Simple Question, Simple Answer Thread Advance

Gambling seems to be the best way to get DP. If you bet 15 points you can get 15 more points. Keep in mind in order to gamble in the Battle frontier you need at least 3 symbols. Also, out of all the facilities, the Battle Pyramid gives you the most BP.

THAT is the fastest way to get BP. However, if you lose you lose your points too. So if you bet 15 BP and win at the Battle Pyramid, you'll get 15 points + 2 = 17 points.
 
What Speed do I need on my Rhydon to outspeed Weezing? I hate that I get Wisped before I can put up a Sub.

Edit: Now that I see the stats, I doubt it's possible...
 
Holy crap, it's possible? I am going to try that. Adamant only got me to 198 Speed, so I am gon try Jolly since I only need 192 EVs to get 180.

I have a new question: Is there any Poke that can take on Marowak after it gets Speed Boosts/Swords Dances? I keep getting into Celebi/Zapdos or Ninjask(SD/Speed Boost) + Marowak. That thing is pathetic since all they ever do is use Speed + SD and go to Marowak.

Other then that, if they manage to pass it speed boosts and then get a Swords Dance up, the only that can survive a +2 Marowak is probably Skarmory.
 
Yeah, that's what I was talking about (Marowak with SD). The only way I was able to hurt it at all was with my Swellow using Quick Attack. He had two Legends anyways lol. That jackass. I will try Skarm for a bit and allow them to get their BPs running, then switch to it. Hopefully on a Ground Attack so I can try Whirlwind it away. I'll post the results here.

And for one more question:

What is the best Aerodactyl killer in UU?

And I just found out a few days ago that Butterfree owns Swamperts with Giga Drain if it doesn't use a Rock Move or other Physical Attacks. Just now, it just 3KOed a Metagross while it was asleep. lol.
 
The best UU counters for Aerodactyl are probably Solrock with Reflect and Quasire with Surf. A bulky Cradily can work too.
 
I've just got back into Pokemon. I left it about a month since April 23rd (when I got the game), is there any new news that I should read up on? Like, anything added to the tier lists etc?
 
Are you talking about D/P?? or R/S/E?? In D/P read up on Tier lists. New movesets, Go to Rate My Teams to make your skills more intune with the metagame

I have a problem with Zapdos with my UU team. Especially the ones that are Calm Natured, which I mostly encountered with Stall Teams(Linked Battles), and My team is currently this:

Grumpig, Tentacruel(Mirror Coat), Linoone(Trick), Swellow(CB), Butterfree, Rhydon.

I don't have Extreme Speed on my Linoone. The only thing I can do to the Zapdos currently is Mirror Coat the bastard's Thunderbolt(31 IV Sp.D and 136 HP EVs). My friends Soft Reset for their HP Grass Zapdos(which I should do in FR next), and my Rhydon can't do anything to it because of that. I once beat it with my Rhydon using Trick from Linoone on TBolt and switch to Rhydon. 

I need a better way to take care of that thing. I am thinking of changing Butterfree, but she usually destroys Swampert / Rhydon / other things with Giga Drain after sleeping them. Also it's the only thing I can take Weezing with, among other things. Also takes out Forretress, who I find amazing would switch into it(HP Fire).

Put into code to save space. I just fixed the problem with my Tentacruel. Mirror Coat + extra HP so I can take it in the Sandstorm.

I have a new problem though. I am trying to figure out a good Jolteon, and I have come up with this so far:

Volt Absorb - Timid Nature
EVs: 132 HP / 180 Speed / 198 Sp.Def(orSp.Att)
~Sub
~Thunderbolt
~Hidden Power [Fire]
~Thunder Wave

HP Fire for those stupid Forretress that like to Spike, and to get the Magnetons that could show up(most likely not though). But I hate Forretress.

Team so far is: Jolt / Aero / Sceptile / Steelix / Dodrio / Gengar
Again, Jolt is for the stupid Calm bastards named Zapdos (HP doesn't break sub when I used that EV Spread and they switch).

I need a better Jolteon.
 
I'm sorry for the double post(don't pay attention to the previous post).

I need help on my Pokemon game. Ok here's the thing: I just beat the Elite 4 on Emerald, and I want to know if I can SR for a Modest Latios.

Will the Nature / IVs change from Soft Resetting to the part before I chose it's color? Or is the Nature and IVs set from when I started the game?
 
The Pokemon's IVs and Nature will most likely be chosen after you chose which one you want after the E4. If it's not that, then it is the start of the game.
 
I was looking for nearly an hour last night and it didn't even show up. I am going to just give up and continue with the game. Just play it like normal until I can get my hands on an Eon Ticket, then get the good IV/Nature Lati@s from there.

For now though, where is the best place to get Latios to show up?
 
Bump! Err... I have a question. As Smogon has a Battling 101 programme for DP, would it be possible for you guys to start a Battling 100 or something to focus on RSE only? Or if anyone is willing to teach this noob how to maximise his defenses (Read the guide) plus be defensive but not too much. That would be nice...thanks and please move this if it was the wrong thread, I just thought of this question .... Love my Avatar.
 
I don't have a right to say yes or no. Though...why are you wanting to learn the R/S/E metagame? If you venture around NetBattle and talk to people who are willing to teach you, you can get a gather enough experience there. R/S/E hasn't got any future, D/P is the future (I say this alot) and it's something you could learn which will help you in time.

I would take time to help you as a hobbie on NetBattle, just find me there.
 
I think I battled you once.. I'm just curious. I can never be the best on any top server... always end up 2nd or 3rd. I'm trying to find you there...my query is answered!
 
I moderate Kirby's Casino, Official Server and Pmnb Server. Good chance I will be on one of them 3 servers.
