Shiny Charm and Masuda Method

Damned be this shiny drought. I finished my shuppet batch (600 - 4500 eggs) and moved back to Torchic (300 - 4800 eggs) and no even a single shiny.

Total: 4800 eggs
Shinies: 6

I'm going to add a different information, the number of eggs per Pokémon I've hatched to get a shiny.

Charmander: 2100/0
Froakie: 150/1
Fennekin: 300/1
Eevee: 300/1
Goomy: 150/1
Treecko: 150/1
Honedge: 150/1
Torchic: 900/0
Shuppet: 600/0

Update: 600 more eggs, 1 Shiny Snorlax. Too bad i realized to late that he'll be useless without Stockpile so... YAY!

PD: Any chance of any of you guys having a 5-6 IV Munchlax with a Careful/Sassy nature? :(

P.S - is there some way of the game preventing you from getting more shinies? I have encountered two random shinies since hatching these eggs. Just thinking that that might have something to do with my dry spell.

I just achieved the shiny charm yesterday and have already started breeding.

I am currently breeding and ENG Ditto x JPN Sceptile.

I am going to pledge 1000 eggs, but switch species after every 250 eggs.

I am currently on 140 Treeckos without shiny success.

Wish me luck :)

Thought I'd join in the fun! I do not battle competitively, so I DO *NOT* IV breed.
That being said, this doesn't mean my Shiny hatches can't be disappointments anyway LOL!
Female Shiny Dedenne, yes but CHEEK POUCH I wanted Pickup...Grrrr...
MALE Shiny Pachirisu with Run Away--Also wanted Pickup... Boo...
Here we go, let's start by pledging 500 eggs (I'm there or over, Seviper in-progress...)

MM WITH Shiny Charm, results as follows, BOTH parents are the same species unless otherwise noted. Same-species parents also SEEMS to allow for a higher Shiny rate, but again, data, data, data LOL!

Dedenne: JP ♀, ENG ♂: 380 Eggs/1 Shiny
Pachirisu: JP ♂, ENG ♀: 180 Eggs/1 Shiny
Seviper: JP ♀ Seviper, Local (American) ♂ Zangoose: In-progress...No shiny yet BUT that completes the 500-egg run, still going so let's pledge 700 in total.

gonna have to say I hatched about 500 eggs without a shiny Pidgy switch the male parent to a Noctowl (with 5ivs) and I got a shiny within 20 eggs so I think its just random same-species I don't think matters (might be worth looking into though after we hit 200,000 eggs)

7. Seventh batch: ENG Starly + JAP Ditto (Total: 90 Eggs; 0 Shinys).

8. Eighth batch: ENG Elekid + JAP Ditto (Total: 60 Eggs; 1 Shiny).
- Hatched a Jolly Static Shiny Elekid (19/31/31/x/31/31) at Egg #2002.

Updated post #1230, I just hatched a Jolly Static Shiny Elekid (19/31/31/x/31/31) at Egg #2002; this one's the shiny that took me less eggs ^_^; so far only one of my shinys has been perfect, but all of them had the IVs I mostly needed, so I'm very happy anyway :D.
So right now my results are:

Total Eggs: 2060
Shiny Count: 5

another 200 eggs down still no shiny eevee damn this shiny is annoying

new total 1500 eggs still only 2 shiny pokemon.

new pledge 500 eggs this will be a mixed batch since I cant see myself doing another 500 eevee eggs straight

By the way guys, I just found a place where they have most X and Y shiny sprites: Here it is. The problem is with some Flying mons', like Talonflame, which aren't displayed on the signature because the sprite is longer. But you can somewhat see a wing in the bottom of my signatrue xD.

I had the same problem with my Charizard sprite but I had to delete some text above the sprites for it to fit. Is the
IMG tag underneath the other sprites or is it just to the right of them?

Updated post #1230. Well I have to say today has been my lucky day, I just hatched a Jolly Keen Eye Starly (31/31/31/31/31/31) at Egg #2051, another flawless shiny :D

Hey guys, I'm joining the study!
I have the shiny charm and I pledge 540 eggs in batches of 90 (3 boxes) with a JP ditto and a FR Larvitar.
I will update this post after each batch.

Batch 1: 0 shiny
Batch 2: 0 shiny
Batch 3: 0 shiny
Batch 4: 0 shiny
Batch 5: 0 shiny
Batch 6: 0 shiny

Total: 540
