Pokémon: Tinkaton
OM of Origin: Frantic Fusions

Type:

1746893670394.png

Abilities: Pickpocket / Mold Breaker / Own Tempo / Cute Charm / Pixilate
Aditional moves: Sylveon's movepool
Sample Set:
Tinkaton @ Fairy Feather
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Fake Out
- Quick Attack
- Gigaton Hammer
- Knock Off / Stealth Rock

A simple dual priority mon that can dispatch frail / worn down fast foes, its high special bulk and typing also enable its use as an special wall, but such use may be passive as it kinda suffers 4MSS on such sets.

Also I forgot, bjt Flipped is the first mod that has hit 5 winning subs, and therefore can no longer be submitted for the remainder of the mod!

I do not think the meta is slow personally or in need of speed control, we have a lot of priority, we have fast asf mons in the 130's and 120's which doesnt seem like the tier needs more. I think this tier needs more in the 80-100 range and more like bulk. I feel giving more defensive options is more ideal and these can be mons like samu-h, enamorus, kyurem, etc

The swell of Pokemon in the above 110 range is why Speed Control that isn't very fast natural speed is desired, which is what I specificed in the post. Pokémon in the 80 to 100 range is the best speed tiers for new Scarf users‍♂️

:sm/weezing-galar: (:iron treads:)
Pokemon: Weezing-Galar
OM of origin: Frantic Fusion
Stats: 65 / 118 / 152 / 103 / 87 / 86
Type: Poison / Fairy
Abilites:
Levitate / Neutralizing Gas / Misty Surge / Quark Drive
Additional moves: None
Sample set:
Weezing-Galar @ Heavy-Duty Boots / Black Sludge / Rocky Helmet
Ability: Neutralizing Gas / Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 16 SpA
Bold Nature
- Strange Steam
- Defog
- Pain Split
- Will-O-Wisp / Toxic
Justification: Weezing-G gives us an interesting pokemon, with sky high defenses it can really act as a roadblock to a lot of pokemon in the tier, thanks to its stats and ability it can check a lot of pokemon like tauros, slither wing, ogerpon, tyranitar, registeel, terrakion, iron valiant, etc. It is indeed a bit bad into some pokemon like greninja, ting lu, mamoswine, donphan, clodsire but it can always burn them or use levitate to screw them over. Neut gas can also stop offensive pokemon from using their stuff like AAA slither wing, Regen yanma, tyranitar, simple numel

Pokemon: Zorua-H
OM of origin: CE
Stats: 70 / 135 / 80 / 95 / 100 / 120
Type: Normal / Ghost
Abilites: Flash Fire / Weak Armor
Additional moves: Ceruledge stuff
Sample set:
Ceruledge (Zorua-Hisui) @ Choice Scarf / Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Poltergeist / Shadow Claw
- Close Combat
- U-Turn
- Shadow Sneak

Ceruledge (Zorua-Hisui) @ Focus Sash / Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Weak Armor
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Bitter Blade
- Shadow Sneak
- Poltergeist

Ceruledge @ Choice Specs / Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire / Weak Armor
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Tera Type: Ghost
Timid / Modest Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Fire Blast
- Sludge Bomb
- U-Turn / Trick / Destiny Bond
Justification: This gives zorua some stuff to work with, this also gives us some normal type stuff on hyper offense and gives us a good ghost and fighting immunity in one slot, zorua-h has a lot of potential to work. Zorua is an excelent scarfer with a good speed tier to boot. It has strong options like poltergeist or even access to stuff like shadow ball if it really wants to work with that and even has a special set to work with especially since it can run modest scarf to threaten a lot of the tier

Pokemon: Ho-Oh
OM of origin: Formemons
Stats: 106 / 130 / 90 / 110 / 154 / 90
Type: Fire / Flying
Abilites: Pressure / Regenerator
Additional moves: None
Sample set:
Ho-Oh @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 204 Def / 52 SpD
Careful Nature
- Sacred Fire
- Earthquake
- Recover
- Whirlwind

Ho-Oh @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 104 HP / 252 Atk / 152 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Sacred Fire
- Brave Bird
- Earthquake
- Recover
Justification: This is quite funny but also something i genuinely think, a lot of pet mods have uber pokemon be viable but restricted so they dont really benefit from the stuff in the metagame, ho oh i believe can be a good offensive and defensive pokemon, its large sp def means it checks stuff like azelf, dragapult, numel, valiant, sceptile-mega quite well and with regen it can come in and out of battle. With a defensive set and whirlwind it can shut down a lot of stuff hyper offense may want to do like a cm iron valaint, cm stored power cresselia, double dance registeel, moltres-g, etc. Its quad weak rock weakness is a bummer and also makes it quite easy to pin down with rocks or with rock coverage

AHHH gluke is onto me!

Pokemon: Venusaur-M
OM of origin: Formemons
Stats: 80 / 100 / 123 / 122 / 120 / 80
Type: Grass / Poison
Abilites: Thick Fat
Additional moves: No
Sample set:
Venusaur-Mega @ Black Sludge / Rocky Helmet / Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 252 HP / 152 SpA / 104 Spe
IVs: 0 Atk
Modest Nature
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Earth Power
- Synthesis
Justification: Venusaur mega gives the meta some good fat mons. it is also an amazing balance pokemon which can help stuff like donphan take on stuff like grass and water types and taking on electric types for cramorant which can be quite good for the teammates to work.

Type: Dark / Steel
Abilites: Filter
Additional moves: N/A
Sample set:
Mandibuzz (F) @ Aggronite
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
IVs: 0 Atk
Impish Nature
- Toxic
- Roost
- Foul Play

Mandibuzz (F) @ Aggronite
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 248 HP / 244 SpD / 16 Spe
Careful Nature
- Toxic
- Roost
- Foul Play
- Defog / U-Turn / Knock Off
Justification: This gives us a deffoger in the tier and with a steel / dark typing it does quite well into the tier and especially with its original typing it can check a lot of stuff initially like donphan, munkidori, sceptile-m and it can use filter once it mega evolves to bully stuff like revavroom, greninja, tyranitar, etc. Also gives fat a good fogger, we lack good hazard control in this tier so one who can removal them well is quite a boon which would allow. Mandi can also do a lot of things like be a mixed wall, phys def wall, or a sp def wall depending on what ur team needs

Pokemon: Zarude
OM of origin: Convergence
Stats: 105 / 120 / 105 / 70 / 95 / 105
Type: Dark/Grass
Abilites: Leaf Guard / Protosynthesis / Overgrow / Protean / Sand Veil / Water Absorb / Chlorophyll / Wind Rider / Pickpocket / Tablets of Ruin
Additional moves: All moves from Brute Bonnet, Cacturne, Meowscarada, Shiftry and Wo-Chien
Sample sets:
Zarude @ Choice Band / Choice Scarf
Ability: Protean
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant / Jolly Nature
- Flower Trick
- Sucker Punch / Knock Off
- Close Combat
- Triple Axel / Play Rough / Poison Jab / U-Turn

Zarude @ Leftovers
Ability: Tablets of Ruin
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Spiky Shield
- Leech Seed
- Knock Off / Bulk Up / Ruination
- Flower Trick / Knock Off / Drain Punch (?)

Justification: Grass/Dark is not a great defensive typing, but Zarude shares it with the excellent Pokemon Meowscarada, and a handful of other interesting characters. Having a higher Attack but lower Speed than the cat makes it an excellent Scarfer for offensive Protean sets. However, the moves and abilities it gets access to gives it a lot of versatility. It has enough bulk and access to Bulk Up to potentially run a bulky Tablets of Ruin set. It could be bold and go for Wind Rider sets and boost its and its teammates' Speed with Tailwind. It can cause havoc with moves like Spiky Shield, Leech Seed, Spikes/Toxic Spikes, or Ruination. It can even set itself up to be powerful with Swords Dance sets. This Pokemon has a lot of options, but will be limited by its poor defensive typing.

:sv/tandemaus: :toxtricity:
Pokémon: Tandemaus (Toxtricity)
OM of Origin: Cross Evolution
Stats: 85/110/80/100/80/110
Type: Normal
Abilities: Punk Rock / Plus / Technician
Additional moves: All moves from Toxtricity's movepool
Sample Sets:
Toxtricity (Tandemaus) @ Focus Sash / Wide Lens?
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Shift Gear
- Beat Up
- Population Bomb
- Bullet Seed / Nuzzle (?) / U-Turn

Toxtricity (Tandemaus) @ Choice Specs / Choice Scarf
Ability: Punk Rock
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Boomburst
- Overdrive
- Psychic Noise
- Volt Switch

Justification: Do you like Maushold but wish it was a bit stronger? Presenting a stronger and faster Technician Pop Bomb user, with the better boosting move of Shift Gear. Also has access to STAB Punk Rock Boomburst if you decide to go that route instead.

:sv/azumarill:
Pokémon: Azumarill (UU)
OM of Origin: Tier Shift
Stats: 100/65/95/75/95/65
Type: Water/Fairy
Abilities: Thick Fat / Huge Power / Sap Sipper
Additional moves: N/A
Sample Sets:
Azumarill @ Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Play Rough
- Liquidation
- Ice Spinner / Knock Off

Azumarill @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Belly Drum
- Play Rough
- Aqua Jet
- Ice Spinner / Knock Off / Trailblaze

Justification: Another Fairy type, and in general an upgrade on base Azumarill. The increase of its bulk makes it safer to run Belly Drum sets, and the increase to its Attack makes either its Banded or Belly Drum sets more potent. Also, if you really want to, 65 Speed means that Scarf sets would outspeed Pokemon up to ~120 Speed (252 EVs, no nature).

:sv/houndoom-mega:
Pokémon: Mega Houndoom
OM of Origin: Formemons
Stats: 75/90/90/140/90/115
Type: Dark/Fire
Abilities: Solar Power
Additional moves: N/A
Sample Sets:
Houndoom-Mega @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Solar Power
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid / Hasty Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Fire Blast
- Dark Pulse
- Sludge Bomb / Sucker Punch

Houndoom-Mega @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Solar Power
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Shadow Ball / Solar Beam
- Fire Blast
- Dark Pulse
- Sludge Bomb

Justification: We haven't had a Fire type subbed in a bit, so let's change that. Houndoom is a mediocre Pokemon, but its Mega gives it the stats of a psuedo-legendary. If you can find a way to set up the sun for it, 140 Special Attack and Solar Power will hit like a truck. It also has access to STAB Sucker Punch, which even uninvested can do a chunk of damage against faster foes.

Edit: Also, just because I can, here are all the Pokemon in descending order of Speed (not Speed tiers, I have not calculated the actual stats these become... and I do not want to).

Entei in AAA serves a purpose as an Extreme Speed spammer, that can be customized to whatever revenge killing role a team needs. Outside of that, they serve as a strong wallbreaker for teams with powerful Fire STAB moves.

Latias with it's typing allows it to serve as an excellent offensive glue for teams that need a revenge killer, sweeper or general offensive utility mon. Dragon Electric Psychic packs a whole host of resists for a team as well. Calm Mind sets ate also particularly great as offensive sweepers / wallbreakers, but Choice Scarf is the key set here, letting it snipe multiple threats with its high BP STABs while also holding utility with it's access to Healing Wish.

This justs pulls a sort of M-Lopunny as a really fast pivot, all while also having the constant threat of spreading bad poisoning with Toxic Chain, or it can go with either Technician or Skill Link for more firepower.
My issue is this doesn't really add a revenge killer, where it instead adds more Pokémon to be revenge killed. Not really sure if this mon is outright broken, but it is definitely not really what we need in the metagame right now.

Nuzzle is most definitely not going to be ran on a Shift Gear set, and I struggle to see such an offensive mon care for Nuzzle at all.

For Zarude, the Defensive set ypu posted seems to be everywhere as well. Naive Nature, miss match of moves like Leech Seed Synthesis and Drain Punch kn the same set, I assume serving more or less the same purpose. I can't see this mon ever not running Knock Off as a primary move.

I suggest cleaning those sets up.

I don't think much of anything else needs direct commentary on at this time, so this should need a short 24 hour window lock, just ensure your subs are all polished up.

VENUSAUR GETS INTO FORMATION!!!
:sv/tinkaton:(:sv/sylveon:)
Pokémon: Tinkaton
OM of Origin: Frantic Fusions
Stats: 85 / 91 / 93 / 97 / 137 / 109 (612 BST)
Type: View attachment 739583View attachment 739582
Abilities: Pickpocket / Mold Breaker / Own Tempo / Cute Charm / Pixilate
Aditional moves: Sylveon's movepool
Sample Set:
Tinkaton @ Fairy Feather
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Fake Out
- Quick Attack
- Gigaton Hammer
- Knock Off / Stealth Rock

A simple dual priority mon that can dispatch frail / worn down fast foes, its high special bulk and typing also enable its use as an special wall, but such use may be passive as it kinda suffers 4MSS on such sets.
:sm/venusaur mega:
Pokemon: Venusaur-M
OM of origin: Formemons
Stats: 80 / 100 / 123 / 122 / 120 / 80

:sv/azumarill:
Pokémon: Azumarill (UU)
OM of Origin: Tier Shift
Stats: 100/65/95/75/95/65
Type: Water/Fairy
Abilities: Thick Fat / Huge Power / Sap Sipper
Additional moves: N/A
Sample Sets:
Azumarill @ Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Play Rough
- Liquidation
- Ice Spinner / Knock Off

Azumarill @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Belly Drum
- Play Rough
- Aqua Jet
- Ice Spinner / Knock Off / Trailblaze

Justification: Another Fairy type, and in general an upgrade on base Azumarill. The increase of its bulk makes it safer to run Belly Drum sets, and the increase to its Attack makes either its Banded or Belly Drum sets more potent. Also, if you really want to, 65 Speed means that Scarf sets would outspeed Pokemon up to ~120 Speed (252 EVs, no nature).

Slate 8: Cast Down Your Weapons!

This is it. The finale. The last SSOM slate. No extra restrictions. In fact, as a gift, if you have previously submitted a winning Pokémon, you get an additional slot for submissions! Which means 5 Pokemon subs and even more chances to get wins. Have fun, and thanks for participating! Submissions close in a week.
Also news
1) Tier Shift and Convergence are now also filled with 5 reps each, so no more submissions from either slot!
2) I made a very simple spreadsheet for the meta so if you are making subs you can cross reference. Expect to be fully updated by the weekend!

IVs: 0 Atk

Ability: Fur Coat
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Toxic / Glare
- Foul Play
- Roost
- U-turn / Coil / Protect

Justification: We have had so many offensive Pokemon added that we need a few defensive ones. Also Dunsparce needs some love. With its low Speed and below-average attacking stats this Pokemon should be solid on defensive teams but not unmanageable with the options we have at the moment. Between both Pokemon you have some very diverse options for multiple solid sets.

Justification: Did you know that Formemons Ogerpon does not need to hold its masks? Neither did I! This Pokemon can get a lot more utility out of its item slot now, either giving it more power or longevity. Other than that, it's the Ogerpon we know and love.

Justification: Slow and steady. While my original plan was to sub Re-Evo Reuniclus, I don't think we needed a third bulky Regen Psychic-type. So instead, the fire cat with high attack and solid bulk.

Sandshrew-Alola @ Assault Vest / Heavy Duty Boots
Ability: Slush Rush
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Ice Shard
- Iron Head
- Knock Off

Justification: Ice/Steel is a unique typing, so let's give it a bit of a spotlight. This Sandshrew only has one viable ability, but thanks to Chilly Reception Yanma/Glowking we have a way to set up snow for it. Even without it, the 100/180 physical bulk allows it to take a good number of physical hits, but should be balanced thanks to its 2 4x weaknesses to somewhat common types.

Justification: Gives us a pretty fat ice type, with good bulk into stuff like greninja, sceptile-m, rotom-m, iron bundle, walking wake, moltres-galar, arbovalia and with strong moves it can be a pretty powerful mon. Vessel of ruin makes it so that it is much bulkier than it is and can take a lot of stuff. With 159 attack it is also pretty nuclear even chunking stuff like

252 SpA Life Orb Adaptability Greninja Hydro Pump vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Vessel of Ruin Crabominable: 224-265 (56.2 - 66.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Justification: Mega Meta is something that is quite amusing , well anyway either way metagross is something that gives us a physical steel and psychic type attacker and with actual moves to use instead of having all our steels be defensive mons. With a physical steel/psychic and good bulk it can really find ways on offense to revenge kill stuff like enamorus-t, terrakion, azelf, hawlucha, ogerpon, belly drum azu, etc. The tier definitely has answers to it such as TS slowbro, registeel, cresselia, zapdos, donphan, trevenant and can appreciate the speed control from bullet punch and the hazard support on a non ground type. Intimidate is a valuable ability on it that can see quite good use and with a statline of 80 / 150 phys def you can definitely be a great wall

Jolly Nature
- Waterfall
- Earthquake
- Knock Off
- Bulk Up

Swampert-Mega @ Choice Scarf / Choice Band
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Waterfall
- Earthquake
- Flip Turn
- Superpower / Knock Off / Ice Punch
Justification: Swampert-M in Formemons is an interesting pokemon, without rain to back it up is a solid tank, attacker, and a physical water type that is just a solid attacker with good bulk and utility to bring to the table. With stuff like knock off, stealth rocks, and setup like bulk up it can definitely shine. It can also use a defensive set to really use its utility to its advantage and compared to other waters its a solid tank while dishing out good damage. Choice Scarf can even see use on teams to really allow you on offense to revenge kill pokemon such as greninja, tauros, terrakion,or it can use a choice band set to smack the crap out of fat and slow teams.
