It's head exploding midair is such a nice touchHey guys i have gotten really interested in this project and started reading forum posts from 2013 to see the entire development! I am not caught up yet of course lol, but i saw that a month ago a really big batch ended up being finished. So i wanted to ask how much time usually passes between the finishing of sprites, and them getting added to Showdown?
Okay wait i thought that most of the recent sprite posts were made on the same day or in quick succession, which isn't true. The Pikachu hat batch for example was only posted yesterday, but from the ones i checked from a month ago, lots of them are already in the game, maybe all of them. My bad lol. Love what all of you do. Its gonna be really cool when basically all sprites and animations are finished and the next gen doesn't add as many Pokémon that will stick out by virtue off not having gone through the project.Who do I talk to to get the iron thorns sprite animation to work
Iron Thorns is implemented, there should be no issue. On showdown you'll need to select the option "Use 2D sprites instead of 3D models" found on the options menu at the top-right corner. You may also need to reset your browser cache for the assets to update on your end, but this isn't relevant since Iron Thorns was added a while ago. - uppa
Last edited by a moderator:Hi everyone! I'm new to the forum and I was wondering if it was possible to use this absolutely WONDERFULL sprites y' all made for a non-profit project of mine. I'm working on a rom hack that tries to combine competitive like battles (with advanced AI and trainers with well made teams) as well as some cool story like gen 5 games. I wanted to add some of the newest pokèmons and these sprites would help a LOT. Thank you :)Never mind, I found my answer in the first post. I somehow didn't read it before XD sorry. Extremely cool project and great work btw

This looks so awesome.Is there a file with a list of the completed animated sprites? I can only find the static sprites on page 1.
All sprites, both static and animated, are linked in the Google Document linked in the first post. You can find the animated sprites and links to other generations via the different tabs at the bottom — G.E.Z.
I'm sorry it seems that i still cannot find the animated sprites in the google doc, as it only seems to show png's and other static sprites. Sorry for the inconvenience

Mega Beedrill's movement is so fluid, I love Paldean Wooper's little smile, the Mega Medicham arm pose is sick, Helioptile's frill looks great, the Incineroar fist pump is a great idea and very in character, Ultra Necrozma's roar looks exquisite and almost one-for-one with the in-game battle intro and the form transitions on Zacian and Zamazenta look amazing just to name some standouts, but all of them look excellent!This is proof we're back on track to the best timeline.It is legitimately really cool to see the consistent progress that is being made, especially with all the background knowledge from having recently read through the threads fresh in my mind. Some of these sprites were finished in 2013 and are now getting animated which feels very special to me. My Highlights of this batch are the way that Zamazentas Shield clicks into place and the way Calyrex floats, which i assume must be from his battle model when he is on water? Definitely cooler than having him stand like a doofus lol. I smile when i get the notification of someone having posted in this thread
