you know mabw, i thought you were past your spamming stage where you would constantly just post names of pokemon and expect a sprite to be done.

Above is my first Scratch Sprite. Any comments?

The idea was better then the product. But my scratching skills are hit or miss. The tounge was rather good yet it missed the Grudge look I wanted, but the skeleton came out horrible ribs looks bad, and the spine is meh. I had to go on my little knowledge of bone color, and how it works in snakes. If anyone wants to fix it go ahead, the skeleton one sucks, and the fleshy one is meh.

Really? That looks like this picture shrunken down and "cleaned up" as a pixel over:

381_latios.jpg

The thing that makes it a dead give away is that it is saved in png but still has jpg artifacts. It might be a pixel over , but not a scratch.

I'm not trying to sound like I'm smashing you, but thats what I see. If it is a scratch, then it would be really good if you cleaned up the artifacts a bit.

That was the picture I was doing, but I did it scratch. The outline was done as a JPG in Photoshop and the coloring was done in MS Paint then saved as a png since everyone always says save as a PNG for quality. I guess technically a PO since I used the colors from the Sugimori pic to color most of it. What did you mean by artifacts btw?

EDIT:

Here is a Custom P/O of Jirachi that I did, based off the Shadow Pokemon.

ShadowJirachi.png

The outline was made in Photoshop, and it was colored in MS Paint. I then took it back into Photoshop to slightly soften the extreme sharpness of the pixels. I think it makes it look a little bit more realistic than a normal Pixel Art.

Artifacts are discolored pixels that occur throughout the image, giving it a "fuzzy" look. This occurs when you save a sprite in .jpg format.

Oh, and Coconut Storm: Gardevoir + Primape

Oh, you mean the look that my Shadow Jirachi has right? Hmm...alright, so is it acceptable to have these artifacts if that is the look you're going for? Like the Jirachi, I wanted it to look a little more softer than a normal sprite, though I guess it's up to the make if it's acceptable or not as long as it isn't a request of a normal sprite.

---Custom Shaymin that I did for a contest:

Obvious Growlithe base, used some custom colors and completely scratched the head and about half of the back.

@Coconut-Can I ask why you used the entire shaymin?

i could've done much better with it. it wasn't harder, it just takes more time and effort.
i didn't put as much time and effort into this, but it is dang good.

Sprite I made that where you had to make a non-Water/non-Ice type into a water type. I thought I was in but I guess not, so I'll post it to see what everyone thinks.

----------------------------------------------------
I really liked the purples and tints on the previous sprite so I re-colored a Rapidash based off of them.
