When should the results from the Deo-D voting be finished and announced? If i remember correctly, the thread was made a couple days ago.

Hey I got a question.

I'm currently testing this team I'm making: a rain team utilizing Nasty Plot + Baton Pass Celebi. I don't want to go too much into the team since I plan on rating it later, but I'm currently using CM Jirachi to tank Dragon hits. However, lately, I've been considering Heatran. Yes. Heatran, in rain. Why not? Volcarona works in rain, I wouldn't only give credit to the move hurricane either. I planned on trying this set out:

Heatran @ Shuca Berry
Trait: Flash Fire
Nature: Timid
EVs: 140 HP / 144 SpA / 224 Spe
- Flame Charge
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Hidden Power [Ice]

With +2 passing, it won't really need to much power. I did calcs and it still 2HKO Ferrothorn in rain at +0, as well as having a 3% chance on OHKO'ing Toxicroak at +0, and much other things that express its amazing power even with the rain hamering its prowress. The bulk is needed to avoid a 2HKO from LO Latios, as well as tanking Outrage from Kyu-B, while living EQ from Dugtrio, Donphan, Gliscor, Earth Power from Modest Kyu-B, EQ from Haxorus with Adamant, and a 25% chance of living EQ from Jolly Garchomp. I feel its bulk gives it more Flame Charge set up oppurtunities, as well as being a great answer to sun (which is an issue) and being a great NPPass recipient for celebi since other Heatran + Scizor are immidete threats he doesn't mind beating, as +2 / +1 || +2 / +2 should have no problems sweeping in rain. The speed outspeeds 269 Toxicroak and below. (Also I can live mach from Breloom at +0 if I'm at 100%, otherwise SR puts me into KO range, but still thats lol material to me XD)

I live so many Outrage from random Pokemon, and I can even live things like Scald from Defensive Politoed (in rain), Scald from Tentacruel (in rain), live SS from Timid Keldeo, as well as living surf outside of rain, and it tanks Tornadus-I's coverage completely. LO Torn-I's Hurricane is a 4HKO (talk about sad; I'm not even holding leftovers lol).

However, this is all on paper. I don't go on PO / PS on weekdays so I've yet to try it. I was hoping to ask if anyone else has used Heatran in rain to success? I feel its even slightly better than Volcarona cause fuck being SR weak imo. Thanks!

Volcarona can work in rain because it got a good secondary stab in Bug Buzz a great coverage attack in Hurricane and even though its fire stab is weakend it still hits everything you want it to hit for super effective damage.

Heatran could work in rain, but not with such an offensive set, halving the power of your main offensive stab hurts but heatrans coverage moves also have low base power and not exactly great super effective coverage so overall this doesn't seems like a very threatening set. If you want to use Heatran in rain the SDef set can work thanks to its unique typing and useful support moves in roar and lava plume of course this can't abuse the +2 boost from celebie nearly as good, but personally i have never found NP celebie to be an exceptional good baton passer mainly because it doesn't synergize very well with other special sweepers outside of heatran.

@DrRobotnik why would you want to use that over something like Escavalier/Scizor or if its about Hazards SD Ferrothorn imo it seems like a gimmicky that will rarely be useful.

But you got to treat Power trick as a set-up move, after 252+ Forry uses Powertrick it gets 416 atk, but after a 252+ Ferrrothorn/Scizor uses Swords Dance it got 630/788 atk and doesn't needs to compromise its defense stat as a trade of.
 
Plus Forretress gets a lot of alternatives such as counter and explosion. Ill address Burning in a PM when I get time....
 
does Hidden Power Fire get boosted in sun? I keep getting confused whether or not it does since Hidden Power Fire is not a "real" fire attack(at least in my book). I just need some clarification since it really confuses me.

I said that its not a "real" fire attack since technically its not a official fire type attack as its not listed as a fire type attack as hidden power can be any type but thanks for answering my question however

I have encountered this a bit and I wanna grasp the concept a bit better. How are some teams more "complex" or "harder" than others? Also, what styles are considered "harder" to play?

More complex teams typically make the user think a lot more to predict around threats and use his/her head. A great example of a team like this is French Orgy in the Sun with Belzebuth from BW1. In order to win, you have to predict the weather starters coming in with your Sunny Day Ninetales, use the trapping combination of Heatran and Dugtrio effectively, and predict heavily to make sure that Stealth Rock doesn't get up. And you have to know how to bluff your Venusaur set and exactly how much damage you have to get on things like Dragonite and Salamence before Volcarona can kill them.

Easier teams match up well against most threats, and it is fairly obvious what to do in most situations. A good example of this sort of team is Optical Overload. Although playing well is still important, one can generally win by simply continuously attacking with the sweepers and retreating to the defensive core/revenge killing with Keldeo when necessary -- the strategy is much less complex.

As far as styles in general go, hyper offense, rain offense, and sand balance are generally considered easier playstyles, with sun and balance more difficult. Hyper offense got weaker with the Deo-D ban though so this may change.

Sub 3Atk KyuB wants 285 speed, maximum SpA, 405 HP, and the remainder in attack. I forget the actual spread for thus but I don't think it's on site either.
