First off that was the greatest football game I've ever seen in my life. And being a giants fan i will remember it forever.

It was a great football game. The Giants dominated the pats offensive line but that didn't stop the pats from keeping it close. When i wasn't on the edge of my seat i was stand jumping up and down.

However, I will admit I was wrong - it was a bad gameplan to pass the ball 50 times against the best D-Line in the NFL with a still gimpy Tom Brady when you had a good back in Maroney.

14 carries 36 yards 2.6 average. Your right they should have kept running the ball.

Do I think Eli should have been ruled down on that play? Definitely.

I'm glad they didn't becasue that was the greatest play i've ever seen in my life.

Now, more power to them if a team can win 4 games in a row at the most important time. That doesn't take away from the fact that they didn't play extraordinarily well (note that after the game in DC, the winning streak that got them to 6-2 was basically scrubs like the Falcons and a depleted Eagles team.) The Giants were not consistently good, from week 1 to week 19; they got good at the right time.

You don't have to be the best team in the nfl. You just have to be the best team on the field.

I don't think i've ever been on such an emotional rollercoaster. Happy, sad, depressed, pumped, everything i felt it though this game.

When i saw eli get swallowed my stomach dropped. I felt my superbowl hopes come crashing down. But out of the stomach of the beast, eli wrestled his way out and threw it up. But when tyree made the catch All i could do was scream. I went wild. I tackled one of my friends and just continued to scream. I couldn't form words. I don't even think i could form a thought, i was so over run with joy and i felt like we had to win this game now.

Then a few plays later, Eli threw that pass up to Plax, I heard my friends mom scream from upstairs do to the delay between the regular tv and the high def. I didn't know if it was good or bad but when i saw plax by himself i knew it was a touchdown. I didn't scream, down on the couch and i'll admit, i cried. One of the Happiest moments of my life.

Anyone who said the giants are mediocre is blind and stubborn. Okay yeah they didn't dominate the regular season like they did the playoffs. But they were still a top rush defense and the top pass rush. They also had one of the best running games in the NFL. And even though we all shit on eli he was still better than most of the qbs in the nfl and he showed that this post season.

Like Steve Young said, If you take the game tapes of both teams from January, the better team one. No one gave the Giants a chance. Why did they deserve it. Your right beating the top two seeds in the NFC on the Road is no accomplishment.

I'll be at the giants parade tomorrow. I can't wait.

Fuck Boston.

EDIT: Also i used to have a lot of respect for Tom Brady. I always liked him but when he refused to shake Eli's hand before the game that was pretty low.

14 carries 36 yards 2.6 average. Your right they should have kept running the ball.

That was not a product of their inability to run the ball, that was a product of their lack of commitment to it.

In the 3rd quarter, when the Giants were playing pass rush 100% of the time, the Patriots did very little to take advantage of that. They ran a few screens (most of them successful actually) and I don't think I ever saw a draw play.

If the Patriots had run it 25-30 times with a 2.6 average, then that would have been a different story.

The problem is, they passed 50 times each game all year but no one stopped them. When someone finally did they had no idea what to do. People aren't giving the Dlinemen of the Giants enough credit, yes they are great pass rushers, but they are also so dynamic and quick that they often get to the rusher before he gets a chance to do anything. The whole year of watching the Giants, I don't remember any big runs, sure someone might have gotten 100+ yards but they really had to work for it.

I just think the Patriots were in total shock that their offense was being shut down, so they kept chucking it down the field hoping for a big play, but they never materialized.

Enough of taking the Giants win away form them, they won fair and square. The beat the team that was going to be crowned the greatest ever, they shut down the greatest offense of all time, you may not like how they got there but you can blame the opposing teams for that. The Giants just wanted it that much more. The Giants played 3 of the top 10 QBs (and the top 2) in the Playoffs and each one was shut down.

I don't think Eli should've been ruled down. He was still up, and I think until you are getting pushed backwards should you be ruled "down" if you are still on your feet. If you are going fowards, or simply getting pulled down, but not going backwards, as long as you stay on your feet, you should still be considered "up".
Call me crazy.

That play, had too many emotions in it to describe for me. I saw the pressure, I thought, and said out loud: Well, good game Giants. Then, he got out of it, and thought: "Well, 4th and 10 is do-able" And when Tyree made the catch, I knew the Giants could pull it off. :35 seconds away from perfection, and the New York Football Giants took away all at once!

I'll admit, after the 0-2 start I was calling for Eli's removal. After the Vikings game I was calling for Eli's removal. But after watching him develop in to an NFL quarterback in a matter of 4 games, I think he's the future.

The interception wasn't even Eli's fault. Smith dropped a catchable ball, though to his defense, it wasn't the easiest of catches to make. But, it was probably one of the best games I've ever seen, on both sides of the ball. In the third quarter, after Blackburn was called on the drive sustaining penalty, I thought it was going to be over. The Pats would score, and the Giants would be too far out.
What a defensive show the Giants put on. Even the rookies got some action: Jay Alford(sp?) swallowing Brady on 2nd and 10 on the last drive. I must say, I didn't think the Giants were going to be anything this year, after losing in the playoffs to the Panthers in 05, and the Eagles in 06, I thought they weren't even going to be in the playoffs this year.

Thank you my Football Giants! You have made me a very happy Giants fan!

Tyree may actually get to be 4th string now xD

Sinorice Moss can't make no catch like that!

Plax
Toomer
Smith
Moss
Tyree
Hixon

I think it goes like that.

my superbowl prediction? giants over the patriots. if the giants secondary plays reasonably well(which they CAN when they aren't hurt), the giants are probably the biggest legitimate threat to upset the patriots run.

I like favre, but he's going to have a tough game next week. Old quarterback vs the giants D line is going to be a disaster.

I'm undefeated at life. That is all.
