Really glad with how the meta turned out to be! Even with the mod closing subs now, I can still see tons of development going into forming a fun metagame. Tours shall also be planned in order to playtest the final metagame. Up next, discussion phase! Really looking forward to people's thoughts on the metagame's closure. Now let us begin discussing the winners while they haven't been coded yet, and the overall current state of the meta!

I wanted to maker a winners post, but I also have nothing to say in a winners post, but I also don’t want to not make a winners post because we’re approaching 8 hours without one and I don’t want this thread to die off again just yet, so I’m just dumping my takes from earlier into the thread for posterity.

The only thing unmentioned in there and the only thing I feel like I can actually say something of value about is Plubium Z, which is a very direct buff to Plubia, a mon that was previously mediocre in most cases, so this should help to up its viability and usage. That said, Plubia happened to be one of the best checks to dominant threats like Beheeyem and especially base Gengar pre-hiatus, which means that this buff also helps it to act as a more splashable answer to both when teambuilding. It’s also cool flavour-wise, highlighting the fact that Plubia is locked in a perpetual state of Gen 7 much like Ledian is locked in Gen 3, which is something that wasn’t apparent (or even noticeable) in play until now.
