Question about thw johto safari..can I just place one object in area to level up tgat object type or does it only level up tge number of objects you have placed?

I just set up the objects I needed, then opened my SS cart after 200(roughly) days and caught all pokes I wanted
 
Sup guys. Looking for more 6 IV dittos. Also, I really need a hidden ability Turtwig. Preferably female, but that's not required.
