Keep in mind that Spiritomb is an absolute counter for Alakazam, being immune to both Psychic and Focus Blast, and is viable by itself in UU as a spinblocker as well. Alakazam would fit nicely in UU, IMO.

Also Utility Special Defender Drapion (or Skuntank) easily handle Alakazam only fearing random Trick. Even Offensive Calm Mind can't beat them anytime soon. So I don't really think that Alakazam will be that bad in UU with few solid counters, even in UU.

And with Nasty Plot Mismagius Special Defensive Drapion/Skuntank may get some more love ;).
