Do keep in mind guys that staffing a room isn't necessarily mutually exclusive with posting in it. I post the least in Roleplaying room, but I actually spend the most time watching that of all my chats. Should I be kicked because I didn't post and we had no spammers for me to moderate in 1 hour? This whole thing seems like an unnecessary feature, people also often lurk to see who highlighted them from earlier and allow their names to be clickable for PMs for them to later read. Auto-kick unfortunately removes both those things.
 
This seems like a good idea on face value but problems arise such as what about staff that moderate the rooms but haven't been needed for a while? This would cause them to be kicked out of rooms for no reason and cause them unnecessary annoyance. Also what about users who are laddering? It'd be quite a shame if your kicked out of a room just cos your battling. Also a lot of global staff moderate rooms when their staff are not online for one reason or another so being kicked out of a room your meant to be moderating is counter productive to be honest
I did say about staff that jump between rooms being immune to this, so if it was made, say drivers and above (possibly voices) were not affected by this. Also, your point about battlers. Surely, having been "kicked out" of a room they were inactive in, all they would have to do would be rejoin the room which isn't exactly difficult. You wouldn't be kicked off the server, purely back into the menu to select which room you want to be in, so you can easily rejoin once you have been removed
 
Ninety_Nine if you're not talking or doing anything at all in a room for 1/2 hours, then that system works. All it would take is someone perhaps having a mode /auto back (another option could be disabling it totally for global staff). Even if you're battling for an hour, you should try to use an alt for serious battling or at least do something in the rooms you're supposed to be in.

Being kicked is also not ideal. Having the name greyed out like some IRC clients would be much better.

I agree having the name faded or grey would be ideal
 
I don't know if this has been suggested already (CBA reading through 71 pages of requests), but i think people should be "Timed out" in their rooms. What I mean by this is that if someone has not posted in the chat for a certain amount of time (Say 1 hour) , they should be kicked out of the room, therefore you can actually monitor how many active users there are in a chat room rather than there being so many inactive accounts. This obviously wouldn't apply to moderators as they jump between rooms depending on the situation
What is the applicable use of having this information? For room deletion if rooms aren't pulling enough numbers?
 
It doesn't really have any practical use. You can just check the chat to see if a room is thriving. It could be nice to have for staff to see if they're afk with a greyed out username.

I guess a greyed out username is slightly more practical than just kicking people out of the room
 
why are tailwind turns not listed with other field conditions such as drizzle and trick room? in doubles it's very annoyin since you have to keep track of tailwind turns manually and then notice the little line that says tailwind is done (somethin ive missed more than once when a lot of people are chatting in my battle). it would make sense for the sake of continuity, and it make things simpler for the player too

I believe this has been brought up before and acknowledged by a programmer (perhaps it was The Immortal ), I'm not sure if it is a change that has been decided to be implemented. If it is, perhaps it is just a low priority change.
 
I would guess the only reason they're not implemented already is they need two counters (one for each player). And yeah I'd assume it's already planned.

You can also do /eff move, pokemon e.g. /eff earthquake, magnezone = earthquake is 4x effective against magnezone

Some way to check PP of the opponent other than counting? As a stall player i often resort to PP stalling and it can be hard to keep track of sometimes.. I'm sure I'm not the only one!

While thankfully it's pretty rare, sometimes a person get wrongly locked (often due to tabcomplete fails) and subsequently locked from talking in the autoconfirmed lobby environment. Since those people haven't done anything wrong other than being apart of someone else's mistake. Having some sort of command or system to let them talk in autoconfirmed would be a way to remedy the unfairness of that situation.

Pretty sure admins can do this, so in the unlikely situation this would happen, you could just PM an Administrator on here on on PS. This command wouldn't be used enough to be that useful.

I think this was on one of Zarel's to-do lists but still hasn't been put in yet. Also, after being locked and unlocked, the way you become autoconfirmed again is just to log out and log back in.

So you're looking for a /resist command yes? I can see this being implemented perhaps in the future. I'm just an amateur but I could look into making this myself should Zarel want it on the sim.

This has been suggested before, but unfortunately probably won't happen because it it quite expensive to get music on PS.
 
I want "Free for all" gamemode to Pokemonshowdown. I rly like FFA battles and it is more fun than normal battles, nbut it is not that competive.

Costum Games already exist but there is no ladder. Hackmons might be your best bet lol
