Shiny Charm and Masuda Method

330 is nothing. Try 1930 for your first shiny.
The predicted odds are 1 in 500ish.
I hatched 2100 Charmanders before quitting and going into Froakies. After 150, I got my first shiny. But I think that the best time for you to give up is after you've hatched 600 of the desired Pokémon. But that's just me.
By the way, here are my numbers. And now I'm angry. And sad. Mostly angry. No sign of a shiny Squirtle for me. I still don't know what I will try to hatch next. But I'll get back to it tomorrow, Sundays are usually lucky for me.

You have quite a bit more patience than I. I am still working on Mudkip I haven't made much progress since I've been sleeping but I'm not giving up.
The reason I'm doing the Hoenn starters is I'm prepping my team for AlphaSapphire. I want to have an all shiny line up.
420 eggs down and no shiny Mudkip. I'm going at a slightly slower pace than I would like. But hey life and girlfriend comes first I guess.
Ugh, I forgot how terrible it is to hatch eggs. What do you guys usually do when hatching them?

I think I got removed from the spreadsheet? My original post is #818. I had entered the first 2 batches (200 eggs, 1 shiny) and then I was too busy to breed for a while. I just finished a 3rd batch though! I don't want to just add myself again if I did something wrong though.

Anyways, 640 eggs and nothing so far. But like I said, not complaining until (maybe) if I hit the 1000 mark without a Shiny. I think the more annoying thing than the lack of a Shiny is how terribly slow I'm advancing. Welp.

Coming up at 600 and no shiny Mudkip in sight. :( I know I should be more patient but it's discouraging with high hopes as I have.
I believe the current odds are looking at 1/512, so you're not too far off there.
Update, 100 more eggs and no additional shiny for me. Total 1700 eggs, 9 shinies.
