I have not read through this entire thread yet,but I am surprised that no one actually mentioned some of the more obscure Scizor sets thats now slightly more viable because of the Mega. One of which is the Agility set.
Scizor@Scizorite
Nature:Adamant/Jolly
Evs:252 Attack / 4 Defense / 252 Speed
-Agility
-Bullet Punch/Iron Head (Reliability of priority vs Chance to flinch + More power)
-Superpower(Post-bank)/Brick Break(Pre-bank)
-Bug Bite/Night Slash/Knock Off/U-turn
With 75 Base speed,it outspeeds wayy more things than normal Scizor after an agility. For example, with Jolly,it can now outspeed up to Scarf Starmies while normal Scizor couldn't even outspeed Scarf base 108s.150 Base Attack certainly helps, and if you choose to be Adamant, feel free to drop some speed Evs into bulk because you are not going to outspeed anything significant with those extra Evs.
With 140 base Defense, the Defense of Forretress an the same typing as Forretress, and reliable recovery,Im surprised no one is running a defensive set with defog so here's one.
Scizor@Scizorite/Leftovers
Nature:Impish
Evs:252 HP / 252 Defense / 4 Attack
-Defog
-Toxic/Knock Off/Whatever Rock move Scizor gets/Brick Break
-Bullet Punch/Brick Break
-Roost
Even though this is recommended with a Scizorite, wasting a mega slot for it may not be worth it.This may look like this set won't do anything other than sit there and defog,a closer look reveals that this set walls some of the most premier physical attackers in the tier, such as Aegislash,Terrakion,Gyarados(with Toxic or a Rock move),Mega Kangaskhan(with Brick Break),Mega Mawile,Tyranitar(you can outspeed and Brick break with mega but watch out for that Fire Blast!),Ferrothorn, and even hit or cripple common Scizor switchins with the right move. For example, with Toxic, you can cripple incoming Gourgeist,Jellicent,Hippowdon,Donphan, and other walls and common switch-ins to Scizor.Speaking of common switch ins, that majestic fiery bird will absolutely hate Toxic due to all the residual damage it already has to take, and any rock move will KO.Heatran gets dented by Brick Break on the switchin, and most other Fire-Types like Volcarona will also hate Toxic.Any dragon without a Fire Type move (Hi,Garchomp) is walled.Even Chomp is walled (barely).
252 Atk Garchomp Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Mega Scizor: 93-111 (27 - 32.2%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
When he sees that doesn't do enough,he will boost up to +4,and you should have toxiced him the first turn he is in.Start spamming roost like crazy and occasionally Bullet Punch.
+4 252 Atk Garchomp Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Mega Scizor: 279-328 (81.1 - 95.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
At this point, the toxic damage and (hopefully) entry hazard damage should have racked up to the point where a Bullet Punch will kill him.
As a conclusion, people should start being creative with this pokemon like people have been with the Greninja thread.Im sorry if these sets have been posted in any of the previous pages of the thread, but I don't have time to check all posts.
