In Depth Look
roserade.png

Roserade @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Sleep Powder
- Sludge Bomb
- Leaf Storm

Role: Sleeper Lead. Outspeeds any non scarfed lead, Sleep powder and if I'm successful, I get it out of there and switch in another pokemon. Leaf Storm lets me OHKO Swampert no matter what, HP Ice gives me check against Flygon, Salamence and Gliscor. Sludge bomb is a nice STAB with potential to take out Celebi and hit hard even with neutral damage. It also makes Scarf Jirachi useless because it gets locked into Trick.

Teamwork: 4x Grass resist, Toxic Spikes resist and Water resist makes this a great defensive switch to many Bulky Waters. Leaf Storm hurts REALLY hard on Gyarados because of it's 210 BP with STAB taken into account, but I usually just use this at the beginning of the match and forget about it until something comes in that this counters well.

heatran.png

Heatran @ Shuca Berry
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 Atk/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Explosion
- Stealth Rock

Role: Setup SR and maybe sweep something that comes in to counter. Most of the time, Metagross comes in, expecting a ScarfTran, but see's me setup SR, resist EQuake with Shuca and hit back with a heavy Earth Power. Fire Blast for extra power, albeit lower accuracy, and I'm not having the best of luck right now, so I might switch it to Flamethrower. Explosion is self explanatory, hopefully they don't switch in a Steel/Ghost type when I use it.

Teamwork: Well... Absorbs fire moves from Roserade, but not too many people use fire moves except for Infernape and other Heatrans. Absorbs Bullet Punch from Scizor and hits back hard, takes Ice from Duggy and Latias and resists Toxic spikes too.

233.png

Porygon2 @ Leftovers
Ability: Trace
EVs: 252 HP/164 Def/92 SAtk
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Discharge
- Toxic
- Ice Beam
- Recover

Role: Wall. Epic Wall. This has good tanking abilities and scares Gyarados with Discharge. I chose Toxic over TWave because of Discharge's high chance of paralysis. Recover is to heal off damage along with Leftovers.

Teamwork: Switch in on Flygon/Salamence trying to EQuake Heatran and counter with Ice Beam. Switch on Gyarados trying to Waterfall Dugtrio and Discharge. Toxic on Blissey that tries to wall Heatran.

dugtrio.png

Dugtrio @ Choice Band
Ability: Arena Trap
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Aerial Ace
- Earthquake
- Night Slash
- Rock Slide

Role: Revenge kill the Electric Types. 388 Atk coupled with 372 Spd is nothing to laugh at. Night Slash for Non Scarf Latias, Rock Slide for Salamence. Aerial Ace is there... because it's there. I couldn't think of a better move to put there so I thought that it could offer good coverage.

Teamwork: Pulls Electric attacks away from Kingdra and counters Jolteon/Electivire quite nicely. Kills Heatran effectively and absolutely destroys Lucario and Infernape.

kingdra.png

Kingdra @ Lum Berry
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Outrage
- Waterfall
- Dragon Dance
- Substitute

Role: Setup and sweep everything. Come in on something that can't cause much damage, Sub and DD away. If you can get in 4 DD's, it becomes gg. Lum berry to either switch in on a status, or to get rid of those people who hope i hax myself to death with Confusion.

Teamwork: Swaps in on waters. They can't do anything to me, so I have one or two free DDs. This is a late game sweeper, and counters Rain Dance teams. Really, I don't bring this in too much, because there's not too many opportunities to set it up.

latias.png

Latias @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Trick
- Thunderbolt
- Surf
- Draco Meteor

Role: Sweep/Revenge Killer. Switch this into a resist and at least one thing is going to die thanks to Draco Meteor. Thunderbolt and Surf are just for coverage. This is a sweeper that comes in, gets a kill, and switches out.

Teamwork: Switch on Earthquake directed at Heatran or Fire moves directed at Roserade if Heatran dies. This a situational sweeper that I usually bring in after a KO on one of my pokemon.

This is a great team that has won me ~90% of my matches since I started using it. It doesn't hold too many weaknesses and has good move coverage. Rate, see what this could use and tell me what could improve it. Don't put random "Your team is completely sweeped by [insert slow, never used, completely situational pokemon here]". This team has lost to Bellyzard ONCE. But thats because it got lucky and setup. Rate away.

mmm a Sleep Talk Machamp could give your team alot of trouble. 3 of your Pokemon can easily get OHKOed by a Dynamic Punch easily. Which are Porygon 2, Heatran, and Dugtrio. You might wanna replace Dugtrio for a Gliscor since all Dugtrios good for is revenge kills.

I never liked having 3 choice pokemon on a team. Since that could backfire lategame, since your forced to using a choice pokemon as your last pokemon, and you can only choose one attack.

What do you think of adding a rapid spinner to your team?

Well, for the Machamp I've encountered, I switch in Latias and Draco Meteor, which usually kills it. I've used Rapid Spinners in the past, but it never stuck with me. I don't like using Rapid Spinners because I feel like not many options are available if you use one. I love Gliscor, but Duggy has Arena Trap, and I don't want the other guy to switch in a HP Ice Zapdos as I Equake, forcing me to switch and giving him a free turn. On the other hand, Duggy can't do much against Zapdos either, but at least they CANT switch in on him.

I like the team, it looks awfully familiar ;o

Anyways, I hate that you are completely luke weak, normally we can settle for not letting luke set up...but you have a shit load of pokes for luke to set up on. After 1 draco meteor, luke can come in, SD and 6-0 you. To fix this, we can: Put celebi in over P-2, basically counters the same things, just bring celebi's speed up to 280 (higher if you want for Jolly lukes). Or we can put in Gliscor (sd? stall breaker? all great options) over duggy, but then you lose your trapper. You cover just about every other threat pretty well, but luke is the most dangerous sweeper in the game for a reason.

For Luke I bring in Roserade. It's not a suicide lead, and 459 Spd Sleep Powder is something to be feared. Although I agree my team is Luke weak, one sacrifice is something I'm willing to do to hit Luke with Duggy's STAB Equake. I'll definitely test Celebi to see if it fits, but I would like to have a wall other than Vaporeon on this team. And yes this team sprung from one in the RMT archive, with a few tweaks.

Don't just say that I'm weak to something without giving me a way of fixing it. What could I do to get rid of my Luke weakness?

Someone already did.

"To fix this, we can: Put celebi in over P-2, basically counters the same things, just bring celebi's speed up to 280 (higher if you want for Jolly lukes). If Lukey Luke can sweep your whole team, then changing it is an absolute necessity, due to the abundance of Lucarios. All of Scofields suggestions work, so I'd go with one of them.

EDIT: Also, have you tried the Rain Dance set on Kingdra? It's much more powerful. It takes only 1 turn to setup, and provides as much power as 3DDs from your current Kingdra.

I use the Sub DD set because I like the boost in attack and not just speed. For Celebi, what would give better coverage + Luke resist, HP Fire or Earth Power?

Rain multiplies water type attacks by 1.5
Using the rain also lets you use a mixed set so you won't get walled as easy.

EDIT: hp fire is more standard, for the x4 super effective damage on scizor.

I'll test out the Rain set if the SubDD set starts failing me. Well, i'm pretty happy with this team, 1 major weakness and really not too hard to fix. thanks guys.
