Okay, so here we are again. This time, I think I can keep this up. And if I'm taking a break, I'll pass the password onto a trusted person so they can take control of it. Basically, we are creating a country using Nationstates. You will be deciding on how to solve issues, basically how we're running the country. But not just yet. First, we have to make our country. The first step in that is deciding how free our people will be.

tbh, the only way this world will be perfect in my eyes is if someone like me is king. That's why the next sub forum will be called Mace's Royal Cloning Chamber so I can put this planet in the hands of someone I trust while also just meme around all day.

My opinions only, please do not prosecute anyone else if you disagree with these opinions.
We ought to have anarchy, because creativity is most important to our economy and the downsides of not having a society to ensure a basic standard of living for maximum creativity is mitigated by our online location, and anarchy offers no laws to limit what we can do. In reality though, the laws of the Smogon are universal so complete anarchy is non-achievable. The next-best option is hence democracy.
Note: I assume creativity is important to our economy due to the existence of likes. Likes are awarded as of now to original and/or interesting ideas, so hence for maximum societal profit creativity needs to be maximised as well.

As for my opinions on select questions:
- corporations are good for society if they serve their function, which is to produce the goods they specialise in. anything else is otherwise on the table. honestly though, we're not buying anything here, so corporations in smogoff is a tad useless.
- i don't know, does marijuana promote creativity?
- i don't know, does spirituality promote creativity? i've been told it does, hence if so yes we should be more spiritual
- we're not fighting anyone, don't let talent and creativity be drained from the pool.
- look at our ecnonomy. i say it's quite capitalist. anyone disagree? (yes?)
- a country has all the stuff in it. ideology is not the only factor defining a country.
- criminals are punished by smogon, and we cannot fix that. still, detering criminals is preferable to retain creativity and potential. if this was an anarchy criminals couldn't exist though.
- we're really really bored people. that's our history and it's unlikely to change soon.

Any luck finding them? Also, the poll is finished! Anarchy has won, and since かたわれ時 is the only one that responded to the other questions, I will be using their responses for the rest of the questions. So now, we need to name the country. I would obviously elect Smogoff as the name, but if we have other suggestions feel free to choose those. Now, how do we classify our country?

So just tell me which one you'd prefer and I'll count the votes at the end.
Then we need a flag for the country, so feel free to suggest a specific countries flag or make your own.
Last but not least, we need 3 more things to finalise this country.

Well we cannot go for a:
Kingdom, Republic, Principality, Empire, Sultanate, Holy Empire, Theocracy, Most Serene Republic, Queendom, Fiefdom, Constitutional Monarchy, Dictatorship, Matriarchy, Emirate, Grand Duchy, Jingoistic State, Armed Republic (though I suppose the Armed part can be argued on), Federal Republic, Peoples Republic
since that would contradict with the ideals of an Anarchy. And since we aren't a part of the once british empire we cannot be a Commonwealth or a Dominion.
I suppose we could be Federation since we would be self governing.
I wouldn't go for a Colony either because by who would we be colonised?
Imma go ahead end cross off United States and United Kingdom and Borderloands for obvious reasons.
We could go for a Democratic Republic I suppose - it would be rather boring though. Same would go for a Confederacy.
Theocracy - I'm fairly new to Smogoff so I don't know if we have some sort of god around here.
We are gonna go ahead and cross off United Socialist States since we aren't socialist nor a union of states, same for Democratic States.
Corssing off the rather boring ones - Free Land, Community Incorporated States - we are left with:
1. Disputed Territories
2. Normadic Peoples
3. Opressed Peoples
4. Rogue Nations

My choice here would be a Rogue Nation:
Wikipedia: " A rogue state otherwise known as an outlaw state is a term applied by some international theorists to states that they consider threatening to the world's peace. "

Which I think is very fitting.
