There are few Pokemon that resist or are immune to Ground in RU, and Silvally-Ground's ability to defeat them lets it function as a strong and effective setup sweeper. However, it is often considered a niche option and difficult to build around, as its typing overlaps with most of the common Stealth Rock users in RU, such as Rhydon, Steelix, and Mudsdale, which results in weaknesses being stacked on the team. Rock Slide allows Silvally-Ground to hit checks such as Charizard and Cramorant for super effective damage. Flame Charge makes Silvally-Ground much more difficult to revenge kill while also hitting its Grass-type checks like Rotom-C and Virizion. U-turn is an option that can be considered over Flame Charge, as it allows Silvally-Ground to weaken switch-ins like Vaporeon and Gastrodon and put them in range of its +2 Multi Attack. However, it is not generally recommended, as the primary reason to use Silvally-Ground is to set up for a sweep versus opposing teams, which requires Flame Charge's Speed boost.

Wallbreakers such as Frosmoth, Indeedee-M, and Drampa make for great partners. Silvally-Ground has no trouble breaking through Pokemon such as Copperajah, Snorlax, and Charizard, which hinder Frosmoth. In return, Frosmoth can handle checks to Silvally-Ground such as Gastrodon and Jellicent, being able to set up on those Pokemon with ease. Similarly, Silvally-Ground's ability to break through bulky Steel-types such as Copperajah and Steelix enables Indeedee-M and Drampa to freely click their STAB moves and heavily dent the opposing team. Additionally, due to its typing, Drampa is able to pivot in on Water- and Grass-type attacks for Silvally-Ground. As for defensive partners, Copperajah and Poison-types such as Vileplume, Qwilfish, and Garbodor complement Silvally-Ground really well. Copperajah can pivot in on Ice- and Grass-type attacks for Silvally-Ground, as well as supporting it in wallbreaking by providing Stealth Rock support. Vileplume is able to switch into Water- and Grass-types, which are common answers for Silvally-Ground, and set up with Growth to weaken the opposing team, facilitating Silvally-Ground's sweep late-game. Qwilfish and Garbodor can pivot in on Water- and Grass-type moves, respectively, as well as offer Spikes and Toxic Spikes support to put checks to Silvally-Ground such as Vaporeon, Jellicent, and Gastrodon in range of its +2 Multi-Attack. Additionally, Vaporeon is a great option, as it is able to reliably switch into Water-types and provide cleric support with Wish and Heal Bell to increase Silvally-Ground's sustainability.

With few Ground-type resists or immunities in RU, Silvally-Ground functions as a set-up sweeper with a good Speed tier and strong STAB attack as it is one of the few offensive Ground-types available in the tier. However, it is often considered as a niche option as its typing overlaps with most of the common Stealth Rock users in RU, such as Rhydon, Steelix and Mudsdale, which results in weaknesses being stacked on the team. Rock Slide allows Silvally-Ground to hit checks such as Charizard and Xatu for super effective damage, while Flame Charge enables a boost in Speed by 1 stage, making it a menacing threat to deal with gives Silvally-Ground +1 Speed, making it much more difficult to revenge kill. U-turn is an option that can be considered over Flame Charge to provide momentum against defensive Pokemon such as Jellicent and Gastrodon that Silvally-Ground is not able to kill from higher HP, but is not generally recommended as the primary reason to use Silvally-Ground is to set up for a sweep versus opposing teams.

Wallbreakers such as Frosmoth and Indeedee make for great partners. Silvally-Ground has no trouble breaking through Pokemon such as Copperajah, Snorlax, and Ninetales, all of which Frosmoth tends to struggle with. In return, Frosmoth can handle checks to Silvally-Ground such as Gastrodon and Jellicent, being able to set up on those said Pokemon with ease. Silvally-Ground is able to break through bulky Steel-types such as Copperajah and Steelix, which enables Indeedee to freely click its Psychic STAB and heavily dent the opposing team. As for defensive partners, Pokemon such as Copperajah and Vileplume have great synergy with Silvally-Ground. Copperajah can check Ice- and Grass-types for Silvally-Ground, as well as supporting it in wallbreaking by providing Stealth Rock support. Vileplume is able to switch in to Water- and Grass-types, which are common answers for Silvally-Ground, and set up with Growth to weaken the opposing team, making it easier for Silvally-Ground to clean late game. (Mention another switchin for grasses besides just plume, as well as vapo for beating waters + wish support, as well as silv ground being good at blocking volt since ppl don't usually expect silv ground) Additionally, Vileplume is able to sustain throughout the game through recovery from Strength Sap, making it an incredibly valuable partner.

[made this more clear]. Vileplume is able to switch in to Water- and Grass-types, which are common answers for Silvally-Ground, and set up with Growth to weaken the opposing team, making it easier for Silvally-Ground to clean late game. [Drampa comes in on water and grass types too, and appreciates groundvally taking on steels. maybe mention it?] Charizard complements Silvally-Ground really well, being able to reliably handle the Grass-types that Silvally-Ground struggles with, and also provide hazard removal through Defog. [hmm, if you mention spikes you may not want a defogger; silvground doesnt rly need hazards removed, it resists sr]. Additionally, Vaporeon is a great option as it is able to reliably switch into Water-types which threaten Silvally-Ground, and provide Wish and cleric support to enable it to have increased sustainability.

[mention SR support from the usual suspects and Spikes support from mons like Garbodor/Qwilfish/Coalossal, since it makes it easier to put neutral physical walls like Vaporeon, Jellicent, and Vileplume in range of its +2 Multi Attack]
