hello, what are the requirements for being able to use the sandbox feature? i have heard full account registration, which im pretty sure i have done, but it says i have insufficient permissions.
When Champions releases, will it replace SV as the default game gen 9 formats are based on, with all the legality changes (such as Megas returning) that come with it? Do we not have enough information yet?
Can you clarify what you mean by "changing Smogon's philosophy"? The way I saw it, it would just be like ORAS replacing XY upon its release.
Paraphrased/summarized, we focus on the mainline series of games that have inter-connectivity and, the ability to play with each other in battles over an internet connection. This is why something like Legends ZA (no pvp) or Pokemon BDSP (no inter-connectivity) were not considered "the main current generation". Nothing has been shown about Champions that would imply it is within the mainline series of games or that it is as equal (or superior in ORAS's case) next stage to SV in the way that HGSS or ORAS were to BW or XY. Champions isn't a remake of a previous game that is adding something (be it HGSS move tutors, ORAS new 'mons/megas, whatever) to the generation - everything shown so far appears to just be a "here's a novel new way to play online matches, now on your phone" as far as I can tell.
Is there an archive of every tier shift in each generation? I am specifically looking for the ones related to OU.

Hey there, I've recently gotten back into playing a bunch on PS and was wondering if there's hope of an old name retrieval. My old PS acc is of the same name as this forum one (Seech), and was last used like back in 2010-2011 - I tried using the in client help and it just led me to a 'You do not meet the criteria for the form', but doesn't tell me what that criteria is. If you have a proxy or VPN on it can sometimes do this. It could be to do with cache. It may also be to do with website traffic (though I doubt this is the case) or even a slight update to the site which has caused outage (again, doubt this!). The only other thing I can think of is if your country specifically blocks it and/or your wifi provider has?
I would recommend some of the following:
Clear cookies + browser cache.
Check to see if there is a proxy/vpn active and if it is, turn it off. Note that Opera has a built in one which sometimes causes issues.
If you have any plugins turned on, turn them off too (sometimes these can cause conflicts.
If all else fails! I do not have a proper answer but someone will!

1. You can use a gif. Though make sure the gif is the right format, fits the specifications and that the gif works. Sometimes when you download from a website etc they only save as a picture so best double check.
2. Please take a look at each forum sections rules. The answers will be there for posting and whether permission is needed or not.

How does the ELO subtraction system work in Pokémon Showdown? I'm referring to the fact that when you enter the Top Ladder with an ELO above 1500, this amount progressively decreases over time when you stop playing for a few days, regardless of the ELO...
I'd like to understand how this works. How much is the daily ELO that Pokémon Showdown subtracts while the player is not active? I've seen that there are players on the leaderboard whose ELO never decreases; in fact, it remains static at the same amount they left it at... I even know there are players who are inactive... I don't know if it's just me; it seems to me that I always see the same ELO number even if I check it several days later... So... Is there any way to prevent the ELO from decreasing?
