Is there a community or thread for improving at randbats?
thanks ill stop inbest we got is probably joining the random battles room on showdown, we can hook you up with all sorts of resources there
randbats includes every fully evolved Pokémon (and even some NFEs), but randbats for specific tiers do not exist. Towards the end of the generation Gen 9 Battle Factory will exist, which randomly generates meta sets for Pokémon within a given tier, and that tier is rolled randomly. Gen 8 Battle Factory still has a ladder, and you can roll Gen 8 RU there.is their a randbats for ru ?
BSS factory technically isn't handled by the rands team, so we don't have a thread for it. I'll make sure we get in contact with them and get a thread made when Gen 9 BSS Factory comes out. In the meantime, please use the Battle Factory thread. Is their a thread for BSS Factory set discussion? I couldn't find a link on the intro post of the sv set discussion thread and nothing came up when I searched the random battle threads
If a Pokemon is good support, they make their team win. What you describe doesn't seem to be happening, but do feel to provide examples.there is a way to balance support mons? (winrates will make then level100 bc they cant win a battle on its own)
well for now are these mons:If a Pokemon is good support, they make their team win. What you describe doesn't seem to be happening, but do feel to provide examples.
We have seen something similar on the early days of SS level balancing, when Aromatisse became way too bulky because it kept being terrible, but nothing like what you are describing.
The way the code works, it straight up is not feasible to do so. Items are not typically assigned to individual species, and are instead applied generally through an algorithm. The /randbats command only takes from the individual Pokemon data, which just has level, tera types, roles, and moves. Everything else is decided through a long code process. For example, Weakness Policy is generated on particularly fat Bulky Setup role Pokemon with "speed setup" moves (agility, rock polish, flame charge), and Choice Scarf can appear on any Mon with base 100 in an attacking stat, 60-108 base Speed, and the ability to have four physical or four special attacks (with some exceptions for trick, uturn, etc)Can the /randbats command be updated to show what items a Pokemon may hold, in addition to movesets and tera types? It would be helpful to know when I need to play around things like Choice Scarf and Weakness Policy.
Hax and RNG are a part of the game, and it's OK to complain about them sometimes—though I get it, it can be frustrating sometimes. If someone ever starts to get aggressive or insulting, feel free to use the /report function.I dont know where else to ask this so this seems like the best place. Can we consider bannign people talking about hax in the chatroom on pokemon showdown? It is pretty obnoxious.
as far as i know, there isntIs there any way to challenge another user to a game of Battle Factory with a specific tier (i.e. always get LC or RU from the pool of formats) using the challenge command?
If I want to get better at the game, are there any strategies I can use or guides I can read? I heard that keeping your sweepers healthy and trying to lure out the opponents' sweepers early is often a good strategy, not sure that's really true.
if u want a tip do not follow the rules, just know ur mons and ur important mons and the roles, ofc the stats, and abilities, like Tangrow absnormal physical Defenses, but almost to unexistent special, 2 is to know the item, u can see what can be depending on some of the moves it does, the damage imput or just seeing the messages, lose a mon when its necesary also can work do not fear to lose a mon if u see that if u dont u will lost aganist it, like is so easy to lose aganist Nasty plot users so see if its more convenient to lose a mon in disvantage or risk a Nasty plot sweep. If I want to get better at the game, are there any strategies I can use or guides I can read? Id assume there's some shared power shenanigans happening. Probably mayhem coding.https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/...-2166715163-nn0u3vyb7atcsnsc35jvegz91utvcmypw
sorry if this isn't the right place to post this and do direct me to the fitting thread if it isn't
On turn 8, extreme speed from lucario hit terapagos for neutral damage despite it having full health, which would usually activate tera shell
Is this a quirk of the mayhem coding or is there a mechanic I don't know at play?
in my experience tera shell only activates if the turtle is getting hit for super effective damage; dont know why. I assume its some issue with inverse or shared power yeahhttps://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/...-2166715163-nn0u3vyb7atcsnsc35jvegz91utvcmypw
