- Encore
- Icy Wind
- Protect

:Iron Bundle: Clover Cloak takes its meaning from the fact that it will prevent the fear of Fake Out as well as Salt Cure from :Garganacl: even if its presence is less present than in series 1 you know the expression: The devil is hides in the details. :Iron Bundle:

:Iron Bundle:This is a defensive set with a lot of investment in Special Defense and little investment in Special Attack and without Hydro Pump - The fear of miss will not be present for this team. :Iron Bundle:

:Iron Bundle:He is more utility with his Encore attack to block an enemy on a move he had not planned to make. :Iron Bundle:

:Iron Bundle:He will be a very good lead with :Flutter Mane: because you can decrease the speed of enemies and let :Flutter Mane: clean up the enemies. :Iron Bundle:

:BW/Gothitelle: Gothitelle :BW/Gothitelle:

ゴチルゼル (Gothitelle) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Shadow Tag
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Trick Room
- Fake Out
- Psychic
- Taunt

A fairly standard set with Trick Room / Fake Out / Psychic / Taunt

We will note the presence of the Teracrystal Normal very useful to remove our weakness to the Ghost type and also giving you a boost in Fake Out (Any damage is good to take) ^^

Gothitelle will have an absolute trapper role so that the rest of your team can strike without restraint and without your opponent being able to withdraw. With this strategy, Ghost-type Pokemon will only have to behave, especially with the presence of four Pokemon that will put immense pressure on them. :Talonflame: :Great Tusk: :Tyranitar: :Flutter Mane:

Trick Room will be your Plan B in case you have to face Team Ultra Speed. :Flutter Mane: and :Tyranitar: will be your best allies at this time.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Differents Options Team :

:Flutter Mane: There are several different lead combinations, but your best bet will be to hit hard and fast. :Talonflame:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Weakness Of The Team :

:Dondozo: / Close Team Sheet / Bo1 / Ladder :Tatsugiri:

The major concern is that we don't have the possibility to study what type of set will be :Dondozo: will it be :Leftovers: / Sleep Talk / Rest / What a teracrystal it will be ect ect... Even if to this day I have personally never seen it there is a world where :Dondozo: is playing with his Water Veil talent which will totally block your Will-o -Wisp of :Talonflame: immediately lead to your defeat. He's so strong that he's going to hit very hard and we don't have any safe switch or even enough power to eliminate him in 1 hit without him killing us behind. One strategy is to pray that he doesn't play Water Veil ( LOUL ) and burn him with :Talonflame: or trap him with :Gothitelle: so that :Iron Bundle: punishes him with Freeze-Dry and Freeze before he teracrystal Steel or trap him with Encore on a move he hadn't planned to do but above all stop him before Wave Crash which is devastating for the team...

:Indeedee-F: Hard Trick Room :Torkoal:

So yes :Flutter Mane: and :Iron Bundle: have more bulk than usual but they will be knocked out quickly regardless. A solution lies with the presence of :Tyranitar: and :Gohtitelle: who can block the Trick Room at the start of the match but if your opponent counters you and keeps his Trick Room for the end of the match and you will think that he will do it from the start in Lead with :Tyranitar: + :Gothitelle: your opponent is preparing for it and you get your two responses to his Trick Room massacred from the start and it's over...

:Garchomp: I Can Have :Assault Vest: Too :Garchomp:

Let's take the example of something that happens to you, you will come across :Garchomp: :Assault Vest:

:Garchomp: + :Murkrow: VS :Talonflame: - Both pose the Tailwind and :Garchomp: punished :Talonflame: with :Rock Slide = KO and no time for Will-o-Wisp leaving him full power | :Iron Bundle: arrives in the field for the revenge kill with Freeze-dry but even with Dazzling Gleam / Shadow Ball it will not necessarily be enough to eliminate it and therefore be careful against Pokémon with :Assault Vest:

:Armarouge: Wide Guard :Armarouge:

This attack can stop your many double attacks that you have in the team and here is the list: Dazzling Gleam / Earthquake / Icy Wind / Rock Slide.

:Kingambit: Steel Type :Scizor:

Generally Steel-type Pokémon will be a problem as :Talonflame: does not have Flare Blitz so your best answer will be :Great Tusk:

:Tauros-Paldea-Water: This team was created by a Japanese player named スライム :Iron Treads:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Team :DP/Grumpig:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

:SV/Flutter Mane: Flutter Mane :SV/Flutter Mane:

ハバタクカミ (Flutter Mane) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Protosynthesis
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Shadow Ball
- Energy Ball
- Dazzling Gleam
- Protect

:Flutter Mane: A fairly standard set except for the presence of Energy Ball which coupled with the Teracrystal Grass can increase the damage by 1.5 but the essential presence of the Tera Grass is to protect against Spores from :Amoonguss: & :Brute Bonnet:

:Flutter Mane: He will be the team cleaner either at the start of the match to put a lot of pressure and take advantage of the :Focus Sash: while damaging everything that moves or at the end of the match once Endeveor users or the rest of the team will have hurt everyone: Flutter Mane: arrives and being the fastest Pokémon on the ground it will end the game. :Flutter Mane:

:SV/Scream Tail: Scream Tail :SV/Scream Tail:

サケブシッポ (Scream Tail) @ Leftovers
Ability: Protosynthesis
Level: 50
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 12 HP / 4 Def / 236 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Encore
- Flamethrower
- Dazzling Gleam
- Protect

:Scream Tail: Scream Tail took his place on the defensive level, notably by accompanying Perish Song teams and as a move blocker with Encore, but here he is playing on the offensive level. :Scream Tail:

:Scream Tail: It's almost Max Special Attack (236) + Max Speed (252). Admittedly, he only has 65 basic power in special attack but with his Encore + :Leftovers: he will be excellent in the end game to block the last enemies on a move that is not necessarily very effective on one of you two or reduce slowly but surely the opponent's damage with Flamethrower + 10% burn that can punish Steel and Dazzling Gleam STAB type Pokemon ( 80 x 1.5 = 120 ) :Scream Tail:

Grumpig

ブーピッグ (Grumpig) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Thick Fat
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 HP / 76 Def / 156 SpA / 4 SpD / 20 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Snarl
- Psyshock
- Power Gem
- Icy Wind

Grumpig is one of the very rare Pokémon that can be found in VGC. You know that every year we hope to see players in big tournaments who will renew the experience like in 2014 with Pachirisu :Pachirisu: and this may be an opportunity to meet some and in the end here is how Grumpig can revolutionize the format.

Grumpig has a very useful talent Thick Fat which allows him to halve the damage received if the attack is Fire or Ice type and in view of the very large number of Pokémon has fire moves + :Assault Vest: + Teracrystal Dark + Snarl is the absolute counter to :Indeedee-F: + :Armarouge:

Even if he does not have the best special attack base (90) he is anyway not intended to make OHKOs but to damage the opponent here and there with his various attacks.

Psyshock can damage :Flutter Mane: + :Iron Hands:

Power Gem will be able to punish the :Iron Bundle:

Icy Wind for Speed Control and letting comrades outrun the enemy.

:SV/Iron Treads: Iron Treads :SV/Iron Treads:

テツノワダチ (Iron Treads) @ Booster Energy
Ability: Quark Drive
Level: 50
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 68 Atk / 4 Def / 4 SpD / 180 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Endeavor
- Iron Head
- Stomping Tantrum
- Protect

:Iron Treads: A rather special set of this Pokémon because it has the Energy Booster which, given the EVs it has, will give it a boost in Speed and the Teracrystal Water will allow it to cancel its weakness to Fire-type attacks. :Iron Treads:

:Iron Treads: Iron Head + Stromping Tantrum will be his STAB attacks. :Iron Treads:

:Iron Treads: Endeavor will allow you to reduce the opponent's HP to the same as yours and the advantage of this attack is that your allies will be able to send it to the grave more easily. :Iron Treads:

:Iron Treads: Even if he does not have a huge investment in attack EVs he can still cause a lot of damage and force :Flutter Mane: :Choice Specs: to focus on you or to Teracrystal in a Defensive way and so you can take advantage of this advantage. :Iron Treads:

Braviary

ウォーグル (Braviary) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Defiant
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 HP / 52 Atk / 4 Def / 52 SpD / 148 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat
- Brave Bird
- Facade
- Tailwind

A very underestimated Pokémon despite its incredible power and usefulness...

He's a tailwind setter and he can deal heavy physical damage while also benefiting from a superb Defiant talent that allows him to boost his attack to +2 on negative stat drops and in the sight of large numbers. stat droppers like :Arcanine: Intimidate / :Iron Bundle: Icy Wind for example.

Facade is present in the team in view of the large number of Will-o-Wisp users present in the format and also to take advantage of the STAB Normal which will give him a boost of 1.5 increasing his attack power by 70 -- > 105

Braviary's mission will be to come to the field to place the Tailwind and take the opportunity for a stat increase if there is a dropper present.

:SV/Tauros-Paldea-Aqua:Tauros-Paldea-Aqua :SV/Tauros-Paldea-Aqua:

パルデアのケンタロス - 湖の悪魔 (Tauros-Paldea-Aqua) @ Mirror Herb
Ability: Intimidate

:Tauros-Paldea-Aqua: Another user of Effort to implement the Low HP strategy. It is Max Attack / Max Speed. :Tauros-Paldea-Aqua:

:Tauros-Paldea-Aqua:This Pokémon will be the worst enemy of :Great Tusk: because in addition to putting a mad pressure on it with its Water-type attack, it can also place a little intimidation on it to reduce its attack to -1. :Tauros-Paldea-Aqua:

:Tauros-Paldea-Aqua:Mirror Herb is a set that appeared in Series 1 (Regulation A) during the San Diego tournament that aims to copy all positive stat boosts from the enemy so a Dondozo who thought he was coming safely will have all of his stat boost. Another strategy is to boost the attack of Pokémon possessing Defiant like :Kingambit: & :Annihilape: and thus copy their boost to +1. :Tauros-Paldea-Aqua:

Differents Options Team :

:Grumpig: The greatest strength of this team is the unpredictability due to the very rare presence of the 5 Pokémon that compose it except :Flutter Mane: so you could take advantage of it to surprise your opponent. Your opponent will also be able to read this guide and learn about the specifics of the team so be prepared for any eventuality. :Braviary:

:Braviary: There isn't really a predefined Lead for this Team except that you will Lead 99% of the time with :Braviary: to place the Tailwind and it will pair perfectly with any member of the team. :Braviary:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Weakness Of The Team :

  • This team draws a large part of its strength and also its weakness from the unpopularity of the Pokémon it has, so you will have a huge advantage in Close Team Sheet / Bo1 / Ladder But if your opponent ever has access to your team, for example in OTS or Bo3 this team is absolutely not suitable and I therefore invite you to look for another team present in the guides on the resource area.

  • Another difficulty of this team is that it does not have a driver (predefined strategy) so you will find yourself hitting the ground hitting here and there when the opportunities present themselves. Don't be disappointed or surprised if getting to grips with this team is difficult at the start of the match because it requires a little time to understand and adapt. :Grumpig: :Iron Treads:

  • The team has physical and defensive power but it does not have real power capable of OHKO so you risk taking damage (which is nevertheless the goal with Endeveor Pokémon) without actually doing any damage. huge on the opposing side. The saying: "Unity is strength" takes on its full meaning here with this team ^.^ :Braviary: :Tauros-Paldea-Aqua:

Basically, the main point of this team is to easily defeat the most popular pokemon, Flutter Mane and Urshifu Rapid Strike. Regieleki and Tornadus offer speed control, Gastrodon stops Urshifu and Heatran, Scizor eats Flutter Mane for breakfast, and Landorous and Urshifu are my primary attackers. Tornadus runs the unorthodox move Chilling Water, which helps against strong physical attackers as well as powers up Gastrodon in a pinch, a strat I did use to win a game. Gastrodon is trained to live max atk choice band Urshifu Close Combat, as well as max sp atk choice specs Chi-Yu dark pulse. I don't remember what I trained Landourus for and the rest are just suggested sets, aside from Urshifu which is specifically trained to be bulky with no calcs in mind. I didn't care for speed on Urshifu because Eleki and Tornadus offer such good speed control anyways.

I have a habit of forgetting what EV spreads do, so here's what I do remember:
- Scream Tail survives a Shadow Ball from Timid Specs Flutter Mane (even max) and outruns base 100s, with the remaining EVs dumped in Defense
- Flutter Mane outruns Adamant Lando-T in Tailwind with an additional point of speed creep
...and that's all I remember :) I would have used a bulkier Urshifu spread, but I didn't see one I liked in time for the event. Heatran's EVs are essentially random and you should not use them. (Consider more bulk for the Indeedee Armarouge matchup.)

The team was built around clicking Howl next to Urshifu, because Urshifu is a completely broken Pokemon and should be removed from the series entirely; Chien-Pao provides another damage amp and is also just a solid Pokemon. The rest of the team is basically just goodstuff. Scream Tail is good at being an annoying blob, but it tends to eat a lot of momentum and feels like a liability in most games against Tornadus teams. Against said Torn teams, I tried to prioritize killing the Tornadus as soon as possible - without a ton of speed control, the team can struggle to get ahead if Tailwind goes up a second time. Substitute on Heatran felt like dead weight a lot of the time, and in hindsight I think a third attack would have been better, but Leftovers + Grassy Terrain was huge in a few games - I remember Heatran simply refusing to die multiple times. Icy Wind Flutter Mane was great, and while I did miss Dazzling Gleam a few times, I think this was the better set for this team (though maybe it should have been Tera Grass for Urshifu).

I don't have a ton of other team observations for now; while I can certainly think of a few other things to improve or matchups to cover, I think my abysmal day 2 performance was on me more than the team. I do think the team would be better with Tornadus over Scream Tail, but Scream Tail is way funnier. The thing took seven knockouts across both days of the tournament. I love this pink idiot.

I had a ton of fun so I think I'll try going to another regional or two this season; stay tuned to see how I throw in the builder next time
