Although we're just doing quick-rises and quick-drops this month, I still felt that it was worth it to make a new thread in light of this policy decision (tl;dr--we're tiering megas separately now).

Note that this is ABSOLUTELY NOT THE THREAD to discuss that policy change.

Anyway, I've been super busy as of late, so the separate tiering and counting of mega formes has not been fully implemented across my stats scripts--it's all I could do to get it shoehorned into the tier update script. And even there, it's quite likely that there are bugs, so if you see something that looks wrong, say something, and I'll check it out. You can cross-check the numbers using this months' usage stats--just subtract the mega counts from the listed counts to get non-mega counts.

Recall:
  • We use 1695 stats for OU, 1630 otherwise
  • When there's a suspect test, we weight each ladder's stats based on the number of battles (so if OU suspect got 50k battles and OU regular got 150K, then OU regular would be given 75% of the weight)
  • To quick-rise this month, a Pokemon must have usage greater than 6.696700846%; to drop, less than 1.717940145%.

First off, the drop-criteria is 1.7% this month. Secondly, IIRC only Pokemon who got mega formes introduced in ORAS will get dropped more than one tier at once.
 
Okay, I think I got all the ORAS megas. There's still some other stuff with precedent based on what happened in the old system when they fell out of OU and got their megas placed in BL (Pinsir, namely). I don't remember where that stuff goes, but the staff who have been tracking this stuff are free to update my post.

Pinsir was NU, Medicham was RU.

I think everything else is correct.

I know they were, but that doesn't mean their megas were OU by usage. Pinsir-Mega was BL for the longest time, only moving up very recently.

Manectric was RU at the very start of XY; unfortunately I can't find any stats threads to prove that though.
 
It was Medicham, not Manectric. Antar when Mega Medicham fell below OU usage and was BL the second time it was quick dropped to RU, it should do the same in this situation (same with Pinsir). In fact both have been in those respective tiers more recently than the ORAS megas, so there is a stronger argument to drop them (well, at least imo).
 
Got a question: do some megas can drop from ou to UU, such as MTios which is rarely used in OU (0.261%) or MChomp?

FU is dead, but the stats and banlist don't match- apparently Vibrava is banned with 1.977% usage, along with a lot of other discrepancies like Gogoat, Murkrow etc.
