Mudsdale @ Leftovers
Ability: Stamina
EVs: 252 HP / 192 Def / 64 SpD
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Toxic
- Protect

:mudsdale: is a strong answer to tauros as its ability in stamina raises its defense by +1 everytime tauros attacks mudsdale, mudsdale can also toxic tauros and put tauros on a timer and furthermore it can use protect to stall out a turn and regains some hp due to elftovers and in the same time the poison reks up tauros even more. mudsdale can also use earthquake to dish out a good amount of damage to tauros. in overall mudsdale is a good defensive answer and counters tauros.

calcs:
252 Atk Life Orb Sheer Force Tauros Body Slam vs. 252 HP / 192+ Def Mudsdale: 149-177 (36.8 - 43.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
252 Atk Life Orb Tauros Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 192+ Def Mudsdale: 108-127 (26.7 - 31.4%) -- 91.6% chance to 4HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
252 Atk Life Orb Sheer Force Tauros Throat Chop vs. 252 HP / 192+ Def Mudsdale: 94-110 (23.2 - 27.2%) -- possible 5HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

Sableye @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Encore
- Will-O-Wisp
- Knock Off
- Recover
Sableye is possibly the best COUNTER to Sf Lo Tauros. With Sableye's reliable recovery and the ability prankster will always one up a Tauros. Mainly because Sableye will always be able to switch on 3/4 tauroses moves, and will mostly always be able to get a will-o-wisp up mainly because of prankster. The ability prankster allows Sableye's non attacking moves to always move first, which makes Sableye a perfect counter to sf Tauros.
CALC:
Tauros Body Slam vs. Sableye: 0-0 (0 - 0%) -- possibly the worst move ever
Tauros Close Combat vs. Sableye: 0-0 (0 - 0%) -- possibly the worst move ever
Tauros Zen Headbutt vs. Sableye: 0-0 (0 - 0%) -- possibly the worst move ever
252 Atk Life Orb Sheer Force Tauros Throat Chop vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Sableye: 107-126 (35.1 - 41.4%) -- 75.5% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

0 Atk Sableye Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Tauros: 87-103 (29.8 - 35.3%) -- 24.7% chance to 3HKO item
0 Atk Sableye Knock Off vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Tauros: 58-69 (19.9 - 23.7%) -- possible 5HKO no item

Now lets do the calc if tauros is brned
252 Atk Sheer Force burned Tauros Throat Chop vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Sableye: 41-48 (13.4 - 15.7%) -- possibly the worst move ever

Jolly Nature

Nominating Passimian as a check. Passimian can come in vs Throat Chop and get a free Close Combat, but it needs to be wary of the other moves. Body Slam, Close Combat, and Zen Headbutt all 2HKOes Passimian, although thanks to Sheer Force, there's no fear of paralysis from Body Slam. Regardless, though, Passimian must be careful as it must keep its scarf in order to reliably threaten out Tauros.

252 Atk Life Orb Sheer Force Tauros Zen Headbutt vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Passimian: 268-317 (78.5 - 92.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO - This was actually the most surprising calc I found, that it could eat Zen Headbutt, but of course, it's still a huge chunk, and Passimian won't be able to pivot out much anymore if Stealth Rock is up.

252 Atk Passimian Close Combat vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Tauros: 386-456 (132.6 - 156.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO - The obligatory calc to prove that this Passimian should be able to reasonably threaten out Tauros.

Gurdurr @ Eviolite
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Adamant Nature
- Defog
- Drain Punch
- Knock Off
- Mach Punch

Gurdurr is a great offensive mon with good bulk thanks to Eviolite. Hold Taurus BSlam well which is his best trick here and then finish with DPunch and regenerate health + MPunch with priority if necessary. I've added Defog over Bup because I don't see an increment move needed in this match either.

252 Atk Life Orb Sheer Force Tauros Body Slam vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Eviolite Gurdurr: 149-177 (39.8 - 47.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Vileplume @ Black Sludge
Ability: Effect Spore
EVs: 248 HP / 164 Def / 96 Spe
Bold Nature
- Giga Drain
- Strength Sap
- Sludge Bomb
- Growth

Alright so this thing tanks any hit from Tauros and can Strength Sap the Attack out of him. It can even use a -x Attack Tauros as set up fodder and use Growth while tanking Tauros' hits. Defensive Plume is actually one of the best checks out there against Tauros.

So here's how I see it throwing down:

Tauros uses Zen Headbutt it does 72%:
252 Atk Life Orb Sheer Force Tauros Zen Headbutt vs. 252 HP / 160+ Def Vileplume: 216-255 (61 - 72%)

Vileplume uses Strength Sap and it heals 100%. Now Tauros is at -1 where he hits:
-1 252 Atk Life Orb Sheer Force Tauros Zen Headbutt vs. 252 HP / 160+ Def Vileplume: 146-172 (41.2 - 48.5%)

And at -2: -2 252 Atk Life Orb Sheer Force Tauros Zen Headbutt vs. 252 HP / 160+ Def Vileplume: 109-130 (30.7 - 36.7%)

Then Vileplume can easily 2HKO with Sludge Bomb and/or use Growth: 0 SpA Vileplume Sludge Bomb vs. 0 HP / 0- SpD Tauros: 157-186 (53.9 - 63.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Will-O-Wisp
- Strength Sap
- Stealth Rock
- Night Shade / Power Gem

Corsola-Galar is a fat mon who not only is immune to two of the moves Tauros can click, but uses Will-O-Wisp and Strength Sap to 1v1 Tauros. On top of this, Cursed Body can completely prevent Tauros from using one of the two remaining moves it has to actually touch Corsola (more likely Throat Chop). Although Night Shade doesn't do any damage to Tauros, the repeated saps stacking from the halved attack due to burn classifies Corsola-Galar as a check to Tauros. (Power Gem is simply an alternative to Night Shade to hit Burn absorbers such as Centiskorch and Charizard).

This is not a counter because Corsola-G (unless defense-invested) cannot switch into Tauros since it is comfortably 2HKOd by Throat Chop, assuming it did not get disabled. However, Corsola-G on a free switch-in, comfortably 1v1s Tauros in every other scenario.

252 Atk Life Orb Sheer Force Tauros Throat Chop vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Eviolite Corsola-Galar: 164-195 (50.6 - 60.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
-1 252 Atk Life Orb Sheer Force Tauros Throat Chop vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Eviolite Corsola-Galar: 109-130 (33.6 - 40.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Ability: Fluffy
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
- Close Combat
- Darkest Lariat
- Swords Dance
- Double-Edge

(RU SD with CC over Drain Punch)

This Pokemon requires a bit of prediction to get in and check Tauros, as CC 2hkoes flatly, however, if Bewear is switched in on any of the other moves, it can survive that and a single Close Combat to OHKO with one of its own.

252 Atk Life Orb Sheer Force Tauros Body Slam vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Fluffy Bewear: 119-140 (31.1 - 36.6%) -- 70.2% chance to 3HKO

252 Atk Life Orb Sheer Force Tauros Zen Headbutt vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Fluffy Bewear: 148-175 (38.7 - 45.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

252 Atk Life Orb Sheer Force Tauros Throat Chop vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Fluffy Bewear: 37-44 (9.6 - 11.5%) -- possible 9HKO

After a Body Slam with max possible damage, CC still is a 2hko:

252 Atk Life Orb Tauros Close Combat vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Fluffy Bewear: 170-201 (44.5 - 52.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

CC after Zen Headbutt:

252 Atk Life Orb Tauros Close Combat vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Fluffy Bewear: 170-201 (44.5 - 52.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Bewear's CC:

252 Atk Bewear Close Combat vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Tauros: 396-468 (136 - 160.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Counter. Tauros has a hard time hitting this thing outside of Throat Chop, which once it does, activates Wandering Spirit and gives it to Tauros while this gets Sheer Force. Throat Chop then does laughable damage in addition to LO recoil. Rune then uses Body Press or EQ to handle Tauros:

Checks
Jellicent and Bewear
I really like the idea of Colbur Berry Jellicent being able to will-o-wisp Tauros, then continuously Strength Sap until it's forced to switch. It could also potentially be useful against other things, so Jellicent fits really well on balance teams.

Bewear is also a cool breaker that can Drain Punch on Tauros, gaining quick recovery while walling its moves effectively. This makes it an excellent bulky attacker.
Counters
Mudsdale and Sableye
Mudsdale is a good physically defensive wall that almost makes Tauros impractical thanks to Stamina, forcing switches and possibly crippling a switch-in with Toxic. Mudsdale usually always wants recovery, so Protect scouting for moves and gaining Leftovers recovery is always nice.

Sableye is super fun to use. Like Jellicent, he can wear down Tauros pretty easily with will-o-wisp and continue to spam Recover, while only having one weakness to Fairy-type that is dealt with using teammates.
