Are there any plans to reintroduce the Good Cores thread?
Fairly new to the competitive scene for SV ((and these forums). Does anyone mind sharing what the current meta builds (EVs, moveset, etc.) are for the below mons? Struggling to find quick threads with this info.
1.) Iron Hands
2.) Heatran
3.) Iron Valiant
Iron Hands is an uncommon mon in the current tier, since it has issues with Great Tusk, once of the most used mons in the tier. It also has greater competition on Trick Room as a physical breaker with Ursaluna joining the tier, and for now is outclassed in many ways by Zamazenta.
The sets shown here should still be good, just hard to justify a teamslot for.
https://www.smogon.com/dex/sv/pokemon/iron-hands/Heatran, from my experience, runs Magma Storm, Earth Power and Protect, with the final two slots usually going to Taunt, Stealth Rock or Tera Blast. As far as I know there's not really a dominant EV spread right now, but generally Heatran commits to either Max Spatk Max Speed on offensive teams, or Max HP, some speed (maybe 40EVs to hit 200 to outspeed Adamant Kingambit/Ursaluna/Azumarill, maybe more to outspeed slow Tusks and Landos) and the rest in SpDef. It's almost always either Leftovers or Air Balloon, but something like Boots could work too.
This mon has a huge variety of sets. It's pretty much always max speed and maxed out in one attacking stat. This page has a good list of sets and I think most of them could remain unchanged post-HOME. https://www.smogon.com/dex/sv/pokemon/iron-valiant/
Thank you so much! Do you have a thread for the most current Great Tusk set being used?
Thank you!!Not a thread but this is pretty on point: https://www.smogon.com/dex/sv/pokemon/great-tusk/
Any thoughts on most optimal tera type for naive booster set? Was thinking ghost but not sure how that works with new HOME pokemon/meta.Not a thread but this is pretty on point: https://www.smogon.com/dex/sv/pokemon/great-tusk/

SR or Spikes, EQ, Ruination, and either Whirlwind Heavy Slam or the other hazard with SDef.What's the most common Ting Lu build going around lately? Or has Ting Lu usage fallen off as of late?
Thanks! Do you have any info to share on EV spread / tera type / nature? What are the common team pairings that are used post-HOME update?SR or Spikes, EQ, Ruination, and either Whirlwind Heavy Slam or the other hazard with SDef.
It is still very good in this format. HSlam is largely for Enamorus, but not needed depending upon team.
I'm pretty sure he just means whichever hazard (spikes or stealth rock) you didn't put in the first slot. Basically just running dual hazards + Earthquake + Ruination. Also, what do you mean by "the other hazard?" New to the forum so trying to pick up on lingo.
Ting-Lu @ LeftoversThanks! Do you have any info to share on EV spread / tera type / nature? What are the common team pairings that are used post-HOME update?
Yeah, technically Corviknight could run Lightscreen, Reflect, Defog, Uturn. It's not common though, and I wouldn't recommend it.Is there a hazard remover that can also set screens?
Oh eww, thanks. I'll put a kabosh on that type of role compression. Almost as bad as my dual screens Forretress idea.Yeah, technically Corviknight could run Lightscreen, Reflect, Defog, Uturn. It's not common though, and I wouldn't recommend it.
Earlier in the generation, Psyspam teams featuring Indeedee/Hatterene/Polteageist were hugely popular, but I haven't seen much talk of them recently, even pre-Home. Are these teams still viable/popular, or have there been any changes in the meta that made them fall off?
Lower tiers have NP threads for each usage shift. Usage shifts don’t impact OU, so we have a metagame discussion and then suspects whenever a suspect is ongoingWhy OU didnt start a new NP after the new Supect test like the lowers tiers??
