Yeah, I didn't think to use just the horns; that's one of the first things that caught my eye in your design, making it more Houndoom-ish. But without the ears, I dunno, his head looks kinda vacant.

Yeah, kinda. But it's better vacant than crowded, IMO. Overcrowding sprites never works, from what I ususally see.

I've got to say I like your style, though.

I've been attempting revamps of older sprites today. =D It's relatively amusing. Maybe I'll upload them later.

EDIT: Uploaded! Sorry for lack of a comparison to offer, and again, the fact that they're JPGs.

Lickidater. Spintertung. Haundatung. I dunno, I'm tired.

Nice revamps Fuzz. If you don't want them as .jpg, get the Gimp or Irfanview, easy to convert them.

Ok there's just been one thing that has been bothering. I was a little bored this evening so I decided to give a Lucario sprite a simple re-colour (I actually did Unown first lol) either way I was bothered by the fact that MSPaint only has two grades of each colour whereas the sprites generally tend to have 3 or 4 grades of each colour when used for shading. How do people get around this or is there a way to add grades? Here's another sprite just for the record (I screwed up the size of the Lucario sprite, the face is a bit messy, and please be blunt with me lol:

There is a way to choose any grade. Double-click one of the color on the color bar, an "edit color" window will appear, near the bottom you'll find a "Define Custom Colors>>" icon, click it and you'll see a screen with graded color on the right, choose any color, then at the right there is a shading bar, you can also put numbers for exact shading of colors.

Also, for a recolor you can simply mimic each color of the other sprite by using "Pick Color" button (above the pencil), what you do is choose the color you want to be colored with a left click, and the color you want to replace it (from a different sprite) with right click, then choose the erased, but instead of left click, right click, and the old color will be replaced with the new one while you "erase" it.

So dropped in to check...

DWC is back ....
Gateau is quite good I must say, although he should save as .PNG
Fuzzberry, you need to do more fo revamps. I'm too lazy to type out two para's right now so jst scroll back to the last 20th page or so :P

Loving that Arghonaut Wichu (I know Arghonaut will win....)

Mordock, you still up for the Typhlossom fusion? I'm curious as to waht you see it becoming. =]

<3 the Charizard revamp

I'm pretty new to sprite fusions but here are a few that I've made (This was before I knew about saving in .png sorry)

I also did a Scizor/Metagross (I know its been done before) but a little different, I think it looks pretty cool but you all can judge it.

I'll keep working on some and post them later.

For some reason, fuzz, they all look oddly shaded.
revamps should be more than recoloring, for example, you could've reshaded some of them to fit the more realistic colors that they have now (back then everything was blue/red/green >.<)

Fenix- good begginner stuff, but always save as .Png
watch some tutorials and get some practice in and it will all be smooth sailing.

Fenix- They look cool from afar, but here are the general flaws when people fuse Metagross/Metang arms. Firstly, most of the times the arms are too big for the body, making them disproportionate.. Then most people flip the parts around which wrecks the shading. Finally, most sprites dont have enough shades as Metang line does and unless your sprite has them or you can make good custom colours, many of the shades merge.
The other ones are good except for the Heroudon..Just remeber to save as .PNG :)

and .PNG is better as .GIF and .BMP usually become too big of a file for hosters and they tune down to .JPG, which sucks.
Or something like that.

Mordock- No comment, you havent REALLY improved,

yeah i know but my last one was my first attempt at scratching so. yeah but i don't disagree though.

Legacy Raider, they're awesome..o_o but for Torterra is the one big mountainous thing on the back, iirc it was meant to be 3 seperate sprites, but I probably wrong. Nice though. :)

Some scratch sprites I whipped up. What do you guys think?

EDIT: Goldfan, nice Sharpedo!

You finally decided to post them? Anyway, I hope you don't mind me posting my edits of them (he gave me permission, by the way)...

I smoothed some of the lineart, added some dithering, and recoloured them.

No Wichu, by all means go ahead. I only did them for your game. And your edits look really good by the way, much better than my originals. I'm not that good at spriting, but do you want me to keep going and start on a new family? I was thinking of doing the Piplup line next. What do you think?

Wow LR, those are great scratches! Where were you all this time!? Some edges are a bit jagged though and I think you should define your lightsource more but otherwise keep it up.
