Skuntank QC (3/3) GP(0/2)

TBQH I don't think this is even ready for GP yet.

The first set:
  • lacks teammates
  • move the section about Life Orb and Leftovers to AC, and it would help if you could provide calcs - does Leftovers better enable you to counter stuff, or is Life Orb required for specific KOs?
  • who do the 4 Speed EVs let Skuntank outspeed? If it's just 'other Skuntank', it's speed creep and it needs to go into Defense or something.

The second set:
  • move the explanation of EVs and nature to AC
  • same goes for Leftovers vs Life Orb
  • do Cacturne's Spikes help Skuntank achieve any KOs?
  • a faster EV spread can be used, which will also aid in Taunting fast supporting Pokemon - such as? what spread? what mons?
  • what specific Pokemon can Regirock paralyze and help Skuntank to outspeed / should Regirock aim to paralyze in order to best assist Skuntank?

In the OO, rephrase this sentence.
Bastiodon can wall Skuntank to no end due to its Rock typing, but if Skuntank has Rock Smash, then Bastiodon become much less effective.
The way it's phrased makes me go huh? why is this in OO, shouldn't it be in Checks and Counters? I do sort of get that you're trying to say Rock Smash can be used to break through Bastiodon, who otherwise walls Skuntank, but if you are, then say so directly!

In Checks and Counters, instead of saying "Steel-types wall physical Skuntank" and "Fighting-types resist Dark-type STAB", give specific examples of said Pokemon - anyone can look at a typechart.

I will fix this. ~_~

Edit:
Adamant 252 Atk. Skuntank Sucker Punch with Leftovers does 56.87% - 65.11% to 252 HP 252 Def Bold Mesprit after Steath Rock, 2-3 hits to KO with Leftovers.
Adamant 252 Atk. Skuntank Sucker Punch with Life Orb does 70.05% - 80.77% to 252 HP 252 Def Bold Mesprit after Steath Rock,57.69% - 68.41% without rocks
Adamant 252 Atk. Skuntank Sucker Punch with Life Orb does 95.36% - 112.25% to 4 HP 0 Def Modest Mesprit without Rocks, always OHKO with rocks
Adamant 252 Atk. Skuntank Sucker Punch with Leftovers does 72.52% - 86.42% to 4 HP 0 Def Modest Mesprit without Rocks, 84.77% - 98.68% with rocks

Hi, just dropping by to say that the first set needs to run 224 HP / 252 Atk / 32 Spe Adamant so it can get the edge on Misdreavus and Taunt before Missy can Will-O-Wisp. I know it's speed creep and generally frowned upon, but outspeeding Misdreavus is so central to the purpose of Skuntank that it's necessary to do so.

My spring break is coming up in two days I plan on doing this then as I have essays to write and exams to study for. I hope this is alright, thanks.

Edit: saw the new deadline, I can do that.

Why on earth is Fire Blast the default option for the third slot on the mixed set? The most popular Steel types in the tier, Probopass and Bastiodon, can both take Fire Blasts with ease, while Hidden Power Fighting does much more respectable damage, as does Rock Smash. These moves are aso more effective against the Dark types that can take Skuntank's other moves. Calcs for the current mixed set!

Fire Blast vs. 252/252+ Probopass: 16.04 - 19.13%
Rock Smash vs. 252/0 Probopass: 45.67 - 54.32%
Hidden Power Fighting vs. 252/252+ Probopass: 38.27 - 45.67%

Fire Blast vs. 252/252 Bastiodon: 19.13 - 22.83%
Rock Smash vs. 252/0+ Bastiodon: 35.8 - 43.2%
Hidden Power Fighting vs. 252/252 Bastiodon: 45.67 - 54.32%

Sludge Bomb does more against most Grass types, most importantly Tangela. Unless you're really worried about Torterra specifically, or random Ice types, then either Rock Smash or Hidden Power Fighting would be the better option in my opinion. I've been using Skuntank, and haven't found Fire Blast particularly good in combination with Sludge Bomb. Maybe it should be slashed with Sludge Bomb instead?

ALSO, I agree with the other guys; this could do with an update before going through GP. You don't even mention the aforementioned main targets of the mixed set, or any specific targets at all, for that matter.

This was written when magneton and Klinklang were NU. I am working on the update now as I recently was released on spring break.
