The DPP Council has voted to ban Quick Claw. As this vote happened after the start of the DPP Cup's Round 1, Quick Claw will remain legal for the duration of Round 1 and will be banned starting in Round 2.

Normally this ban would be implemented onto the smogtours server starting at the beginning of next week. However, as Round 1 of every Cup lasts for 2 weeks, an update to the smogtours server would result in an inability to complete DPP Cup games with Quick Claw legal, as DPP Ubers lacks essential clauses (such as the freeze clause and the Soul Dew ban) and custom challenge formats are not permitted in official tournaments.

After discussion with Old Generation Tiering Leaders and PS Devs, the Quick Claw ban will not be implemented onto the sim until next week, meaning that Quick Claw will be possible to use on the main server for the rest of this week and on the smogtours server next week. Players must complete their DPP Cup games on the smogtours server starting on Monday July 10th so that Quick Claw can remain legal.

4 alts of a permabanned user were identified and banned. One of these alts had already won their set in the BW Cup. As stated in the policy on midround bans, this series will have the result overturned and the non-banned player will advance.
