Fairly new to the competitive scene for SV ((and these forums). Does anyone mind sharing what the current meta builds (EVs, moveset, etc.) are for the below mons? Struggling to find quick threads with this info.

1.) Iron Hands
2.) Heatran
3.) Iron Valiant

  • :iron-hands: Iron Hands is an uncommon mon in the current tier, since it has issues with Great Tusk, once of the most used mons in the tier. It also has greater competition on Trick Room as a physical breaker with Ursaluna joining the tier, and for now is outclassed in many ways by Zamazenta.
The sets shown here should still be good, just hard to justify a teamslot for.

  • :heatran: Heatran, from my experience, runs Magma Storm, Earth Power and Protect, with the final two slots usually going to Taunt, Stealth Rock or Tera Blast. As far as I know there's not really a dominant EV spread right now, but generally Heatran commits to either Max Spatk Max Speed on offensive teams, or Max HP, some speed (maybe 40EVs to hit 200 to outspeed Adamant Kingambit/Ursaluna/Azumarill, maybe more to outspeed slow Tusks and Landos) and the rest in SpDef. It's almost always either Leftovers or Air Balloon, but something like Boots could work too.
  • :iron-valiant: This mon has a huge variety of sets. It's pretty much always max speed and maxed out in one attacking stat. This page has a good list of sets and I think most of them could remain unchanged post-HOME. https://www.smogon.com/dex/sv/pokemon/iron-valiant/

Thank you so much! Do you have a thread for the most current Great Tusk set being used?

Any thoughts on most optimal tera type for naive booster set? Was thinking ghost but not sure how that works with new HOME pokemon/meta.
:Iron Valiant: Iron Valiant Fairy, Ghost, Water, Electric, Steel

I think the above are all relevant and the most used currently but it's all based on the rapid changes taking place but I would say these 5 are the best.

Tera water is for the physical attacking booster sets
Tera Fairy is just overall used for an offensive tera perspective and powering Moonblast / Spirit Break
Tera Ghost is for defensive and offensive perspective to beat Dragonite Extreme Speed and to power up Shadow Ball
Tera Electric is to power up Thunderbolt for Corviknight and other bulky waters
Tera Steel is for a defensive perspective as well

What's the most common Ting Lu build going around lately? Or has Ting Lu usage fallen off as of late?
SR or Spikes, EQ, Ruination, and either Whirlwind Heavy Slam or the other hazard with SDef.

It is still very good in this format. HSlam is largely for Enamorus, but not needed depending upon team.

Thanks! Do you have any info to share on EV spread / tera type / nature? What are the common team pairings that are used post-HOME update?

Also, what do you mean by "the other hazard?" New to the forum so trying to pick up on lingo.

Ting-Lu @ Leftovers
Ability: Vessel of Ruin
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 Spe
Careful Nature
- Spikes
- Earthquake
- Ruination
- Whirlwind

It’s good with Gholdengo, who blocks Defog

Earlier in the generation, Psyspam teams featuring Indeedee/Hatterene/Polteageist were hugely popular, but I haven't seen much talk of them recently, even pre-Home. Are these teams still viable/popular, or have there been any changes in the meta that made them fall off?

Updated answer: I would say the current variant of Psyspam you're referring to might not be viable in this current meta specifically setting Spikes / Stealth Rock regardless of Hatterene having Magic Bounce from Samurott-Hisui and Kleavor. So Hatt outside of eject packing becomes almost useless in those matchups and it adds an additional step that you have to remove entry hazard before you get your sweepers on that have Focus Sash. Outside of that you now have to go against Rillaboom which in my opinion is much more popular than Pincurchin was Pre-HOME. Also Trick Room teams are vastly more popular nowadays compared to Pre-HOME because of Ursaluna. Not easy to use Hatt / Indeedee / Polt teams anymore.

Is Ursaluna really that strong in the current meta? I know the stats and all that, but I feel like consensus is 50/50 split on whether it's effective (with TR teams) or if its glaring weaknesses are easily manageable. With all the great mon available, wondering if it's worth taking a spot on the roster.
