Super Smash Brothers Brawl - Request a Brawl Thread

I'm still juggling a few assignments, but, at the moment, I have some Brawl time! :D

Anyone up for a few matches? (I'll have to leave in 2 hours or so...to go eat and work some more, but depending on how much I get done, I'll come back later tonight.)
 
Looking for a match. Now that I'm done unlocking every song/stage/character (50 hours of Brawl for one song is surprisingly hard when you have no one else to play with) and completing SSE and event challenges on Intense/Hard respectfully, I have alot more time for WiFi.
 
Hopefully, you'll catch this post JerryBeans, the next time you're on smogon! :D

Those were some good games! Not sure why you changed the stock from 3 to 2 though. Hope to battle you again soon! ^_^
 
Good matches epic. But dear lord, how do you deal with that delay? It practically neuters Sonic and especially Falco because I can't do any even semi-advanced techniques on you like SHL and Chain Grabbing (you probably noticed my failed attempts to SHL when I jumped up in place many times and did nothing). Honestly, I felt really helpless and as if I was only playing to half of my full potential. During those later matches I was less concerned with beating you and more concerned with mastering the delay (and trying to figure out why the hell I keep turning around randomly in the opposite direction every time I short hop.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
 
Good matches, Roger. You're really hard to beat, lol. I shoulda won the second to last match, though; that random 30 seconds of lag threw off my timing for Peach's UpB.

I'll play whoever is available.

Whew, those were some good games, Thunderhorse. You play a very good Sonic, Falco, Marth, and PT man (Ivysaur was your strongest of the three). You are particularly good at ledge hogging, as I found out more than a few times when you denied me the edge lol.

Seems that today I had some problems with getting my attacks to go in the direction I want them to and I just blew horribly on teleport recovery with Zelda.

Thanks a ton for the games man, they were hella fun. They let me test out some characters against a very good player.

Oh, lol, so I wasn't the only one having the delay lag then. To be honest, it was hurting me too, as I wasn't able to dodge half of the stuff that I would usually end up dodging, especially in the air, or counter attack as efficiently. I pretty much just pressed the buttons earlier then I usually would, that's why sometimes you'd see me sidestep a few times when you weren't even around. That's the only way to deal with it. Brawl's engine is slightly weak, that when you input things to fast, a lot of the time your attacks just wind up going in the wrong direction. It's harder for it too keep up with your inputs when the game is running slower.

Ironically, my best Pokemon normally is Charizard, and Ivysaur is usually (by a huge margin. Ask quinnydinny) my worst <_<.

lol, and my last post did come off a bit negative, so I do want to point out that despite my technical difficulties (and yours too after reading your edit), they were still very fun matches, and you're still as good as you ever were.

Though I could've sworn you either mained Pit or Jigglypuff (might be getting you confused with Maku, but I KNOW one of you had a killer Jigglypuff).

That killer Jigglypuff is Maku's. I'm the awesome Pit main. But when you mix the two together you get rapage! I didn't play most of my main people since I've been testing out a few select new characters.

Good games as usual, Dunk. Which one of those characters did you think I did best with overall? I'm thinking of picking up two or three of them and actually working on them instead of just selecting them on the screen.

Same question for you Thunderhorse, if you guys don't mind answering.

Yep, that killer Jigglypuff is indeed mine! :D (I'm rather proud of her!)

So proud, that I'm officially making Jiggly my MAIN!!!! (Sorry Wolf, but you're, as of now, second seat.) =P

So Thunderhorse, since we haven't battled in a while, you wanna have a match or two? I can only stay for about an hour. Gotta study for a test tomorrow, but I'll be back online later tonight!

but I just had a bunch of matches with DWC

and I have some sick matches.
Hope he lets me put them up :DDD

I never liked your wolf (actually not yours, just any wolf), so hearing that Jiggs is taking over is magic. She's buffed with hacks whenever you play her.

And Ivysaur is the best!!!
 
Mr Escalator, I'd be happy to battle you again. I'm actually trying really hard to find a match at the moment, and you're fun to play against.

Plus I like having my name on YouTube.

EDIT: Actually, I have to play Magmortified at the moment, but I still want to play you. Can we schedule a later time please?
