[OVERVIEW]

Braviary is one of the most efficient revenge killers in STABmons thanks to its combination of Fake Out and Extreme Speed backed up with some decent stats and Defiant. With Defiant, Braviary isn't forced out by Intimidate users such as Gyarados and Landorus-T and is able to pressure Defoggers and ignore any King's Shield Attack drops. Defiant also gives Braviary its niche over other Normal-types such as Ursaring, Mega Lopunny and Stoutland, which would otherwise outclass it. Compared to Mega Lopunny, Braviary's Speed tier isn't the best, meaning it can be easily beaten by faster Pokemon that resist both of its STAB moves. Braviary is also a pretty one-dimensional Pokemon, allowing it to be easily played around at times; furthermore, it is threatened by Stealth Rock.

Dragon Ascent is pretty spammable and hits a lot of defensive walls, such as Hippowdon, harder than Fake Out and Extreme Speed. Lastly, Superpower allows Braviary to hit Steel-types, which would otherwise wall it due to its two STAB moves being unable to break through them.

Braviary's niche lies in its ability to take advantage of Defiant and not be easily threatened by common moves and abilities such as King's Shield and Intimidate. Braviary's EV spread and nature maximize its power and allow to hit a variety of defensive Pokemon. Silk Scarf is the preferred item, as it boosts the power of Fake Out and Extreme Speed, allowing Braviary to revenge kill much more efficiently. Life Orb is an option to give Braviary's other STAB and coverage moves more power.

Usage Tips
========
Braviary is one of the most reliable revenge killers out there, since it isn't easily forced out by Pokemon like Landorus-T and Ferrothorn. Dragon Ascent breaks down a ton of bulky Pokemon to be finished by other Pokemon. Momentum-gaining moves such as U-turn, Volt Switch, Baton Pass, and Healing Wish give Braviary a chance to revenge kill Pokemon with its priority moves or hit something really hard with Dragon Ascent. Due to this set's lack of Roost, it gets easily worn down by Rough Skin, Rocky Helmet, and Iron Barbs, so it's best to try to avoid them.

Team Options
========

Entry hazard removers such as Defog Landorus-T, Defog Latios, and even Rapid Spin Starmie all aids Braviary's longevity by removing Stealth Rock. Special wallbreakers such as Mega Charizard Y and Meloetta are also great partners because they can easily break through a lot of physically defensive Pokemon like Mega Slowbro and Rotom-W. Pivots such as Rotom-W and Rotom-H are options to give Braviary a free switch in.

Other Options
=============

Outside of being a top-notch revenge killer in STABmons, Braviary doesn't have much going for it, as other Pokemon can easily fulfill other roles it can attempt to perform. Braviary can run a Choice Band set to hit defensive Pokemon harder, but this isn't recommended, as Braviary needs the freedom to be able to use its coverage moves when it wants to. Braviary gets Tailwind but usually lacks the moveslot to use it effectively. Swords Dance is another option that could be used over Fake Out to make Braviary a threatening sweeper rather than a revenge killer. U-turn is a great tool for Braviary to get momentum for the rest of the team but is usually inferior to Baton Pass, which can pass off boost from Defiant or either Swords Dance or Bulk Up to another Pokemon. Recover can allow Braviary to live longer. However, these sets are not as successful because running Baton Pass with Bulk Up or Swords Dance causes Braviary to forgo an essential coverage move, and running Recover compromises Braviary's power or its bulk.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fast Rock-types**: Pokemo nsuch as Terrakion, Mega Diancie, and Choice Scarf Tyranitar can switch in on one of Braviary's priority moves and either threaten it to switch out or OHKO it with their respective STAB moves.

**Rocky Helmet**: Rocky Helmet hinders Braviary from spamming its attacks, as all the moves Braviary utilizes make contact. Pokemon such as Landorus-T, Garchomp, and Skarmory often run this item. However, Landorus-T must be careful, as it takes more damage due to Intimidate giving Braviary a +1 Attack boost.

**Steel-types**: Pokemon such as Skarmory, Excadrill, and Mega Scizor can handle Braviary, although Excadrill should be wary of Superpower. Mega Scizor and Excadrill can also easily set up on Braviary with Swords Dance.

**Ghost-types**: Gengar is able to switch in on Braviary's Fake Out and Extreme speed due to its immunity to Normal-type moves and can hit back really hard. Mega Sableye is able to tank a hit and get Will-O-Wisp off to cripple it and then recover the damage it takes.

• This hits all the main points but I'd also add that it's very one-dimensional. You always know what it's up to and thus if you have a solid physical wall (without Intimidate) you're generally in a good position to handle it one-on-one.

Set 1 - FakeSpeed

• Standard set, good.
• Don't forget under Usage Tips to remind the player that Defiant ignores King's Shield.
• For hazard support teammates, Braviary works well with stacking teams thanks to Defiant's pressure on Defog users.
• I'd emphasize that the wallbreakers help it bypass physical walls specifically.

Other Options

• Swords Dance can fit on Fake Speed sets (usually over Superpower).
• Baton Pass can work over U-turn for handing off Defiant boosts when Braviary is unable to guarantee a KO on the target. Also helps scout without taking chip damage from Garchomp/Ferrothorn.

Overview
It's pretty minor but make sure that "Extreme Speed" is two words. Describe Defiant in more detail, as it's a massive part of Braviary's niche and one of its major advantages over other Normal-types (its secondary Flying-type being the other one). You can add that it activates if you double into an Intimidate user, that it allows you to take advantage of Defog, and that Braviary can ignore King's Shield drops. Yeah 123 Attack isn't really that noteworthy, so be sure to mention the high Base Power of Dragon Ascent as integral to Braviary's power. Low base Speed isn't really too much of an issue for Normal-types but I guess you can mention that faster attackers that resist Extreme Speed can often beat it easily. Mention competition with Mega Lopunny and maybe Stoutland as well. Finish the Overview on a good note: Braviary might be predictable and suffers from heavy competition, but it does have some seriously noteworthy traits!

Set
Change the name, FakeSpeed isn't used in C&C because of its informality. Go for something like "Revenge Killer" instead, or even "Fake Out + Extreme Speed" since that's an accepted term. Revenge Killer describes Braviary's role more adequately though. Slash Silk Scarf, maybe even in front of Life Orb: recoil on Fake Out is incredibly annoying, even more so with Braviary's Stealth Rock weakness. Personally I'd remove LO altogether but that's up to you.

Moves
Be sure to mention that Fake Out and Extreme Speed are used together to revenge kill foes. Add that Dragon Ascent hits defensive walls such as Hippowdon harder than Braviary's Normal STAB in one go, but is weaker than Fake Out + Extreme Speed if Braviary is wielding a Silk Scarf. Superpower hits Rock-types such as Tyranitar and Terrakion as well.

Set Details
Talk about Defiant! It's really important to Braviary. Describe the item that Braviary is holding. The Analysis Formatting Guide gives "Describe the other aspects of the set such as what the EVs do and nature/item", which should definitely all be touched on in this section.

Usage Tips
This section should be a lot bigger in general. Things about when to revenge kill, such as coming in after teammates have fainted and with the use of a pivoting move is helpful here. Add more descriptions of Braviary's specific moves: Dragon Ascent should be used to break down bulky walls, while Superpower should be used to KO Rock- and Steel-types, preferably on the switch-in. Add avoiding Rough Skin, Iron Barbs, and Rocky Helmet damage here as well. It's kinda hard to 'be wary of entry hazards', this isn't something to consider for the Braviary user themselves because they cannot actually avoid Stealth Rock damage. This is more Team Options material.

Team Options
Just wanted to note that the entry hazard is called Stealth Rock, not Stealth Rocks. You can have them as clear paragraphs now, but generally make sure that the resulting paragraph when you've written this up is understandable and flows easily. Anyway: if you describe a role to support Braviary you need to name some specific Pokemon. Mention hazard removers with good synergy such as Defog Landorus-T, as well as more offensive ones such as Defog Latios and Rapid Spin Starmie. You need to name specific hazard setters such as Stealth Rock Garchomp and Spikes Klefki as well, and why they break down Braviary's checks and counters well, or switch into Pokemon that threaten it. Ok so why are these wallbreakers good partners? It's hard to understand the dex if it's not giving information about offensive synergy. You've also named special wallbreakers here, describe why they're good for Braviary. Be careful around Hoopa-U as well; it may potentially be banned from OU and thus from STABmons soon. You can also talk about some specific types that beat down Braviary's checks and counters. Also both Normal- and Flying-types can put a lot of pressure on the opponent in conjunction with Braviary in a kind of -spam playstyle. Offensive support seems like an odd category. Braviary isn't the kind of Pokemon that thrives on free switches, because it has nothing to do after it comes in other than using Fake Out. I'd rather you add Lunar Dance users, which allow Braviary to heal after it takes damage. You also need to add a category of Pokemon with pivoting moves, such as U-turn Landorus-T, Volt Switch Rotom-W, and Parting Shot Sableye. Don't actually use these Pokemon though because they're the three I always use lol

Other Options
Yeah it's mediocre but Choice Band Braviary does utilise Extreme Speed well, and it breaks down some walls really quickly. Swords Dance is going to be run over Fake Out if anything, the coverage is vital for Braviary. Baton Pass is cool because passing Defiant boosts can make a huge difference late-game, I can't really describe it as outclassed. Defog is bad because Braviary is weak to Stealth Rock and not especially bulky, and honestly it's going to use Rapid Spin anyway if it wants to clear hazards. Tailwind is fine to mention but Braviary almost never finds a moveslot to use it, maybe as filler on CB? Speaking of fillers, U-turn is great for pivoting out, Head Charge gives Braviary a strong Normal-type STAB, and Explosion allows Braviary to hit walls such as Rotom-W and Mega Slowbro hard.

Checks and Counters
Put the Water-types under Physical Walls, the distinction really isn't strong enough. Add things such as Skarmory, Gyarados, and bulky Mega Scizor here. Porygon2 is a little iffy because Superpower hits pretty hard so note that if you want but honestly it's really fat and can still wall Braviary. A lot of these Pokemon fear Swords Dance too so mention that at the end of the category. Don't really like the idea of Keldeo and Kyurem-B being here, they hate Fake Out + Extreme Speed. Combine Terrakion and the others into "Faster Pokemon and Choice Scarf Users that resist Normal" or similar, maybe just "Faster Pokemon that resist Normal" or something. This category should be fairly big with things like Terrakion, Mega Diancie, Jirachi, Aerodactyl, Excadrill, Choice Scarf Heatran, Choice Scarf Tyranitar, Choice Scarf Magnezone, etc. Finally (or not finally necessarily, the order is up to you) add Residual Damage, as Braviary is worn down extremely quickly by Stealth Rock, Iron Barbs, Rough Skin, Rocky Helmet, sandstorm, etc. damage.

The first CnC is too clunky - I would separate them into Fast Rock-types (Scarf TTar, Terrak, and M-Diance) and Ghost-types (Gengar, M-Sable). Also you should include Steel-types in general (Skamory, M-Scizor, Excadrill) as they can set-up on you mostly, although the latter needs to be careful of Superpower.
