Explanation

The hunt's concept is image steganography, and the answers have been hidden in various ways.
1) KAKUNA has been hidden in the Red, Green and Blue sections of the image in slightly adjusted colors (in particular, the two colors that are not the primary color of that section have been adjusted down. They can be revealed through making adjustments to the image, i.e. contrast or paint bucket.
2) The silhouette of a Bronzong is slightly lighter than the darkest part of the image. Looking through a Luxray's Eyes and adding more light makes it easier to see.
3) It is very zoomed in crop of Walking Wake's mane, but its easier to check the EXIF data.
4) Decode the image using https://futureboy.us/stegano/decinput.html. The password is hinted by the image and title: The image is Klefki's model from Pokémon Rumble World. Use the PAL region password for Klefki to get a /nds which gives Iron Thorns.
5) Reveal the second image using https://incoherency.co.uk/image-steganography/

Notes:

- This entire hunt was inspired by the 5th question of the Voice Odyssey, which is why q3 mentions Rotom-Cut.
- For q3, "Rotom-U" is not an abbreviation. Instead, "Rotomu" is the romanized Japanese name of Rotom in Showdown's database.
- For q4 and q5, Rotom-N is no longer used by Smogon in any official capacity, and thus I do not have any valid confirmation for what Rotom-N stands for. Otherwise, I would have asked for that in q5, too.
- Still, I'm 99.9% sure that "Rotom-N" stands for "Rotom-Normal", even though I've seen like two people refer to it as "Rotom-Naked".

Hunt

1) In this anime episode, Team Rocket steals some fruit from a group of Shroomish. They later blast off while declaring that the fruit wasn't even good to eat (use the English name of the episode). [A Shroomish Skirmish]
2) In an anime episode, Dawn's kindergarten teacher tells the class a story after Dawn had been attacked by these two Pokémon (Pokédex order). [Plusle, Minun]
3) It happened that a Pokémon Trainer was planting some Apricorns in a Route where a Swellow and some other Flying-type Pokémon were jumping around and eating. “Beware of that man,” said the Swellow. “Why, what is he doing?” said the others. “Those are Apricorn seeds he is planting; be careful to pick up every one of them or else you will regret it.” The other Pokémon paid no mind to the Swellow's words, and by and by the Apricorn trees grew up, and they were made into Fast Balls, and many a Pokémon that had despised the Swellow's advice was caught in those very Fast Balls. “What did I tell you?” said the Swellow. Answer with the mainline game location where the story takes place. [Johto Route 38 / Route 38]
4) A Vulpix and a Mankey were traveling together on the same region. Q5 explanation

Each of the first 5 questions referenced a different fable from Aesop. There's a Psychic in Relic Castle called Perry, which, together with the fable theme, leads to the Perry Index. Checking every fable in this index would give the Pokédex numbers of the 4 Pokémon asked. To hint at this, the name of the Official was "DrThop's Fabulous Fish", and the first 5 words of question 5 spelled out AESOP when taking their initials. The specific fable for the first two questions is in the bulbapedia page for the respective anime episode, and the other two could be found pretty easily by googling parts of the tales.

1) At the end of the hunt, please check /viewhunt to see the start and end points for the Ports and Wikirace. I recently played Pokémon HeartGold and wanted to trade a few of a specific item to an NPC in Johto to get some Berries, only to realize I had none of the item left to trade. After discovering this, I went to a location where I could infinitely farm the item. According to all sources I found, of all the items obtainable here through the method I chose, the one I needed was supposedly the most likely to appear. However, even after hours of trying, I couldn’t find a single one of the item. Later, I discovered this was because of my party and that, without making any changes to my team (which consisted of only one Pokémon), the item wasn’t actually the most likely—it was instead unobtainable, but only at the exact location I had chosen. Considering that I never use Normal-type Pokémon when playing gen 4 games, which Pokémon is currently in my party, where did I attempt to farm the item, and which Berries did I want to acquire in the first place? 2) After that little mishap I went to a different location and smashed a few more rocks there for fun, which actually led to me finding one last item before I saved the game and went to bed. The next day I played a different mainline Pokémon game, and to my surprise, even though I was playing a completely different game, I had saved at the exact same location. What a coincidence! I remembered that I wanted to teach one of my Pokémon Reflect via TM, so I did that first and then decided to let it travel with me outside of its Pokéball. After I walked just a few steps (though not leaving this location,) almost as if it wanted to thank me, my Pokémon, which is one of the version-exclusives of this game, had apparently found an item. It was the same item I found from breaking a rock in Pokémon HeartGold at this location the day before. Where am I, and which item did my Pokémon find? [Location, Item]

3) Unfortunately, I forgot to charge my Switch, so soon I had to look for a different Pokémon game to play. I looked through my stash of DS games and decided to check an old Pokémon Platinum cartridge I recently bought second-hand. The save file showed that all 8 Badges were obtained and the Pokédex was decently filled, though not complete. The previous owner saved on Route 207, so I took a look around. All the trainers on the route were defeated but none of the items were collected, so I tried picking them all up. I found that a single one of the hidden items on this route was picked up already. Coincidentally it’s my favourite item, so I happened to know a little fun fact about it: There is another item of this kind somewhere in Sinnoh that permanently vanishes once you pick the one on Route 207 up and vice versa, which is most likely the result of an oversight by some programmer (or maybe quantum entanglement). This might also be the reason many sites don’t list the item as a hidden item on Route 207… So maybe the previous player didn’t actually pick up the item on Route 207, but rather in the other location. Which item is this about and what is the other location I’m referring to? [Item, Location]

4) Talking about my favourites: Let’s play some Pokémon Emerald next! I encounter a wild Pokémon and my lead Pokémon gets hit by a super-effective move. My Pokémon is pretty overleveled though, so I easily survive the attack and, in the same turn, manage to steal the opposing Pokémon’s item before knocking it out on the following turn. While traversing this location, I come across an obstacle. Standing before it I press A to use a field move with my newly evolved Pokémon and clear the way. Upon leaving the location and returning a few minutes later I realize: The effects of the field move I used here seem to be permanent, as the obstacle has not respawned. Yoshman8 was the only one that managed to do the hunt without hitting a single mine! Unfortunately their teammate hit a mine, meaning no team managed to solve the hunt mineless and, by extension, there were no perfect scores either.

The first 4 finishers all solved the hunt >5 minutes faster than the team after them, claiming the maximum of 5 points per team from the Time is Money Twist.

smii, bubidajeffery, Cryonic✠Squire and cubobone all solved the hunt without the help of a teammate, a feat rewarded with 5 bonus points each.

Legends foretold their arrival, but I knew not their heroes true identity. Yet I hear that they returned after thousands of years? Pray tell young hero - who were these heroes I revere? 2) O hero, your assistance is boundless. Yet, there are more heroes I seek to locate. You hear me mention Professor Laventon, for that is not without grounds. There exists another hero, in the place where Laventon created the first Pokedex, but not the same time. Forsooth, there exist few physical records of them...as the last was destroyed by another Pokemon. Pray tell, do you know who this other Pokemon could have been? Alas, I cannot go there - but I recall hearing the others of you - those of you who are not in that location are in the care of a young girl.
