Winners Bracket:
#1 FlamingVictini vs #16 Ciele - FV is no pushover in DPP and BW, but Ciele is far more seasoned in both of them and has ORAS experience to compete with anyone. Giving the edge to FV in ORAS because he's coming off a strong WCOP and he's definitely one of the most thorough builders and thinkers, but giving Ciele the edge in BW and DPP given his experience and success historically.
#2 FLCL vs #15 Eternal Spirit - Eternal Spirit is actually competent all around, even if he gives off the typical Brazilian soge-puppet vibe to some, but FLCL is one of the better players and plays some solid ORAS and BW. I think ES will have the dpp edge, but I don't think he will be able to beat FLCL in either of the others in a close series.
#3 Luigi vs #14 We Three Kings - both are solid all around, but Luigi is more experienced in the three newest generations than W3K who is more of a jack of all OU trades, so I'll favor Luigi even though it can go either way.
#4 Get this Money vs #13 pokebasket - despite being a stereotypical jaja player and user, pokebasket is actually a very competent OUer, especially in DPP, and I can see him holding his own in both of the other tiers. GTM is solid in ORAS for sure, but he will have trouble taking one of the other two.
#5 rozes vs #12 Sapientia - Sap is solid in GSC/ADV/DPP, but the problem is that only DPP is in this tour and Rozes has quickly learned the gist of BW and ORAS over the past 6 months or so. Favoring the NU player to take those two in an interesting series.
#6 Tamahome vs #11 MetalGro$$ - Metal is solid in BW and ORAS, but Tama is very good in DPP and he's a strong overall player that should have a good shot in BW and a decent shot in ORAS given that he has good teams and he plays as well as he can, so I'll take the odds on him beating metal in DPP and one of the others.
#7 Zamrock vs #10 BKC - Honestly Zamrock is the type to try and use something good VS BKC in BW and he will always be solid in ORAS, but BKC is simply the better and more experienced player that it's hard to pick against him here. If there's anyone who can pull a shocker of this magnitude, I suppose it is Zam tho.
#8 Conflict vs #9 Level 56 - Conflict is just really good at playing competitive Pokemon, regardless of the generation. He can DPP and BW at a high level and the other day he took like 3 of his ORAS games, so it'll be hard for a jack of all trades who specializes in Ubers to take 2/3 against him, imo.
Looking forward to some good games :o
