And was told that this was from Pokecheck and shouldn't be traded around as it was publicly available. I forgot to ask at the time, should it not be allowed to trade for things of value because it is publicly available, or is it something else? I'm afraid I wasn't around during the time of Pokecheck so I don't know these things ^^;

It's not against the rules to trade it per se (assuming it was properly downloaded, and legit in the first place).

(AFAIK) the main issue would be that whomever traded it to you, 99% chance they did no work to get it. If the original catcher (the one who did the work) was kind enough to put the Pokémon up freely available, it could be deemed in poor taste for anyone else to do differently. Just my opinion on the matter.
 
So, having spent the morning looking for shabby-fishy tiles in Platinum, I found the Feebas resting place.

Now the serious matters, if I change the date for RNG the fish should still spawn in the same place, right? I mean, as long as the game doesn't clock past midnight I'm cool right? Really don't want to have wasted my morning.... :(
