Resource Stadium Bug Report Thread

when a pokemon a pokemon is confused it will say which move it used regardless of whether or not it hits itself this is not present on showdown

Video proof here (cw flashing lights).

Also, confusion is bugged on the simulator in another way. At present, if you are confused and asleep you are able to hit yourself while asleep and you fail to burn a sleep turn. Correct behavior is like regular RBY, confusion is paused while asleep and does not self-hit nor burn turns off the confusion timer.

Video proof of how it works in Stadium here (again flashing lights).

Replay of it being bugged, turn 37 on: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-gen1stadiumou-702668

Stadium Partial Trapping is broken. From this article:

Two things are wrong from the clamp interaction in this replay:
1. On turn 12, we were both notified that clamp ended, while the article states "neither player knows whether partial trapping will continue" so this should not have been the case.
2. On turn 14 I switched Zapdos into Clamp and the turn did not end (meaning Zapdos still got hit by clamp) which contradicts "In the event either Pokémon switches out, the turn instantly ends unless the other Pokémon is also switching"

This should be adressed ASAP since the cart changes heavily nerf partial trapping in Stadium, which is not reflected on sim.

Gen 1 stadium counter is actually more fucked than we thought.

it is NOT a patched version of gen 1 counter. It is specifically set to fail on switch turns. Proof of damage storage tomfoolery.

Wait- so does this mean counter works on stuff like hyper beam recharge still?

Sorry for ass footage, but I tested it using NSO, and this appears to not be the case:

While its generally frowned upon to use emulators/ports for mechanical testing, this is all i have an honestly i doubt they would fix a mechanic no one would ever notice 20 years later on nintendo's latest slop subscription service theyre selling to their fans.

No clue why exactly it behaves like this. Maybe it thinks recharging is an action while burning sleep turns isnt? I'll test with paralysis later if not beat to it and return with answers.

Tested with paralysis when selecting a counterable move and confusion both selecting a counterable and uncounterable move.

Confusion Self Hit = Always Counterable
Paralysis = Never Counterable

I honestly have no clue why this happens even after over 10 hours of thinking about it. Someone much smarter than me can figure it out.
