Spritzee's impressive bulk, paired with its Fairy typing and resistances to Fighting- and Dark-type attacks, make it an important defensive presence in the Little Cup metagame. Spritzee is a reliable check to offensive threats such as Vullaby, Timburr, and Scraggy, and is one of the few Pokemon capable of switching into and checking the powerful Galarian Farfetch'd. Protect allows Spritzee to safely heal via Wish. Calm Mind allows Spritzee to set up against Pokemon which are unable to break through it, such as Timburr and Frillish, and function as a late-game win condition. Psychic prevents Poison-types like Mareanie from switching into Spritzee freely, while Encore prevents other Pokemon from setting up on Spritzee. This EV spread maximizes Spritzee's physical bulk and allows it to survive hits from the tier's most powerful physical attackers, including a +2 Crabhammer from Adamant Corphish without Stealth Rock almost always, and a +2 Brave Bird from Jolly Galarian Farfetch'd after Spritzee has had its Eviolite knocked off.

Spritzee is a helpful defensive partner for Pokemon that attract switch-ins of Timburr and Galarian Farfetch'd such as Onix, Ferroseed, Pawniard, and Munchlax. Spritzee and Ferroseed form the vaunted "Ferrospritz" tandem, one of the sturdiest and most reliable defensive cores in the tier. Spritzee can give free switch-in opportunities to powerful offensive threats such as Pawniard and appreciates partnering with checks to these Pokemon such as Galarian Farfetch'd and Timburr. If Spritzee runs Calm Mind, it appreciates checks to Ferroseed, Mareanie, and Cufant, as these Pokemon otherwise wall Spritzee.

  • De-slash Encore after Protect. Protect should stand alone.
  • Spritz's Speed tier is not that relevant, the last sentence can just talk about maximizing the bulk
  • The second paragraph gets a little messy. Heres how I would write it after the first two sentences (which are fine):
    • Spritzee can give free switch-in opportunities to powerful offensive Pokemon such as Gastly and Pawniard.
    • Mention some Gastly/Pawniard checks
    • If Calm Mind is run, checks to the Pokemon that wall Spritzee, such as X, are appreciated.
  • Essentially, make sure to go for concision and don't get bogged down by examples here.
Overall, really good work, 1/2

Slash Psychic before Encore in the 4th move slot. Important to be able to hit Gastly and Mareanie instead of giving mostly free switches.

Provide at least one specific example of what Spritzee's spread lets it survive.

In credits, you don't want to keep the <> parts, those are placeholders in the template. For example, the written by line would be "- Written by: [[KSG, 32350]]"

2/2

Spritzee and Ferroseed form the vaunted "Ferrospritz" tandem, one of the sturdiest and most-splashable most reliable defensive cores in the tier. (Standards indicate a preference to avoid "splashable" in our writing due to it having a specific meaning that doesn't apply to many Smogon analyses. I've tried to replace it with something that I think fits the same sentiment you're going for, but feel free to change this to something else if you prefer.) Spritzee can give free switch-in opportunities to powerful offensive threats such as Pawniard and appreciates partnering with checks to these Pokemon such as Galarian Farfetch'd and Timburr. Just for clarity on my comments re: "splashable" here is the comment on it from the official Grammar Standards page.
The word "splashable" should not be used to refer to Pokemon that fit on teams easily; it has a highly specific meaning ("can be used to power up an otherwise already completed deck / team even further without providing any substantial downsides in any situation") that does not work in a Pokemon context, and therefore it should be avoided in all Smogon writing (including articles).

Really great work on this analysis; I like it a lot. GP 1/1.

Thanks, Mafeking, I've implemented the GP. This should be ready for upload.
