That's a large part of it. My read on Drookez is POE and a little paranoia.

The choice is actually kind of simple too, former would bus in this spot and this would be a really random spot for drookez to fakeclaim unless he’s banking on getting to lylo and having town literally forget about that time a former wagon was derailed by a watcher guilty
