As I promised, lemmie break down the hot new drops

1561933946856-png.183711

Porygon2 can serve as a great defensive wall with Eviolite, giving the tier one of many reliable checks to Alolan Mega Gengar. Access to Levitate means it avoids being trapped by pinch, and Analytic + Eviolith can transform it into a deceptively powerful wallbreaker. It's part Normal typing is unfortunate against top metagame threat Mega Lopunny, but it still can serve as a potent wall.

Porygon2 @ Eviolite
EVs: 252 HP / 104 Def / 152 SpD
Ability: Levitate
Calm Nature
- Recover
- Discharge / Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam / Foul Play
- Toxic / Thunder Wave

Similar set as in standard, just with newer options like STAB Discharge to punish offensive threats.

1561934756650-png.183714

Idk. I was really gunning for Lileep to get in, but now we have Florges, which can fill the role as a bulky Grass type. The main advantage it has over Florges is Storm Drain, Stealth Rock and a much higher defense, which it can exploit to its advantage.

Lileep-Eternal @ Leftovers
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Ability: Storm Drain
Bold Nature
- Recover
- Algae Allure
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic / Giga Drain / Earth Power

Classic physically defensive SR user which also can function as a check to Doublade Alola and AbNormal Mega Lopunny. Algae Allure serves as its only Water STAB but serves its purpose well.

1561935162502-png.183719

Florges will most likely go down as a very game defining Pokémon in Smash. It has stellar bulk, which will allow it to easily check various Water types that are running around in the meta. Its access to utility like Wish, Leech Seed, Defog, Heal Bell and Strength Sap allow it to support its team well, and its no pushover offensively either. 145 SpA ensures it will never be a passive Pokemon, and it may be able to pull of a wonky offensive set, though that suffers from poor coverage and a Monotyped Grass typing. That being said, Florges isnt here to play around and it will be an important addition to the roster.

Florges @ Leftovers
EVs: 252 HP / 24 Def / 232 SpD
Ability: Flower Shield
Calm Nature
- Defog
- Giga Drain
- Wish / Strength Sap
- Heal Bell / Leech Seed

Until the metagame is finalised, I'll be sticking with 252 252 bulk on Florges. Once it is, it's EV spread can be optimized to fully operate within the meta. This set right here is just a classic utility Florges, being a great defogger with a positive matchup with most of the hazard setters in the tier.

1561936445954-png.183721

Goodra is so bulky it serves as the Chansey of this metagame, practically impossible to kill specially without some boosting. It more than any Pokémon submitted for far basically invalidates the existence of Mega Gengar, which is great cuz that was prebanned for some reason. Its only drawback is that it does not offer any real utility outside of Toxic and Knock Off, which, depending on how the final metagame takes, may or may not be enough. (If its the only defensive Poison or Dragon type added then this point will most likely not matter).

Goodra @ Black Sludge
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Ability: Thick Fat
Bold Nature
- Rinse Off
- Sludge Bomb
- Incinerate
- Dragon Rage / Dragon Tail

Goodra has so much natural special bulk it should be able to afford heavily investing in its weaker defensive stat. I chose this over Assault Shield / Vest variants since the ability to sustain its recovery is key for Goodra, as otherwise it would be easily worn down throughout the course of the match with hazards and repeated switching into attacks. This set can tackle Pokemon like Mega Lopunny while still confortably handle assault from special attackers like Alolan Gengar.

1561936830260-png.183724

This boy is a certified threat. Wishiwashi fills the role of a powerful slow bulky wallbreaker far better than any other addition so far, with its skyhigh 140 Attack backed by Swords Dance and STAB priority. Its signature item Graduation Scale takes it to another level, augmenting its bulk and power with Intimidate and a x1.2 boost to Water type attacks respectively. It finally also has an actual Speed tier, letting it invest to outpace walls. Unfortunately it still has plenty of problems. Its signature item limits it from running other items like Choice Specs, Waterium Z or lure based Z-Crystals effectively, as the lack of Intimidate would immediately give it away. It has multiple defensive checks present in the meta, nanely everything else subbed on this list, Nihilego and Doublade to some extent. And while its speed tier and coverage is much better, it still is severely lacking and can leave the user feeling a bit underwhelmed.

Wishiwashi @ Graduation Scale
EVs: 252 Atk / 96 Def / 164 Spe
Ability: Schooling
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Aqua Jet
- Submission / Earthquake
- Waterfall

I gave it MMawile's standard EV spread, and basically has SD Aqua Jet sweeper slash wallbreaker.

Type:
Dragon.png
/
Normal.png

Abilities: Shed Skin, Marvel Scale
Additional moves: Ardent Strike
Ardent Strike: Physical 90 BP, 15 PP, 100% accurate Dragon move, ignores immunities
Description: A menacing bulky sweeper/Extreme Speed spammer with good stats and powerful moves that can check the almighty Gengar-Alola as well as Goodra. Fairies are the key to taking it down: Mega Lopunny and Baloon do so nicely. Steel types such as Doublade-Alola are also bothersome for it.

Pokémon: Pinthim
Mod of Origin: Fusion Evolution
Stats: 77 / 119 / 85 / 84 / 70 / 85 (520, 77 / 149 / 105 / 94 / 90 / 105 in Mega)
Type:

in Mega)
Abilities: Pristine Lens, Aerilate in Mega
Pristine Lens: This Pokemon's attacks deal double damage if resisted or if they target a Pokemon whose ability would be affected by Mold Breaker.
Additional moves: Pinsir and Mothim's movepools combined
Description: The recently added walls getting you down in the dumps? Try out Pinthim, which can take them all on with ease thanks to its ability. In addition, seeing as this is a micro-meta, Mega Pinthim isn't outclassed and could actually be pretty good!

delibird.gif

Pokémon: Delibird
Mod of Origin: Cool Funky Mode
Stats: 50 / 85 / 40 / 95 / 80 / 110 (460 BST)
Type:
Ice.png
/
Flying.png

Abilities: Vital Spirit, No Guard, Refrigerate
Additional/Modified moves: Blizzard, Brave Bird, Cross Chop, Hurricane, Icicle Crash, Present, Seed Bomb, Sing, -Spikes
Blizzard: 120 BP
Cross Chop: 85% accurate
Hurricane: 120 BP, never misses in Rain or Hail. When used by an Ice type in Hail, 10% chance to freeze rather than confuse
Icicle Crash: 90 BP, 100% accurate
Present: 90 BP, 100% accurate Normal move. 15% chance to be 120 BP and 5% chance to be 150 BP. Heals allies by 50% in Doubles.
Seed Bomb: 85 BP, 20% chance to lower Defense
Description: It's ya boy Delibird coming at you with a very unique skillset, including a fairly speedy, 100% accurate Sleep move, powerful No Guard coverage and a still gimmicky, yet potentially useful Refrigerate Present. Ice/Flying and meh stats keep it in check while still letting it pull off its niche.

Item: Swap Sail
Mod of Origin: Itemized
Effect: When held by Amaura or Aurorus, reverses their weakness and resistances and cannot be knocked off.

Pokémon: Abomasorus
Mod of Origin: Fusion Evolution
Stats: 95/125/90/105/90/80
Type:
Ice.png
Ground.png

Abilities: Petrify - When a Pokémon with Petrify enters the battle, it prevents all adjacent opponent from using sound-based moves for two turns.
Additional moves: Abomasnow + Landorus' Moves, Icequake*
Icequake - Ice-type Earthquake that lower's the target's Speed by 1

An all-around good offensive Pokemon, can pivot around Mega Gengar, beats down Trapinch and Flygon, and acts as nice Speed control. Overall nICE mon.
staraptor.gif

Pokémon: Staraptor
Mod of Origin: SylveMons
Stats: 85/120/70/50/60/100
Type:
Fighting.png
Flying.png

Abilities: Intimidate / Reckless
Additional moves: Plume Cannon*, Slipstream*, Bulk Up, High Jump Kick, Flying Press, Sky Uppercut*
Plume Cannon - Flying-type Bullet Seed
Slipstream - 60 BP, 100% Acc, 32 PP, Flying-type, Physical, The user switches out after successful use. Deals double damage under Tailwind
Sky Uppercut - Fighting-type Physical Freeze-Dry that's super effective against Flying-types.

It's like vanilla Staraptor, but like good. Matches up pretty well against the current meta while being defensively checked by Baloon and offensively checked my Mega Lopunny and Mega Gengar.
wormadam.gif

Pokémon: Wormadam
Mod of Origin: Cool Funky Mode
Stats: 70/40/60/85/105/20
Type:
Bug.png
Grass.png

Abilities: Anticipation / Overcoat / Regenerator
Additional moves: Leaf Storm*, Lunge, Leech Seed, Seed Bomb*, Sticky Web, Synthesis*
Leaf Storm - 140 BP
Seed Bomb - 85 BP, 20% chance to lower the target's defense
Synthesis - 10 PP

You look at this and you think:
"This sucks, Yoshi why are you subbing this, you stupid idiot"

That's a fair assumption. It's Wormadam. And the worst one normally at that. However, a combination of how the current meta is shaping up and CFM's uniqueness make this a gimmicky but still interesting option. You see, in CFM, Wormadam evolves into Mothim. This means that Wormadam is not a fully evolved Pokemon. This means that it can reap the benefits of Eviolite, suddenly becoming pretty darn bulky. With Eviolite-boosted bulk, Wormadam easily checks Gengar, Doublade, Trapinch, the other two bulky Grasses, and Wishiwashi. Plus, Regenerator is a huge boon to alleviate pressure from Stealth Rock. Also, it has Sticky Web. Overall, it competes with the other bulky Grasses but I'd say it would definitely have a niche.

Spike Cannon - Steel-type Bullet Seed
Psycho Cut - Now targets Special Defense

Pokemon: Bisharp-Crestmaster
Mod of Origin: Twinmons
Typing: Dark/Dragon
Abilities: Defiant / Technician / Pressure
Stats: 80/125/100/60/100/80 (BST: 545)
New Moves: Outrage, Bulldoze, Earthquake, Power Trip
Overview: STAB Technician Dual Chop does a lot of damage, especially with a Swords Dance Boost. It does have a relatively low Speed stat, so sweeps will be difficult for this. Baloon and Mega Lopunny also deal with it quite well. It can also break through the newly added Florges and Goodra.

venusaur.gif

Pokemon: Venusaur-Dark (and Venusaur-Dark-Mega)
Mod of Origin: All the Aces V2
Typing: Poison/Dark (Base & Mega)
Abilities:
Base: Liquid Ooze / Rattled
Mega: Thick Fat
Stats:
Base: 70/102/73/110/90/80 (BST: 525)
Mega: 70/120/113/132/110/80 (BST: 625)
New Moves: Dark Pulse, Crunch, Power Trip, Pursuit, Nasty Plot, Ploy Stack*
Ploy Stack- Special Power Trip clone.
Tyrant Power- Custom Z-Move (i don't know what the Z-Crystal is called) based from Power Trip. 170 BP, Dark, Physical, +1 Def and SpD.
Overview: A good Set up sweeper thanks to Swords Dance, Nasty Plot, Power Trip, and Ploy Stack. It's mega evolution can also be used defensively thanks to it's typing.

abomasnow.gif

Pokemon: Abomasnow
Mod of Origin: Mega Mirrors
Typing:
Base: Grass/Ice
X: Grass/Water
Y: Grass/Ice
Abilities:
Base: Snow Warning / Soundproof
X: Regenerator
Y: Slush Rush
Stats:
Base: 90/92/75/92/85/60 (BST: 494)
X: 90/112/95/102/135/60 (BST: 594)
Y: 90/92/105/132/105/70 (BST: 594)
New Moves: Liquidation, Horn Leech
Overview: Hail is here! Overall, the Base will pretty much only be used to set up hail, with it mainly Mega evolving into Y to abuse the hail it sets up, thanks to Slush Rush. X is a neat addition as well, but i feel that it is similar to Lileep-Eternal, and one might potentially outclass the other.

rotom-fan.gif

Pokemon: Rotom-Fan
Mod of Origin: CCAPM #4
Typing: Electric / Flying
Abilities: Levitate / Jetstream
Jetstream- Sets Tailwind upon switching in
Stats: 50/65/107/105/107/86 (BST: 520)
New Moves: N/A
Overview: The metagame at the moment is not that fast, with only 5 pokemon having a base speed of 100+. Rotom-Fan allows for some of the slower pokemon in the metagame to move faster. It is the only electric type that is not trapped by Trapinch (besides P2 with Levitate), and it also the only flying type in the entire metagame. It has good matchups against Gengar-Alola (not mega), Lileep-Eternal, and Florges.

deoxys.gif

Pokemon: Deoxys
Mod of Origin: LogicMons
Typing: Psychic
Abilities: Pressure / Trace
Stats: 50/100/120/100/120/110 (BST: 600)
New Moves: Draco Meteor
Overview: Deoxys nerfed to OU power level. An all-around pokemon that is capable of many sets, including lead, defensive, or offensive. It also gives the metagame a Psychic type, which can deal with Goodra and Nihilego nicely.

Pokémon: Decidueye-Sinnoh
Mod of Origin: Regional Variants
Stats: 78 / 117 / 75 / 80 / 70 / 110
Type:

Ghost.png

Abilities: Sniper / Slush Rush
Aditional moves:
+ Ice Beam, Icicle Crash, Ice Ball, Frost Breath, Icy Wind, Hail, Ice Shard, Freeze-Dry, Blizzard, Aurora Beam, Camouflage, Destiny Bond
- Solar Beam, Energy Ball, Grass Pledge, Giga Drain, Leafage, Grass Knot, Leaf Blade, Razor Leaf, Seed Bomb, Synthesis, Worry Seed , Frenzy Plant

We currently lack Ice types. Decidueye offers a very fast offensie Ice mon, with very interesting coverage in Brave Bird and good utility with U-Turn.

Pokemon: Articuno
Mod of Origin: OptiMons
Typing: Ice / Flying
Stats: 90 HP / 85 Atk / 85 Def / 100 SpA / 95 SpD / 125 Spe
Ability: Pressure / Snow Warning
New Moves: Nasty Plot, Calm Mind, Aura Sphere, Oblivion Wing
Competitive Impact: Free Hail. We have no Ice types. No Flying types. No Hail setters. I just gave you three in one.

Moana was wrong
Pokemon: Krakatuby
Mod of Origin: Monotype Gen 8
Typing: Rock / Fire
Stats: 84 HP / 134 Atk / 104 Def / 70 SpA / 84 SpD / 104 Spe
Ability: Crystal Core*
All damage dealing moves are either physical or special, depending on which stat is highest. If both are the same, moves will be physical. Z-moves and status moves are unaffected. If an attack lowers either attacking stat, it will lower the one used. So a physical Overheat would sharply drop the user's Attack, while a special Superpower would drop Defence and Special Attack.
New Moves:
Physical: Flare Blitz, Stone Edge, Earthquake, Flame Charge
Special: Fire Blast, Overheat, Eruption, Crystal Beam, Hidden Power, Energy Ball
Crystal Beam: 100 BP, Special, Rock Type, 100% accuracy, 10 PP, no secondary effects. Aurora Beam animation. Z Power: 180
Status: Swords Dance, Rock Polish, Will-o-Wisp, Stealth Rock
Competitive Impact: Krakatuby is a powerful and versatile physical attacker that can fulfill a variety of roles on a team, including but not limited to Band, SD, Scarf and offensive SR user. Its ability gives it a Photon Geyser effect (sans Mold Breaker) on all of its attacks, opening up access to coverage that it would normally lack. Its a fantastic addition to Smash.

comfey.gif

"I'll put a shock to your system." ~ Static
Pokémon: Elphys
Mod of Origin: Evos For Everyone
Typing: Fairy / Electric
Stats: 75 HP / 55 Atk / 110 Def / 100 SpA / 120 SpD / 110 Spe
Abilities: Triage / Defibrillator* / Regenerator
When attacking an ally, heals them for 50% of HP instead of dealing damage (25% if spread move).
New Moves: Comfey's movepool + Thunder, Parabolic Charge and Nasty Plot
Competitive Impact: Elphys can either fit the role of a priority attacker, or it can fill a SpD pivot. Nasty Plot boosts its otherwise mediocre SpA to threatening levels, and Parabolic Charge gives it a decent secondary priority option. It can go Regenerator and opt for a more bulky option, with Assault Vest pairing with U-Turn to be an excellent defensive pivot.

Pokemon: Crazefly
Mod Of Origin: Roulettemons
Typing: Bug / Psychic
Stats: 115 HP / 115 Atk / 31 Def / 112 SpA / 137 SpD / 90 Spe
Abilities: Galvanize / Gooey
New Moves: X-Scissor, Bug Buzz, Lunge, Zem Headbutt, Psychic, Psycho Boost, Wish, Roost, Rapid Spin, Jump Kick, High Horsepower, Moongeist Beam, Meditate, Misty Surge, Thunder Shock, Fusion Flare, Destiny Bond, Luster Purge, Play Rough, Quick Attack, Cross Poison, Electric Terrain, Spacial Rend, Spotlight, Charm, Shadow Punch, Fairy Wind, Frost Breath, Beak Blast, Magical Leaf, Helping Hand, Anchor Shot, Skull Bash, Smelling Salts, Steamroller, Ice Shard, Comet Punch, Mimic, Acid Spray, Worry Seed
Competitive Impact: Crazefly is quite seriously the craziest Pokémon you will ever live to see. With its mixed stats, enormous special defense and its colourful coverage on both sides of the spectrum, its hard to predict what Crazefly will whip out til it maybe be too late. While its physical side arguably has the better coverage, its special sets should not be frowned upon, especially when packing that potentially Specs boosted Psycho Boost to absolutely pummel physical walls looking to switch in. All in all Crazefly is a hilarious mon to look at and to use.

kingdra.gif

Instructions Unclear. Made the The Dragon Pokemon a Fire/Steel type.
Pokémon: Kingdra EX
Mod of Origin: All the Aces
Typing: Fire/Steel
Stats: 75 HP / 95 Atk / 95 Def / 95 SpA / 95 SpD / 85 Spe
Abilities: Levitate / Flame Body / Flash Fire
New Moves: +Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Flare Blitz, Lava Plume, Heat Wave, Sunny Day, Fire Spin, Flame Charge, Flame Burst, Ember, Incinerate + all Kingdra's natural moves
Competitive Impact: Kingdra EX looks like a decent addition to the metagame, with a fearsome DDance set, and an unsuspecting Choice Specs variant as well. Also helps (hurts?) the evident lack of steel types in the metagame

Item: Big Root
Mod of Origin: G-Luke's Ideal World
Effect: Boosts the power of Draining moves by 50% and the amount they drain by 25%.
Item: Bad Luck Charm

Overview: A powerful and very fast attacker that can take out enemies with good coverage. It doesn't have great attacking STABs, including with Steelworker, but access to Rapid Spin and a pivoting move give it great support capabilities. It could potentially be dangerous with Swords Dance but it's so frail and has a poor defensive typing so I don't think it will be an issue. With Scarf, it can be a good offensive check to many pokemon including Lopunny-Abnormal, Gengar-Alola, Steve, Lileep-Eternal, and Florges.

Sample Set:
Nailsage Sly @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Steelworker
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dash Slash
- Great Slash
- Lunge
- Rapid Spin / Sacred Sword

This set allows Sly to outspeed and pressure out many opponents, possibly giving the chance to remove hazards with Rapid Spin. Dash Slash can build momentum, Great Slash is an extremely strong pseudo-STAB that forces both physically weak pokemon and anything weak to Steel out. Lunge is a secondary STAB that can allow Sly to take a few hits on the physical side while also threatening pokemon like Lileep-Eternal, Florges, and Trapinch. Sacred Sword is also an option to hit Steve and Doublade-Alola, but at that point there's almost too much prediction for it to be worthwhile. Silly Putty isn't a big problem if Sly hits Dash Slash or Lunge, and I'm guessing Great Slash does a big chunk too.

This one I feel is a bit too op now with the Eviolith being on the meta. I"ll have to ask you to replace it
