-Each round a generation will be randomly assigned to each pairing and you will have to conduct a Bo3 series in your gen. The last 4 battlers in the tournament (i.e. in the semi-final and finals) will have to do a Bo5 series in all of the 5 UU gens.

Why that rule? If it is an all generations tournament, it would be better to play all the 5 gens..

Wow, I just remembered how shallow the movepools were in Gen I. You basically had STAB (minus bug), sleep powder or T-Wave, Body Slam and Hyper Beam.
