Randbats Spotlight Tournament
Welcome to the seventeenth bimonthly Spotlight Tour! This iteration will feature the recently elected Force of the Fallen Random Roulette format. This tournament is your chance to showcase your skills in Force of the Fallen Random Roulette in a single elimination best-of-3 series.
What is Force of the Fallen Random Roulette?
Random Roulette is that format where you will play in a randomly selected generation from 1 to 9, but Force of the Fallen adds an interesting twist! Once a pokemon is defeated, the last move in its moveset will be inherited by all its teammates, which means that sometimes sacking a pokemon can be a viable strategy to create an even more powerful monster in the back!
Prizes
The winner of the Spotlight Tournament will receive the Room Prize Winner rank in the Random Battles room for a month and the possibility to pick a format for the next Randbats Spotlight poll!
How does the tour work?
It’s simple:
1. Contact your opponent on their Smogon wall and decide on a time to battle.
2. Battle each other in the format “Force of the Fallen Random Roulette”. This format can be found under 'Randomized Format Spotlight', at the top of the third column. Alternatively, use /challenge Force of the Fallen Random Roulette.
3. The first player to 2 wins advances to the next round.
Note that this tournament will end before the next Randbats Spotlight Ladder commences, i.e., before January 2026. This will determine the pace of the tournament.
Please note:
1. All scheduling attempts MUST be done publicly on Smogon Walls. No other proof of communication will count for act calls regarding scheduling attempts.
2. You MUST post replays of your wins.
We strongly recommend familiarizing yourself with the Smogon Tournament Rules and General Guidelines, if you haven’t already. If you have further questions, don’t hesitate to contact the tour hosts, Ghostilex and 35Q71N here on Smogon.
If you're late and want to participate, post "in as sub" and you'll replace a random bye and receive an opponent for this week. The deadline for late signups is <t:1763010000:F>.
