My personal MM rate is 1/970something. Don't give up just keep hatching different eggs and it'll feel like less work
 
Hatched 1000 eggs using Jap. Ditto & Gible from my OT, shiny charm acquired.

Hi all! I just signed up for Smogon today, so I'm a newbie to all this. :-)

Maybe I could contribute to this thread a bit. I only received my Shiny Charm a couple of days ago, and I haven't been breeding a lot because of my exams.
I have been extremely lucky with the Shiny Charm + Masuda method so far. This is the result I got in just two days time:

Shiny Lapras - 26 eggs
Shiny Charmander - 63 eggs

I will continue breeding for my Chikorita as soon as my exams are over.
I hope that I can post the result soon.
 
And I've broken my 600 egg streak of unluck! Latest shiny is a HP Rock Treecko, with 24/31/30/31/30/30 stats and Overgrow. Might be good for when we get Mega Sceptile?

Hiya,

I've been following this thread for the last week or so and decided to make an account just so I can contribute.
I've been trying to hatch a shiny Froakie with it's hidden ability and at least 5ivs and have had no luck yet D:

I've hatched one shiny without the shiny charm but using a Korean Ditto and that was my 121st egg

For my Froakie, still with the same Korean Ditto but now also with the shiny charm, I'm currently at 725 eggs and counting.

My breakdown:
Set 1: 100 eggs 0/100
Set 2: 100 eggs 0/100
Set 3: 100 eggs 0/100
Set 4: 100 eggs 0/100
Set 5: 100 eggs 0/100
Set 6: 100 eggs 0/100
Set 7: 100 eggs 0/100

I still can't believe that the shiny Magikarp hatched after only 3 eggs, my shortest hunt so far, now i'll try with a Speed Boost Torchic.

Lots of work over the last couple days, 200 more eggs. Got a pair of shiny Brave gibles out of it!

so where do i start?
well i haven't posted in a while, why? because i notice ppl on youtube who were double and even triple
breeding with 3ds and 3 language pokemon games for X or Y. Ex: look up Elmelwin youtube user. He bough 4
pokemon x/y games and started each on in a different language. then breeds in each game and trades over
to cross breed with different languages, so he triggers masuda with 2 foreign parents. Then he simultaneously
breeds.

Well i stared doing this since, its all legit and its not cheating in one bit. However, i only have 2 3ds 2 pokemon x/y
So i started one in Spanish, and i am not gonna get the shiny charm all over again lol xD but i played till the point
that i can breed and use lumiouse city to fly and hatch there. The funny thing is, that while i was double breeding in
2 3ds, I got 2 shinnies in less then 200 eggs and both times in my new spanish game where i dont have shiny charm? wtf

I know its all chance but i cant believe my Spanish version is giving me better RNG. Hence, like i have said before, this kinda
proofs that some ppl just have better rng, and you have to take in consideration their name and ID could be a major factor
since this is part of the rng along with date and time (according to my research)

the 2 new shinies were quick feet shroomish and gastly. I unfortunately cannot at these to my list since they were
hatch in my spanish version with no shiny charm. but if i get one while breeding in my english with shiny charm i will add.
Just though i would share my research and thoughts with you guys. And update what ive been up to these last days xD
 
Small update!

I decided to take a little break from learning. While I was listening to some lectures, I was cycling around in Lumiose city.
And my shiny Chikorita hatched after 189 eggs, yes! I am so very very happy.
Didn't take that long at all, luck strikes again!

So that brings my new total;
Eggs hatched: 278
Shinies: 3

I will be going for my shiny Chinchou next. But now I really need to start studying, got a bit distracted by my sparkly Chikorita.

Updated post #1229. Just hatched a Timid Blaze Charmander (31/31/31/31/x/31) at Egg #3414, good enough for me :D. My results so far:

total egg count 1071 - 2 shines

Will start a batch of 150 eggs for eevee :)
